5 Status Window

'Status window", Max didn't expect to see a thing because even though he was summoned to this new world, not a single one of the divinations wanted to link itself with him, a humiliation he would never forget.

But then...

[The host can check his status window, but are you sure you want to permanently lock in your divination?]

Max was confused, after all, he hadn't received any, it looked like even the system made fun of him as it didn't expect for anybody to not receive one.

'Sure sure,' he sighed, 'just open that damn status window.'

In front of him then suddenly appeared a screen with all his information.

[Host: Max Evans]

[Age: 18]

[Race: Human (Evil)]

[Level: 1]

[Divination: ???]

[Special Ability: ??? (locked)]

(The host has not yet unlocked his special ability, be sure to improve to unlock it)

[Skills: None.]

[Strenght: 3, Speed: 4, Endurance: 2, Divination Power: 0]

[???: 0]

He couldn't stop himself but notice that way too many things were locked in his status window, first of all, what does [Human (evil)] even mean?

And why was his divination not shown even though he perfectly knew it didn't exist to begin with, instead there were some sort of chains on it as if it was locked and shouldn't be discovered by anybody.

His special ability had the same chains blocking it, but this time with an "A" symbol on them, one he felt like he had seen before, but he unfortunately didn't remember about the red stains on his book in his past life.

Finally, the final stat was not revealed and just like his divination power was at 0, he didn't know if it meant anything, but to Max, it looked like he truly was just a garbage weakling that wasn't deemed fit to be linked to a divination.

"Now that all of you checked their status window, we will guide you towards the king's room so that he can see the mighty warriors that will save the world and put our kingdom at the top-... I mean that will help the kingdom!" Dreyer smiled, but his ulterior motives were clearly showing.

The students didn't care though as they were excited to see this new world and explore it, and they also wanted to use their powers to fight monsters, saving the world in the process.

Max however wasn't eager about that, he just wanted to go to the nearest city and live a normal life knowing that he had no skill to back him up, he basically planned to tell the king about his condition and hope that he was understanding enough to let him leave.

And so, they were guided by the soldiers to the throne room, and the moment they arrived, the students couldn't stop themselves from gasping at the beauty of the place.

The ceiling was painted with stars and constellations, the floor was made of gold, and the walls were decorated with ancient paintings that told the story of this world.

At the end of the room was a throne, and sitting on it was a man with a gold crown on his head, next to him sitting on another throne was a beautiful brown-haired woman in her thirties wearing a long dress, probably the queen of the kingdom, and beside them was a younger version of the woman standing up, she had brown hair and was wearing the same shining armor as the guards, this was probably the daughter, Max assumed.

"My king, these are the otherworlders that will save us from the demon king!" Dreyer bowed before presenting the class to the royalty.

"Otherworlders?" the king raised his eyebrows, "very well, we have been greatly waiting for their arrival."

"We won't disappoint you," David said, making sure to take the initiative and speak first, "and I promise that we will do everything in our power to save this world from destruction."

"It's great to hear such a young man with determination this strong, I can already tell you will be powerful, now please introduce yourselves and show us your status windows so that we may know the powers you hold!"

And so, one by one, the class members introduced themselves and displayed their status windows to the royals.

They had different reactions to the different divinations they had gotten, whether it was C or S rank, and as expected, once Lucie and David's turn arrived, the royals jumped from their throne in disbelief at the sight of the two SSS-ranked divinations.

"This is incredible!"

"What a blessing, thank you for coming to save us!"

The king and queen were overjoyed by the fact that two SSS-ranked divinations came to their kingdom, and they both bowed down to them, something nobody expected to happen.

After all, in this world, power was everything, and holding such power was akin to being a king, "divinations are the reincarnation of good and prosperity as they help humans and other races face evil" were his words.

"Thank you for coming here, we will forever be grateful for what you're going to do for us."

David and Lucie were surprised at the treatment they were receiving, but the former quickly regained his composure and spoke, "It's fine, we are happy to help, right guys?"

He turned around and looked at the rest of the class, who nodded in agreement, but Max stayed silent.

After a while, every single one of the students had revealed their divination and status window to the royal family.

Then it was Max's turn, and the headmage called him out.

"You are the last one boy, please do show the king and queen your powers" Dreyer smirked and declared, he really enjoyed seeing all the different abilities each divination user had.

But unfortunately for them, Max did advance forward, which led him to receive more criticism from his classmates.

"Look at him... pfft~~"

"Do you think they are gonna behead him as he is useless?"

"Maybe, but it doesn't matter..."

It was mostly the "gangster cast" and some mean girls that insulted him, but the fact nobody felt the need to defend him made Max put them all in the same basket, he then took a deep breath and got ready to confess about his situation.

"I do not have a divination, I was unlucky enough to not receive one" he spoke calmly, trying to relay his feelings to the king and queen in the hope they would understand his situation and help him out a bit.

But at this point, Max didn't know, that in this world, it's either you are powerful, or you are doomed to failure.
