Ezekiel clenched his fist in anger.
"No matter what you do, you'll never know what she looks like. Anastasia is safe and sound somewhere far from here. All you need to do is sign the papers, and I'll bring her back to you. It's that simple," Robert added, wiping the blood from his lip with the back of his hand. He hesitantly sat upright in the chair, wary of another punch from Ezekiel.
Ezekiel scoffed.
"It's a good thing you came here," he said. "And you see this," he picked up the property papers on his father's desk. "You can forget about acquiring half of my family's assets because it's never going to happen. Get out!" Ezekiel threw it in Robert's face, angering the latter as he gritted his teeth silently, but he didn't bother retaliating.
Having to leave the office without the need for bodyguards or even police officers dragging him out was a miracle.
He wouldn't want to push his luck any further than he already had.
