Accidental Powers

*Dream State*

A stormy night into the forest, Jane hanging from the root of a tree is shouting for help hoping that there's someone that could help her. Down below her is a stream in which the current was raging fast. If someone will fall into it, there's no guarantee surviving.

JANE: Someone help me!

Jane shouted loudly as she could as her hand is slipping due to the rain. Not so long she hears

a voice shouting her name.

NICK: Jane! Jane where are you!

Jane realized that it was Nick's voice. She shouted his name hoping that he'll hear it.

JANE: Nick! Nick, please help me!

Nick heard her voice coming from the cliff he ran and shouted...

NICK: Jane! I'm Coming!

Nick ran but got tripped by a stone and he fell down the ground.

JANE: Ahh! Nick! Please help! I'm going to fall!

Jane's right arm slipped and only gripping with her left arm only. Nick heard her and got back up to his feet as he ran towards the edge of the cliff.

While that was in motion back at the forest Ella and Jay were shouting Nick and Jane's name as thunders roared up above them.

ELLA: Nick! Jane! Where are you guys!

JAY: Nick! Jane!

They were so confused and terrified that something terrible will happen to the two because of the storm.

ELLA: It's no use finding them in this weather.

JAY: Oh God! Where could they be?

Ella was really terrified that she couldn't think straight on where to look for Nick and Jane.

JAY: I wish the two of them are alright.

Ella then realized something.

ELLA: Wait, Jay what did you say?

JAY: I wish the two of them are alright? Why?

ELLA: That's it! Wish!

JAY: Wish?

Jay got confused because she couldn't grasp what Ella was saying. But then, he soon realized what Ella was saying.

JAY: What are you saying? O-oh! They could be at the cliff!

ELLA: Let's go!

Ella said to Jay as they ran towards the cliff in the hopes of finding Jane and Nick

*Back to Jane and Nick*

Nick ran towards the cliff and saw Jane hanging with only one hand as he was terrified of losing her. He quickly reached his hand towards Jane and shouted...

NICK: Jane grab my hand! I promise I will grab hold of you no matter what!

Having a serious look on his face and at the same time terrified that Jane will fall. Jane is crying and reaching out to Nick's hands.

JANE: I c-can't reach for your hand. I'm going to lose the grip on my other hand too.

Jane said to Nick crying and losing hope that she will fall and die. Nick reached out just a little bit more and said...

NICK: Don't give up! You can reach for it! Take it! Take it!

Jane tried to reach again Nick's hand and as the tip of their fingers touched, the root of the tree cracked and Jane slipped.

NICK: Jane Nooooooooo!

Nick tried to grab her hand but couldn't reach it. Nick watched her fall as time slows down. Jane tried to shout saying "Goodbye Brother" but she could only say it to herself. Nick gasps as he lip read what Jane said as she splashed the streams overwhelming current.

NICK: N-Noooooooo!

The thunder roared and lightning appeared up above the skies as the heavy rain continuously drops.

*Black Screen*

Nick gasps as he woke up from his nightmare. He suddenly sat down on his bed and breathe heavily. He put on his glasses and stood up, looking at the mirror. He noticed that there were tears in his eyes.

NICK: Why am I tearing up?

Nick thought to himself as he cleared his eyes of tears.

NICK: Did I see the future again?

Gotten confused and wondered on what was he dreaming.

Outside Nick's Room, He heard the footsteps of her mother going downstairs to cook. His alarm clock rang and he stopped it. He opened his door and walked downstairs to his mother.

NICK: Good morning.

He yawned as he sat down the chair. His mother was surprised by him waking up early in the morning.

NICK'S MOM: Ahh! You scared me, Nick.

She said to Nick and continued to prepare for their breakfast.

NICK"S MOM: I'm surprised you're early today. What do you want for breakfast?

She asked Nick as she smiled at him.

NICK: Even when I'm early today, I still have no energy to go to school. But anyways, bacon and egg, please!

Nick replied to his mom sleepy at first. But, his reply about the food was enthusiastic as it was his first time in a while to be cooked by his mom his favorite meal.

NICK'S MOM: Roger that! Now go take a bath. I'll call you when it's ready.

His mom replied smiling.

NICK: Roger that!

Nick saluted to his mom smiling back at her. Then, He ran upstairs and took his bath.

15 minutes later...

NICK'S MOM: Nick are you done! The food's ready!

Nick's mom shouted down the kitchen below.

NICK: Yes mom! I'll be right there!

Nick replied to his mom as he was preparing his clothes. Right after he put on his clothes he then walked downstairs to the kitchen and saw his favorite food on the table and his mom washing the kitchenware that she used. Nick sat down and smelt the juiciness of the bacon. He was food struck (kind of like love-struck but to foods Lol) as he smelt it. He then grabbed the fork and tried to cut the egg. When he cut the egg his eyes were like stars because of the perfectly made egg. He was so happy that he could eat his favorite meal for the first time in a while. It was like watching a kid getting a toy for the first time. His Mom was watching him enjoying his food as she smiled at him.

NICK'S MOM: You really love bacon and eggs in the morning huh?

His mom asked him.

NICK: Yes it's my favorite.

He smiled but suddenly got sad.

NICK: It was also Jane's favorite meal.

He said to his mom.

NICK'S MOM: I see.

Nick's mom suddenly replied.

NICK'S MOM: Nick do you miss her?

Nick's mom asked him.

NICK: Everyday.

He replied and stopped eating.

NICK'S MOM: I do too. But, what happened, already happened. Don't blame yourself on what happened to your sister. You did what you could to save her.

Nick's mom said to Nick encouraging him not to blame himself anymore.

NICK: I know. It's just that I miss her.

Nick looked over the window as he said that.

5 minutes later...

NICK: I'm off to school!

He shouted to his mom from the front door.

NICK'S MOM: Be safe ok? Have a great day at school!

His mom replied from the kitchen washing the plates.

NICK: Ok!

Nick opened the front door and inhaled the air, saying to himself and smiling.

NICK: Let's Go!

Then he took off going to school.

*At the sidewalk*

NICK: It's been a month since the opening day of school.

Nick said to himself walking at the sidewalk.

NICK: It's been also a month that I've been dreaming what lies ahead of me every day.

Nick sighs as he reminisces the days that he caught a glimpse of what was coming ahead of him.

NICK: Even though I could see the future I still can't change it.

Nick sighs and continued to walk.

NICK: But, Jane on the other hand. She still doesn't talk to anybody or have befriended anybody but us. And she's still shy towards us but slowly she became open to us.

Nick smirked and laugh at himself saying...

NICK: As if I also have lots of friends.

NICK: I don't care if I don't have any friends. If only...

Nick stopped walking and he looked up above the sky.

NICK: If only you were still alive.

He said to himself as he closed his eyes and opened them again, and started walking.

*At the school stairs*

Nick walked up to the stairs to the 3rd floor going to his room. But, as he arrived at the 3rd floor of the building he was surprised that he saw Jane going down the stairs.

NICK: J-Jane! Good morning.

He said to Jane as he was surprised that Jane comes to school very early.

JANE: G-good morning too N-Nick.

Jane replied to Nick being shy. Then, the two of them stopped on walking.

NICK: Yes, um. Are you really this early?

Nick asked Jane as he smiles at her.

JANE: Y-yes this is my usual time.

Jane replied to Nick getting red.

NICK: Ah I see. Are you going down?

He asked Jane.

JANE: ...

Jane nodded as she was hiding her red face to Nick.

NICK: Well then, see you at the room.

Nick walked up to the stairs and as he walks closely to Jane going up the stairs Jane suddenly said...

JANE: W-wait!

Nick was surprised at Jane.

NICK: What is it?

Nick asked Jane looking so surprised.

JANE: T-thank you! F-for ... Saving me!

Jane said to Nick getting redder and redder.

Nick, on the other hand, was shocked to hear that. He then remembered the rainy night by the cliff. Looking at Jane, Nick got love struck to the heart by Jane as Jane looked at him back blushing. His eyes were stuck at Jane as he came back to reality and said...

NICK: J-Jane I l-love y-you.

Nick suddenly said that without thinking and Jane was shocked that Nick said that. She became redder and redder as they both look at each other's eyes.

JANE: W-wha-what???

Nick suddenly realized what he said. He thought of Jane his classmate as Jane, his little sister. Jane started walking down but Nick grabbed her shoulder uniform and said.

NICK: Wait! That's not what I meant.

As Nick said that, Jane tripped and got Nick tripped along with it. Nick grabbed Jane and hugged her as they fell down the stairs.

*Black Screen Transition*

Nick gasps and breathes heavily as he suddenly woke up on the clinic bed. He looked to his side, left and right. He felt uneasy and confused as to what happened. Nick sat down and recalled that He and Jane fell down the staircase. Then the curtain suddenly opened as Nurse Shino was checking up on him.

NURSE SHINO: Ohh Jane how are you feeling?

Nurse Shino asked Nick smiling at him.

NICK: My right ankle hurts but I'm fine I think.

Nick replied to Nurse Shino in a calm tone.

NICK: Wait? It's Nick Nurse Shino, not Jane. Speaking of which where is she?

Nick said to Nurse Shino as he got confused why Shino said that he's Jane.

NURSE SHINO: Are you sure you're fine Jane?

Nurse Shino asked him gotten confused also.

NICK: It's Nick Nurse Shino, not Jan...

Nick got tongue tied right after seeing his reflection on the mirror behind Nurse Shino as it reflected that his consciousness was inside of Jane's body. Nick stared at the mirror touching His face (referring to Jane's face).

NURSE SHINO: Hm? Jane are you alright?

Nurse Shino said to him.

NICK: H-huh? Yes, I'm fine.

Nick said to Nurse Shino still dazed looking in the mirror.

NICK: What is this? Why am I inside Jane's body?

Nick said to himself gotten confused as to why it happened.

NICK: That's why I felt kind of uneasy when I woke up.

He looked below him touching his body (referring to Jane's body).

NICK: So this is Jane's body.

Nick said to himself, tempted to touch more of Jane's body.

NICK: N-no I shouldn't. This is Jane's body. This is so wrong.

Nick's face gotten Red as he said that to himself and Nurse Shino was just observing Jane (referring to Nick because he's inside the body of Jane).

NURSE SHINO: Why did you turn suddenly red Jane?

Nurse Shino asked Nick.

NICK: N-nothing. U-um, Nurse Shino, where's Nick?

Nick asked Nurse Shino as to where was his body.

NURSE SHINO: He's right here.

Nurse Shino replied as she opened the curtain beside Nick.

NURSE SHINO: You know. You're lucky that Nick was there to catch you.

Nurse Shino said to Nick inside Jane's body as she was looking at Nick's body.

NURSE SHINO: We found both of you unconscious on the stairwell floor, and by we I mean Nicks friends.

Nurse Shino said to Nick who's inside of Jane's body. Nick couldn't say a word hearing that as he was trying to recall what happened after they fell. But, he couldn't remember.

NICK: But still, how did I get inside of Jane's body?

Nick said to himself and looked at Nurse Shino as she was speaking to him.

NURSE SHINO: It's a good thing that both of you have no critical injuries.

Nurse Shino said to Nick looking at his body which is still unconscious.

Jane was waking up as she was still weak to sit.

NURSE SHINO: Ah! Nick, you're finally awake?

Nurse Shino said to Jane (referring to Nick's body)

(From here on out when the one who's talking is named Nick it refers to Nick who is inside the body of Jane. And when the one who's talking is named Jane it refers to Jane who is inside the body of Nick.)

Nick looked at Jane surprised that she finally woke up, Jane looked at Nurse Shino confused why she called her Nick.

NICK: U-um Nurse Shino kindly excuse me. I want to have a moment with Nick?

Nick asked Nurse Shino.

NURSE SHINO: Sure. I'll leave you two.

Smiling at Nick who is inside of Jane's body.

Jane who was lying on the bed looked to her side and saw her own body. Nurse Shino walked out and closed the curtain. Nick stood up slowly as he walked towards his body.

JANE: W-who are you?

Jane got confused and scared as to why was there someone who looks just like her.

NICK: Keep it down. It's me, Nick.

Nick closed her mouth and said that it was he who was inside her body. Nick then took a mirror on the table beside the bed of Jane and let her look at her face. Jane got shocked at what she saw. She couldn't believe her eyes why he was inside of Nick's body.

JANE: W-why am I inside your body? Why are you inside my body? What is happening?

Jane asked Nick confused, scared and was breathing heavily.

NICK: Just stay calm down. Lower your voice and let me explain.

Nick covered again her mouth as she was speaking so loudly. After that, Jane was calm.

NICK: Ok good. Are you calm now?

Nick asked Jane as he sat down on the bed of Jane.

JANE: Y-yes.

Jane replied and nodded.

NICK: What was the last thing that you can remember before waking up?

Nick asked her so calmly like it was nothing new to him.

JANE: U-um before? Let's see. Um, we fell down the stairs...

Jane answered Nick stuttering and shy.

NICK: I see. That's as far as I could remember also.

Nick replied to Jane thinking of a way on how could they get back to each others body.

JANE: A-ah yes.

Jane replied to Nick getting red and looking at him who is trying to figure out how did they change bodies.

NICK: I think if we try to fall down the stairs again we might get back to our original body.

Nick said to Jane thinking that it was the best solution.

JANE: C-can I ask you something?

Jane suddenly asked Nick.

NICK: Hm? What is it?

Nick said to Jane.

JANE: H-how are you so calm about this?

Jane asked Nick as to why he was so calm about their current situation.

NICK: O-oh. That...

Nick scratched his head and was surprised about the question, smiling at Jane.

NICK: This is kind of normal to me.

Nick replied to Jane's question.

JANE: W-what do you mean?

Jane asked Nick confused.

NICK: It's hard to believe it but in the past few days I only thought of it as a dream, turns out I can see the future?

Nick said to Jane smiling at her.

JANE: The f-future?

Jane still confused replied.

NICK: Y-yeah, I know it's hard to believe. Hehe. But it's just a glimpse though.

Nick answered her question as best as he could still smiling at her so that Jane would be calm.

JANE: So you're saying you can see the future every time you sleep?

Jane asked Nick catching up on his explanation.

NICK: Y-yeah, T-that's basically it.

Nick replied to Jane's answer smiling at her.

JANE: A-after we fell. U-um...

Jane tried to say something to Nick but she was getting red again and shy to say it to Nick.

JANE: U-um. W-we kind of...

NICK: Kind of??? what?

Nick replied to Jane.

JANE: Accidentally k-ki...

Jane couldn't look at Nick getting redder and redder blushing of shyness form Nick. As Nick looking at Jane was waiting for what was Jane going to say to him.

JANE: We kissed!

Jane suddenly said to Nick that they kissed before they fell got Nick surprised and red. Nick became shy also to look at Jane so both of them didn't look at each other after that. Both of them was red and was shy to look at each other until...

JANE: N-Nick...

Jane called for Nick blushing.

NICK: Y-yes?

Nick replied blushing also.

JANE: K-kiss me.

Nick got shocked by what Jane said to him, He slowly turned his head towards Jane and looked at her while Jane was currently looking at him. The atmosphere suddenly got quite as the two stared at each other.

NICK: What did she say? Kiss? (he thought to himself)

Nick gulps as Jane slowly sat up and slowly moved his head towards Nick.

NICK: This is so sudden. Why does she want to kiss me? Shit my heart is beating fast. (He thought to himself)

Nick, on the other hand, wasn't expecting that to happen.

NICK: Kissing my body feels awkward what should I do? (Nick thought to himself)

Jane closed her eyes and waited for Nick to kiss her. Nick suddenly realized why Jane asked him to kiss her.

NICK: W-why would Jane want to kiss me? I haven't even had my first kiss yet. (Nick thought to himself)

Nick also closed his eyes and slowly moved his head towards Jane.

NICK: Here goes nothing.

Nick gulps as he slowly moved his head towards Jane. Their lips touched each other and felt the softness of their lips. Then suddenly...

JAY: Yo Nick! Nurse Shino said you're awake! I came to check up on you! *gasps and jaw drops*

Jay walked in suddenly as he caught Nick and Jane kissing. He got surprised as to what were they doing.

ELLA: Hey! Nick are you fine now?

Ella was just about to walk in when Jay suddenly turned and pushed Ella out saying...

JAY: No need to worry. He's fine we'll come back later.

Smiling at Ella dragging her and not letting her see Nick.

JAY: What were you thinking Nick!? Ella would transform into a monster if she saw that! (Jay said to his thoughts)

ELLA: W-wait Jay! I want to see Nick.

Ella got angry at Jay and demanded that She should see Nick but Jay was still pushing her away.

On the other side of the curtain, however. Nick and Jane continuously kissed after Jay saw them and didn't mind at all. They felt that they were the only ones there.

NICK: It worked.

Nick opened his eyes after they kissed, shocked to see Jane's beautiful face so close in front of him and that they finally switched to their original bodies.

Jane got red and got a shy look at Nick after the kiss. Nick got red also and was also shy to look at Jane.

NICK: U-um. How did you know a kiss would work?

He asked Jane interested in knowing but still shy to look at her.

JANE: H-huh? Ah, well.

Jane said to Nick surprised and shy.

JANE: I just thought of it as the trigger.

Jane answered Nick.

NICK: The trigger?

Nick got confused with Jane's answer.

JANE: W-well you said it yourself right? In order for you to see the future, you must be asleep.

Jane explained to Nick.

NICK: A-ah, yes.

Nick scratched his head.

NICK: But yesterday I didn't catch a glimpse of what might happen today. Sleep couldn't be my trigger.

Nick thought to himself.

JANE: S-so I thought that my trigger would be when I k-kiss the person.

Jane said to Nick.

NICK: Y-yes that could be it.

Nick agreed to Jane's explanation.

JANE: However the injuries of our body remained to our original body. Our consciousness was the only one that switched.

Jane said to Nick smiling as she was glad to be back at her body.

NICK: That explains why my head hurts.

Nick put his right hand on his head and rubbed it as he said that to Jane.

JANE: Thank you again for saving me.

Jane said to Nick smiling and looking at him. Thanking Nick for saving her again.

NICK: W-well it's my fault we ended to that accident.

Nick replied to Jane embarrassed to look at her beautiful fair-skinned face.

JANE: W-why did you say I Love You?

Jane just remembered what Nick said before as she was stuttering asking him why.

NICK: A-Ah!

Nick got surprised, wasn't ready for that question.

NICK: I... I... W-well... You s-see... Umm...

Nick stuttered and was embarrassed to answer Jane's question. And then Ella popped out of the curtain.

ELLA: Why won't you let me see him, Jay!?

Ella shouted as she opened the curtain and saw Nick and Jane talking.

JAY: Wait, Ella!

Jay shouted.

ELLA: Oh! you're here Jane. Are you ok now?

Ella surprised to see Jane on the bed of Nick.

JAY: O-oh... Phew...

Jay exhaled deeply as he was glad that Ella didn't saw them kissing. Ella was talking casually to Nick and Jane asking if they were ok.

JAY: You owe me an explanation, Nick.

Jay thought to himself looking at Nick as he smiles at the three of them and joined in the conversation.

*5 minutes later*

ELLA: But still, it's really hard to believe that you got here to school early Nick. It's not like you.

Ella surprised to learn that Nick got to school early as she mocked him.

NICK: What! You're mocking me huh!

Nick said to Ella irritated at her.

JAY: Haha. Yeah! Who are you and what have you done with my best buddy huh?

Jay agreeing to what Ella said to Nick.

NICK: You two! You really look down on me huh?

Nick sighed as he asked the two.

ELLA: Well it's true. Am I right Jane?

Ella asked Jane.

JANE: H-huh? A-ah yes.

NICK: Aw come on. Even you agree to them Jane?

JANE: B-but, I'm glad that you're early today.

Jane said to them as she smiled at Nick. Ella, on the other hand, got jealous that Nick and Jane get along so well as she looked at them smiling at each other.

JAY: Boy I'm hungry!

Jay shouted.

NICK: Yeah me too. What time is it?

Nick asked Jay.

ELLA: A-ah yes me too. You still can't stand right?

Ella asked him suddenly.

NICK: A-ah yes.

Nick replied to Jane surprised she suddenly spoke up.

ELLA: What do you want to eat for lunch? I'll buy it for you.

Ella smiled asking Nick what would he want for lunch.

JANE: Is it even allowed to eat inside the clinic?

Jane asked the three of them as the three creepily smiled at her knowing that it wasn't allowed.

JANE: A-ah? What's with the creepy smiles?

Jane terrified to see their creepy smiles

NICK, JAY, and ELLA: No we can't.

The three looked down disappointed.

JANE: Then what's with the creepy smile?!

Jane said to them aggressively but with a scared face.

NURSE SHINO: Well you can actually.

Nurse Shino said to them coming out of nowhere.

JAY: Wait we can!?

NICK: Seriously!?

Nick and Jay shouted with gladness.

ELLA: What do you mean Nurse Shino? It says here in the student rule book that it doesn't.

Ella said to them while reading the student handbook.

JAY: You know Ella. Sometimes, rules are meant to be broken.

Jay creepily said to Ella.

ELLA: What do you mean broken!? Not on my watch you idiot!

Ella bopped Jay on the head as she said that as the two started to argue with each other again. Nick and Jane, on the other hand, were just watching Ella and Jay argue and smiled at them as it was normal for both of them to see Ella and Jay argue.

NURSE SHINO: It's said here that it's ok if the teacher allows them to.

Nurse Shino said to them as she took the student handbook and read it thoroughly.

ELLA: O-oh yes it does say it.

Ella read it again.

JAY: So you will allow it Nurse Shino?

Jay knelt down at Nurse Shino begging her to allow them to eat inside the clinic as Jay looked at Nurse Shino with puppy eyes.

NURSE SHINO: Of course I allow it.

Nurse Shino smiled at Jay as Nick, Ella, and Jane was glad to hear that from her.

NICK: Are you sure you'll allow us Nurse Shino?

Nick asked her glad to hear that she said that she will.

ELLA: Then it's settled we'll have an indoor picnic here.

Ella said to them as she straightened up and gave them the thumbs up.

NURSE SHINO: I will allow you. If...

The four students got shocked to hear that there's a catch to it, as they looked at Nurse Shino's face that turned creepy. The four gulps and was afraid of what was the consequence of them having a picnic inside the clinic.

JAY: I-if what?

Jay asked Nurse Shino trembling with fear from Nurse Shino's creepy face.

NURSE SHINO: If you guys invite me to your picnic.

Nurse Shino said to them becoming from having a creepy face to her normal matured and caring face, as Nick, Ella, Jay, and Jane's eyes sparkled and glad to hear that from Nurse Shino.

NICK, ELLA, JAY, and JANE: We Love you Nurse Shino!

The four shouted as they cried happily inside of their hearts.

ELLA: Alright then, Jay let's go buy lunch.

Ella said to Jay determined.

JAY: Let's go!

Jay replied directly to Ella smiling.

Five minutes later Jay and Ella got back from the canteen from buying lunch, as Nick still sitting from his bed was talking with Jane who was still sitting at the side of Nick's bed and Nurse Shino who was sitting right beside Nick with a chair. Ella put down the foods on the bed of Nick as she asked Jay to get the table that has a roller below to push it just besides Nicks bed. Jay did so without arguing with Ella, Jane helped Nick to position him sitting at the side of the bed getting his feet down on the floor. Nurse Shino just watched at the four students in front of here smiling at them and was glad to see that the four of them have a great bond with each other. Ella prepared the table for their food and Jay got Ella a chair for her to sit on. After the preparations they began to eat and talked casually as nothing had happened, they were all smiling and converse as if they were a real family. Nick was glad to see his friends faces smiling, he looked at Jane as Jane looked at him. He smiled at her thinking "You really are similar." as he imagined again his little sister. Ella and Jay, however, started arguing again, as Nick and Jane were glad seeing them argue as it was just normal for them. Nurse Shino however, didn't try to stop them. In fact, she was just smiling at them as she opens herself and talked to them that the four of them was like her classmates back then when she was still in school and that they started to listen to her talk interested in knowing what her teen days were. So they kept on talking and talking until the bell rang.
