3 Journey began

After 3 days my birthday came.In the morning I went to the temple and after coming back I came to know that my grandpa was being discharged that day.Everyone in my family including me was happy.

Grandpa came back before the lunch time.When his eyes landed on me his expressions changed from shocked to happy to fear.I pretended like not seeing anything and greeted him with a smile.

After lunch everyone became busy in the preparation of my birthday party.Because it was my first time celebrating my birthday at home,so my family had arranged a big party which was going to be held at our garden.I was sitting on the sofa in the living room and eating grandma's gulabjamun ,when I saw my dad and my grandpa came out of grandpa's study room.They were there for almost an hour.They saw me sitting there.Dad smiled at me and then went outside to check the preparations.Grandpa came towards me and sat on the sofa beside me.

"Don't eat too much sweets,it's not good for health."

"Don't worry grandpa ,this little sweets can't do anything to me."

"what do you mean by little,you have already eaten 20."

"Hehe...."

What hehe..and I have not seen you for such a long time and instead of spending time with me you are busy with the sweets."

"Who stopped you to go visit me.Some people just know how to talk,at least these sweets have never abandoned me.So it's better if I spend my time eating them."

Actually I only casually said that but grandpa's expression changed.He sighed and by looking at me in a serious voice said,"Child,I know that you blame us for living you alone in America.It is also right for you to do so.But you have to trust us that what we are doing are for your own good."

"Then why can't you tell me?"

Silence spread across the room.Grandpa sighed and changed the topic,"If you don't want to have a toothache tomorrow then don't eat any more sweets."I knew that he did't want to say ,so I also stopped asking further."

At 6 P.M. the party started.There were a lot of people in the party.One after one people came to congratulate me.I became really tired.My eyes land on the food stalls and my mood improved in a second.I went near the food stalls and started eating.

Halfway through the party my dad suddenly called me and said that we were going to the farm house.

"Can't we go after the party?"I asked as I looked towards the foods longingly.

"No,by the time the party will end ,the roads will be deserted and it will be dangerous to travel them."

'Dad,I am 16 years old not 6 years old.Do you really want me to believe your excuse."But dad was in so much hurry and did not notice how lame his excuse was.But looking at his worried face I didn't say anything and followed him to the car.Bina and my younger brother were also with us.We got into the car but the car didn't start.

"What happened?"

"I don't know.Let me check."

After a few minutes dad suddenly kicked the car with a dark expression and shouted,"This damned car."

I looked at dad dumbfounded.My dad was a very gentle person.I had never seen him being so angry to the point of loosing control.

"Dad..."I called him softly.

After that dad came back to his sense and looked at me.I could see many emotions within his eyes like nervousness,fear,worry.

My heart trembled.I knew there must be somethings behind his emotions.

"Naina,let's go by taxi."

"Why taxi?Where is the other car?"I asked

"Your uncle has taken it."

"Alright,wait a minute,I forgot my phone in my room.Let me bring it."I said.Dad seemed to be hesitating about something,so i added,"Just a minute"He sighed and nodded.I ran into the house. At that time no one was inside as everyone were at the party.I went inside the room and took my phone.I was about to go out when I noticed a bright light inside grandpa's lab.I felt strange.'Grandpa's outside,then who is inside his lab.'I thought and went into the lab.The moment I went inside the light suddenly disappeared,like it was only there to attract me.I saw a big tunnel shaped machine in the study.I did not know why but I felt like it was pulling me towards it. I uncounsensly walked towards it.Suddenly the light which had disappeared shot towards me from the machine in a high speed and covered me completely with its light.My mind went blank.I felt like someone was squeezing my heart.My vision became blurry and then darkness spread across my eyes.

Afterthat what happened I did not know but when I came back to my sense there was only darkness around me.Wherever my eyes went there was only darkness.I didn't know what happened with me and where was I.I started to panic.Fear spread in my heart.I took a deep breath and gathering my courage I started to walk around.Suddenly I saw light coming from a place.I ran towards it and entered into the light place.The light was so bright that I could not see anything and then.....

I slowly opened my eyes.Still I could not see anything because the light was blinding my eyes.So I cloeyesmy eyes again.My mind was still unclear.After sometime time I woke up completely and then placing my hand on my eyes I thought'Huh...when did I fall asleep.And what a horrible dream I had.Thank God that was only a dream.'

At that time I had no idea that my life had already turned upside down and the journey ,which was going to change my peaceful life completely had already began.
