84 Lu Aotian, the sore loser.

Wan Jia looked at Lu Tongyan silently. Although what he said was quite detrimental, it was all true. It was she who had deceived the Lu family. They had all treated her like one of their own but she left them heartlessly in the name of protection.

She could very much understand Lu Tongyan's fears. Indeed, he was being very lenient by talking to her this kindly. If someone did that to Little Jia, she would not stop herself from killing them.

"I'm sorry." She said, not being able to stop her tears on time.

"It's all in the past." He sighed. "When will the two of you get married?" he asked.

Wan Jia was stunned. Noticing that his change of attitude had been too abrupt, he explained "Wanwan, you're a very nice girl. I won't ask why you did what you did back then but I believe you had your reasons. However, I'm still worried that you may leave again. That's why I want you to marry Aotian as soon as you can. Since you came back it must mean that you love him and you are willing to spend the rest of your life with him, right?"

Just as she thought the conversation couldn't get any more emotional, he added "I always wished that I had a daughter, I always envied my friends who have daughters and flaunt them to my face; and then I met you. With a daughter like you, what could any father ever hope for? It's even through you that I got such a lovely and adorable granddaughter.

How could I bear to hate you? Even though I'm still afraid that you may hurt us again, I still hold a sliver of hope in my heart that you will stay forever this time."

"I won't ever leave, Mr. Lu." She sobbed.

Hearing such heartbreaking words, even if she actually wanted to leave she would stay, much less now that she had decided to stay by Lu Aotian's side no matter what.

"What 'Mr. Lu'? What happened to 'Father'?" he scolded lightly before he recalled that he was the one who had forbidden her from calling her 'father' just a few minutes ago.

"Now, wipe your tears before that punk thinks that I bullied his wife." He smiled as he wiped the trail of eleven rolling down her cheeks. He really still treated her like a daughter and pampered her to the maximum. Even in the past, he had made the two pools of vinegar, Lu Shaoting and Lu Aotian, complain endless times that he was treating her like his real child and them like outsiders.

"Girl, have you eaten? Let's get inside. I'll cook whatever you want to eat." He dragged her into the house, completely forgetting about Lu Aotian and Little Jia who were waiting in the car.

Lu Aotian was incensed. You make my wife cry, and now you casually pull her into the house and forget all about me? Are you not the one who made me wait here?

Little Jia was furious. I was trying to make you and Mommy have a peaceful conversation. Just a little bit of peace. Who mentioned loving her more and even taking away my Mommy from me? She puffed up her cheeks in annoyance, feeling like she had experienced two heartbreaks at the same time.

She was Grandpa's favorite baby. Now Mommy had taken her place. As if not enough, both of them were smiling and looking like each other's favorite. Now she wasn't even Mommy's favorite anymore. First it was Daddy and now Grandpa. This inhuman world! If anyone else had a war going on with her Mommy, she would let them fight to the end of the earth.

Seeing her dejected look, Lu Aotian carried her onto his lap and comforted. "Don't worry, you're still Daddy's favorite princess."

Little Jia glared at him. What favorite princess? Mommy already took my place in your heart and you took mine in hers. Thinking about it clearly, the little girl suddenly burst into piercing screams.

That reminded Lu Tongyan that he had forgotten about some people. "Shaoting, call your brother back." He yelled from the kitchen. He was too busy warming steamed buns for his daughter-in-law to send a message to him.

Lu Shaoting didn't even need to make a call. A teary eyed Little Jia bolted into the house followed by Lu Aotian. "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy…wuuuu" she cried.

"Baby, what happened?" she quickly carried her baby and shot a cold glare at Lu Aotian. What had this idiot done to her baby?

"Did daddy bully you?" she asked as she gently patted the little girl's back."

"He… he said that Little Jia is not..." she hiccupped.

"What did he say?" she asked patiently.

Lu Aotian also listened attentively. What on earth did he say?

"He said that Little Jia is not Mommy's favorite baby! Daddy bullied me. Wuuuu…"

Lu Aotian "…" when did I even such a thing? Where did you learn to tell such blatant lies? Was I not trying to make you feel better?

Sure enough, Wan Jia glared daggers at him and gave him a good thirty minute long scolding.

He held his chest in mock heartbreak. Not only did he not get on his daughter's good side, he was ignored by his father and worst of all, he even suffered getting scolded by the wife. Hey! He wanted to fight for his justice!
