1 The New Beginning

I walked into the school door the smell of soap and bleach hit me on the way in I was wearing my favorite hoodie I usually kept my head down so I wasn't noticed I was heading towards my locker and of course me being the clumsy person I bumped into someone "sorry" I said I bent over to pick up my books that dropped on the floor but they were already in a neat pile being held out to me I looked up at him in surprise he smiled at me "hey are you new here?"

I grabbed my books from the boy " uh..yeah I'm Charlisa and you are?" he smiled " I'm Jason" I opened my locker and took everything out "well I have to get to class..bye bye" I walked into my first class the teacher greeted me with a smile and said "here is everything you will need in the class today ..um have a seat by Edward" I looked around to see who that was and when I saw him he threw his head down I went up to the desk and sat down when I looked at him he was at the edge of the seat and had both his fists clenched I new this place was weird ever since I saw that guy who picked up my books so fast but at first I thought he was mad but now he looked at me like I was gross I decided to study his features more he was so handsome but such a jerk I couldn't understand him I would usually be able to tell what someone was feeling by the way there face looked but he was emotionless I started to get confused then I heard the teacher say "charlisa!?" I stood up "I'm sorry I didn't catch the question" he repeated it " I said what does the equation equal I looked around someone next to me said "c" I looked at the teacher "c" he looked at me " that's correct" I quickly sat down I sighed in relief and found the guy who helped me he was already staring at me I mouthed "thanks" he smiled I was constantly looking at Edward but still taking notes when the bell rang Edward was already out of the door I started to pack up my stuff I wanted to go home already someone tapped on my desk I looked up at him "oh" it was a boy but he looked to buff to be in high school "hey I'm Taylor the one who told you the answer" he smiled a big smile then I saw him scrunch up his nose in desgust "hey I'm Charlisa" he picked up my book bag so when I stood up he passed it to me "thank you" he chuckled "do you want me to walk you to your last class" I sighed I had biology and that is in the other building " sure" he walked out first an I slouched behind him when I got to class the seats had assigned names and I was seated again right next to Edward why does he always gets the window so I switched our name tags and sat by the window Edward sat down and still had the same position and face as last class i took out a sheet of paper and wrote to him

"Edward do you have a problem with me if I offended you I'm sorry can you stop with this attitude"

he looked at me like he was surprised it took him two seconds to read it then started scribbling on the paper and passed it to me

"Charlisa it would be best if you wouldn't have contact with me unless you like danger I'm not the best person to be around".

I scoffed at the note I was so mad but I couldn't understand why I turned to the window while the teacher explained what we were doing "the person next to you is your partner for the year go ahead and start" I'm not cutting into a frog what's the point of it we finished first I saw Edward tense as he stared into the distance I spent the rest of the class with my head down finally the bell rang and he was already out the door I was the last person to leave cause I couldn't find my pencil I got tired of looking so I got up and left but when I turned the corner Edward was standing there he looked at me and right then I could tell he was worried he handed me my pencil so he did that on purpose why is he such a jerk "Meet me here at 8 if you don't show up I'll think the worst ok " I was shocked what is so important that I have to come back at 8 is he in his right mind today " fine Mr dangerous " I said sarcastically I walked away from him and I could feel his eyes on my back watching me I hurried home and made some food and started doing stuff to distract me at 6:45 I decided to go to the store to look around but before I entered I saw a man hiding in the shadows he kept glancing at me so I decided to hide behind a tree and wait I waited for 20 minutes and he was still there a little boy walked out of the store the man jumped out of the shadow and pulled out a knife before I knew it I shouted at the boy "RUN!!!" the boy glanced behind his shoulder and took off towards me the man was furious and ran after the boy I grabbed the boy by the arm and pulled him along he started to fall behind so I threw him on my back I glanced behind me and he was catching up I had to run faster but I tripped the boy quickly got up and I told him "run and don't stop untill your safe..GO!" he ran as fast as he could looking back at me I turned around and saw him right behind me I got on my feet not letting him notice I was hurt "you know he was gonna be my lunch but you ruined it so you'll have to replace him.
