13 A Familiar Figure

"Don't you look at the road while you're walking? How dare you bump into the car directly! Are you insane? If you want to kill yourself, go and find yourself another car." The driver peeked out from the car and shouted at her in annoyance. He sounded quite harsh.

Ning Youyou looked at him and apologized immediately. "I'm sorry. I was not focused earlier. I'm truly sorry."

The driver was quite harsh but he did not scold her anymore since she was apologizing politely. He waved her away as she was obstructing traffic.

Ning Youyou raised her eyebrow and looked at the car behind the black car. Surely, it was a Rolls-Royce. They even cleared the way for that car. There must be somebody privileged sitting in the car.

She heard another honk and soon regained her senses. She quickly squatted and picked up her phone before leaving immediately.

Mu Shaoqing sat in the back seat of the Rolls-Royce gracefully and coldly. He was looking at his phone and reading the latest news of the day. He frowned slightly when he realized that the car had stopped moving.

Tang An was sitting beside the driver. When he saw the man's facial expression, he soon went and communicated with the car ahead of them. 

"Young Master, there's a little accident ahead of us. But, they've settled it now."

Mu Shaoqing did not bother about it. He stared at his phone. Soon, the car started moving again after stopping for a while.

Mu Shaoqing looked out of the car subconsciously when the car passed by the junction. He saw a figure that left the scene in a rush. It was just a casual movement. That person tilted her head and looked at a place. Suddenly, she smiled just like she had found a wonderful place. That unconscious smile stunned Young Master Mu momentarily.

That woman... He felt like he had met her somewhere before.

As the car window was closed, he rolled it down immediately, wanting to take a closer look at the woman. However, the car turned to another direction at that moment. That woman soon disappeared from his view.

"Stop the car!"

The driver braked the car immediately when he heard that.

Mu Shaoqing turned around to look for that woman.

"Sh*t!" He cursed in a deep voice, clearly annoyed.

Tang An saw that his young master was looking out of the car. He asked softly, "Young Master, what's wrong?"

Mu Shaoqing regained his senses when he heard that. He sat back at his place and remained cold. He then said coldly, "Drive on."

The car passed the junction swiftly. But, Mu Shaoqing's frown deepened.

Was it because of his exhaustion from working too hard recently? Was that the reason why he was acting weird? He had a feeling that the woman looked quite familiar to him after taking a glance at her.

Although it was just a glance, it made him remember the woman that night.

His expression worsened when he thought of that woman. The Yi family had sent him a big gift but it turned out to be a big mistake at last.

Hmph!

After that day, Yi Wantian had called him and expressed his apology. He explained that it was just a misunderstanding.

A misunderstanding! So, that woman was not Yi Wantian's daughter. Then, who was she if she was not his daughter?

Yi Wantian was unable to provide an answer. The plan he had schemed proved to be a failure.

Mu Shaoqing's facial expression changed slightly. How come that woman would fall into such a trap?

Stupid woman! A fool!

He shook his head to abandon those unnecessary thoughts.

He focused his entire life on his job. Moreover, he always protected himself well and he rarely messed with any woman since women were nothing but trouble. But, that woman was an exception. Surely, that kind of thing would never happen again.
