1 Chapter 1

𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑦𝑛

𝐼  walk out to the front of the department building I work at, but just my luck. It started to rain.

As I take my umbrella to catch the rain, a jet black car pulled up to the curb.

A man that was driving goes to the back seat and opens the door and come out a guy,

I look away for a second, but he catches my eye as he walks into the building with an umbrella over his head.

As my car pulls up, I take the keys from the villa and drive off to my place.

<𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨>

I get up, check the time, and get dressed. Vanessa said that she wanted to meet for lunch today. After I take a shower, I decided to wear something casual.

I heard a knock at the door. I walk to it and open it. Seeing Vanessa, She walks in and sits down on one of my chairs.

"God, Eve, your house is amazing," she chuckles, places her purse down on the coffee table

I mean, she's not wrong. It is beautiful, with light wood flooring, light gray walls, black marble kitchen splashback and loveseat couch, and fluffy grey and white rug under the coffee table.

"Thanks, but it's not mine. My parents pay for it, they say if I have a good place to live, It'll have a good public look for me which I mean they're not wrong but they're not rights. I just hate how they can use the money for whatever," I Grunt under my breath.

Vanessa looks over, giving me a sympathetic look as she grabs her purse and walks over stands beside me.

"Hey, you wanna go somewhere fun, yeah," she says, wearing the most significant and devilish smile on her lips

I laugh as I give into her plan of fun but only for tonight.

"Okay, sure, where are we going? I grab my keys, and we walk towards the elevator.

"Let's go to a cafe and grab something first; I can't take you anywhere with an empty stomach."

<Cafe>

We get inside the cafe and wait for inline "So what's been going on, are you still working late?"  She looks at me but then looks up at the menu.

"Yeah, still working late, my boss says I mean my mom says I had to, I hate working for them. "I look up at the menu and decide what I to get.

'It's always their way or no way I hate them controlling my life."

"Sorry girl, what do you wanna do?" she says

"I can't do anything they own me" I laugh as she smiles.

We walk up to the counter, and we tell them we wanted the coffee to go.

<Afternoon >

I get back to my apartment, turn on the lights and get some comfy clothes on. I turn on the tv and lay on the couch.

I wish Vanessa could have stayed over more extended, but we have very different lives.

I end up watching tv but falling asleep a few episodes in. I've been so exhausted lately.

<3:45 am>

I open my eyes and turn off the tv; I get up off the couch and head for my bed. I get under the covers and fall asleep.
