Midst Of The Tempst

Collin ran fast to find Austin who was a childhood friend of Johnathan, he just arrived at the shore after a week of fishing, and he has no idea of John and his family. When Austin saw the young man running towards his boat, he felt so wrong. He moved towards him quickly.

"Collin! What happened, Is something urgent? Are you alright!" Austin steadied the young man with gentleness and his eyes were filled with concerns. Collins was fully ragged and the smell of the saltwater from the ocean stuck Austin's nostrils when he drew close to the young man. Austin's eyebrows arched when he studied him, 'Did something terrible occurred when I am not here!'

"We n-eed to, need to head back to the water. Olivia is missing, she cruised to the ocean." He closed the statement with a heavy gasp.

"WHAT?! What is happening?"

Christina who followed Collin at a short distance echoed his concerns when she reached the spot, "We need to start moving, I will tell everything on board."

Once they boarded in the boat, Christina made Collin sit in the deck chair and elaborated the past few days event to Austin and followed by that Olivia's disappearance from the hospital.

"Oh my God! Why did he take Aaron with him, doesn't he know it might be dangerous for the young fella. Are you sure that she set sail?! Did you guys file the missing case? Why didn't you ask help from the coast guard?" Austin fired non-stop question back at Christina, as she knew only that Olivia is missing, she looked at the man sitting dejectedly in the chair at a little distance from them.

Austin at once understood her gaze, he called Collin, "Hey man! I am sorry to hear all that!!! But we need to find Olivia before she ends doing stupid things."

Collin looked up with bewilderment, this thought already had occurred to him earlier but he shook it off, Knowing how determined his Sister-in-law was, "No! Impossible! She won't do that, she won't! I am sure, she won't." He repeated the words to Austin but it rather sounded like he was convincing himself.

"Yeah! She was a strong-willed person, she won't do anything stupid. Please do tell me everything about your search, It might help us."

With a dull voice, he began to report to Austin, "I searched for her everywhere, John's residence and mine, and also many other friends home, bars, roads, everywhere but she wasn't there anywhere. As it requires, twenty-four hour time to complete to take legal actions, I could not initiate the police to search at once.

But I did report to the sergeant who helped me look for John and he said that he would keep a watch on behalf of me. Today morning, I heard that Olivia's missing car was stationed at the side of the beach road and also I found that brother's boat is missing."

"Sh*t! Sh*t!!" he instantly did speed up the engine and the boat moved even faster.

"I never thought that she would go there all by herself, It's been a day and a half, I have no idea how deep she would have gone? If I ever knew that she would go to this extent, I never would have closed my eyes. I failed my brother, I failed everyone! I promised Sister-in-law that I would bring them back safe. But, I failed her." tears started streaming down his eyes once more.

.

Christina was torn up viewing the man sobbing in pain, she never knew that Collin was this sensitive. All hard as he looked outside, his inner core of the heart was fragile.

They sailed all the night, it was the second night from the time of Olivia missing.

As the sun rose, Austin believed that she would not have gone further but little did they know that she was sailing in a large circular motion. In the morning, when Olivia's boat fuel was extinguished, the boat was stationed behind the sailing direction of Austin's boat. Which means Austin's boat had already crossed the spot in the night which Olivia reached the same spot next day morning.

----------

Olivia laid unconscious all day in the boat and when the sunset, a storm brewed in. And tiny pellets of water landed of the suntanned face of Olivia making her wake up. She looked around the ocean with a goal of finding them, but still, there was no hint of them. The wave rocked the boat and made the salty water fill in the deck making the whole body of Olivia to be completely drenched.

"Is this how my baby felt on that day?! the roaring sound of the ocean and lightning and thunder. My baby would be frightened." More and more thoughts of her son suffering in the midst of the tempest made her body tremble as more tears flowed out which dissolved in the heavy rain.

She looked at the tear-wrenched photo in her hands, A happy baby waving its hands at his mother, She whispered, "Baby! Did you go through all this alone." she started shrieking and shivering in pain. It was a pain, imagining her little baby going through all this. She held the photo to her heart as if hugging her own child and whimpered.

Another strong wave hit the boat making her wake up from the utmost pain, she instantly stopped crying as if she found the way to find her husband and son, "This storm! this is the storm that took my family away, if I follow it then I would be able to find them."

As the irrational belief formed in her mind, She stood up holding the photo to her heart and yelled at the roaring ocean, "O heaven! lead my way to my family!" As the words came out, she jumped in the water along with her family photo.
