Commotion in the Streets

"Welp, see ya then," Max waved goodbye as he headed towards the exit of the hotel, it was around 3 am and he needed to go back home to see Elly.

"B-bye!" Lilia replied, her face still red, "I'll come visit you later!"

"Sure, that would be nice," he said, before finally heading out, not taking her words seriously.

The boy walked through the streets of Atlanta, his hood hiding his identity from the passersby, and eventually reached his house.

He opened the door and entered the living room, where Elly was currently sitting on the bed, looking extremely peaceful.

Max smiled and approached her before gently patting her head, he hadn't known this half-breed for long, but he felt the intense urge to protect her for some reason.

"Huh...?" she mumbled, half asleep, "w-what time is it?"

"Around 4:30 am," he replied, "go back to sleep, I'm here now."

Elly nodded, then closed her eyes, falling back asleep in less than a minute.
