Chu Wuyou should be leaping in joy upon seeing both her darlings approaching; instead, she was starting to get worried.

She knew that Ye Lanchen was a smart man with a scheming mind. It would not be an easy feat to fool him and one wrong move might result in her courting her own death. 

Chu Wuyou could not allow him any chance to reinforce his doubts.

After exhaling deeply, Chu Wuyou searched for Ye Lanchen's phone number and pressed the dial button.

Ye Lanchen who was standing not far behind from her narrowed his gaze when his phone rang. He waited for the ringtone to ring three times before picking up. 

"Hello." His deep, magnetic voice was unusually melodious to the ears. As per usual, not much emotion was detected in his tone.

Chu Wuyou's lips twitched when she failed to uncover any emotion in his voice. He was a great actor. There he was, stalking her, but managed to pretend as if nothing strange had happened.
