1 Birth and Death

Deep near the center of the universe lies a brown dwarf star. This star was once a magnificent blazing sun, however it lost its flare and lacked the ability to fuse elements at its core. But with death comes new life, as shown when a meteor containing tiny bacteria crashed into this dwarf star.

Bacteria is the basis of all life and it can adapt to almost any situation. When bacteria landed on this dwarf star, its adaptability was pushed to the limit as the gravity was extremely powerful at about 500 m/s² (50x earths gravity).

Gravity was the least of this new strand of life's problem, as the atmosphere in this dwarf star was only 5% oxygen. This kept any multi celled organism from growing any larger than a pebble. However one organism adapted to this dwarf stars unique orbit and thrived.

The dwarf star was occupying a binary star system but its orbit was skewed so its partner sun would bathe its solar rays onto it for 20 hours every week. This new organism, lets call them Solarents, were the first organisms that gained the genes that enabled them to be enhanced under the sun.

This gave them a great advantage compared to other normal organisms and thus they became the apex family on this dwarf stars genetic tree.

Flash forward 2 billion years

"Aaaaaaahhhh!!" a banshee like scream resounded a nearly barren structure.

Inside a room, a red skinned humanoid woman seems to be giving birth to a child. She is tightly gripping onto the hand of another red skinned man. The man displays a facial expression of great pain but he knows that this pain is completely overshadowed by what his partner is experiencing.

"Thana please don't grip so hard.." he grimaces slightly again.

"THORIN SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU WEAK LITTLE BITCH!!!" yells the woman named Thana towards her partner.

'Even though I am the strongest living being in this star system I am being called a weak bitch...' truly a low moment for Thorin, however any shame that is being experienced is overshadowed by the 'joy' of child birth.

After a couple of hours a child's wail is heard and a healthy red skinned baby with tinges of black blood on its skin is born.

"A boy!" exclaims Thorin to his wife, as he examines the babies lower regions. Both of them are glad and relieved, as a girl would not be ideal in their current circumstance.

"We need to put him in the pod..." Thorin says this with great sadness towards his wife.

"Wait, let me hold him." Thorin nods and very gently hands the child to her and she whispers.

"Cytto my dear child, you will experience great difficulties in the future, but our blood runs through your veins so there is no situation you cannot overcome." Thana caresses her child's face then hands him to Thorin, then cries as grief washes over her.

Thorin cradles Cytto in his arms with great care and walks out of the room and down a hallway. He goes up a flight of stairs and enters the roof of the building. Thorin gazes into the sky and notices the greatly increasing red light. He feels his body grow stronger but no matter how strong he is right now he cannot defeat the upcoming calamity with muscle alone.

The brown dwarf star that Thorin and his family inhabit is called Deox, and has very little life on it currently. The amount of solar radiation bathing Deox by its partner star simply has gotten too strong and only the strongest creatures could still survive the radiation poisoning. Any hour now, Deox's partner sun would simply tear it apart due to its proximity.

In the center of the roof of the building there is a ten foot tall aerodynamic shaped rocket ship. This rocket shop was one of the last products of the Solarents. It was the only space ship capable of escaping the star system as anything less would not be able to reach the escape velocity. However the rocket boosters are only strong enough to launch twenty pounds of cargo along with it.

Cytto is laid down on a table and his father pulls out a syringe from a bag on the table and inspects it. The syringe full of black liquid that Thorin holds is the most advanced breakthrough in all of Solarent history.

'With this injection Cytto will be able to accumulate strength and psycho-kinetic energy with exposure to the sun as compared to the short but extreme burst of power us normal Solarents get' Thorin summarizes the last invention of the Solarents to hims. This change in genetics is so extreme that Cytto will be a completely different species from his parents.

He wonders if Cytto will even be capable of reproduction but he is willing to take the risk, as this serum would basically make his child invincible on whichever star system he will arrive at.

Thorin injects the Cytto with the serum and lifts him out of his cradle and into the ship. He closes the hatch and gazes into the glass at his son. The glass becomes frosted over as the cryogenic chamber prepares Cytto for deep space travel.

"Cytto... I know for sure you will survive, you have been named after the great battle god Cyttorak so you are destined for greatness." Thorin walks to a console with a series of buttons and types in a code. The ship, shortly after, launches and slowly fades out of view.

This is the last time Cytto will have seen his true parents.

As the ship leaves the Deox's dense atmosphere it rattles and shakes. The ship finally exits the atmosphere after two minutes and leaves Deox.

Deox soars at 100 km/h towards impending doom. How ironic that the cause of the rise of Solarents would also be the destruction of their species.

Deox finally collides with its partnering sun causing a massive explosion that spewed solar flares in all directions. Unfortunately Thorin's worst fear for his sons departure came true. A solar flare millions of kilometers length lashed out towards Cytto's ship like a cruel tentacle of death. The solar flare moving at tens of thousands of kilometers per hour was slowly melting the bottom of Cytto's ship.

However the unexpected happened, Cytto's ship vanished from existence.

An omnipresent voice resounds through the star system.

"This is an interesting specimen."
