Duke opened his eyes to find himself on a large bed with pure white sheets and surrounded with pillows, looking from the bed to the surrounding area it seemed like he was in Royal bedroom, no it was a wooden hut and then it changed from the wooden hut into normal bedroom, rubbing his eyes he looked again and it was room in a hotel, his throat was dry and sore from the heaving and he was having a little trouble breathing, Duke tried to swallow some saliva but found it impossible to do so and started panicking.

"Here have some water it'll help" a hand appeared from nowhere holding a large pint glass of water towards Duke which he had grabbed and drank without even thinking, the hand eventually became an arm, the arm became a torso added a second arm then legs and feet and finally a head, the face on this head was of a smiling middle aged man who reminded Duke of an actor from the avengers, you know the guy captain America but there was a problem, his cloths kept changing and his hair and facial hair were growing into different styles and colours, his face and arms would have scars and tattoos appearing and disappearing but the smile never left his face.

A look confusion with a hint of wonder in his eyes Duke couldn't help staring at this man for a few minutes before the man spoke again.

"You know Duke it's rude to stare at people right" the man said while sitting on the edge of the bed, finally managing to swallow by himself Duke finally spoke to the man "Who are you a..and why do you keep changing" the man suddenly burst out laughing holding his stomach as if what Duke had said was the funniest thing he'd ever heard, after he'd stopped laughing the man took a few deep breaths had another chuckle before finally answering "So that's why you were staring I'm not surprised, who I am according to your race is God but I prefer to be called Verse as in the multiverse, and for question two the reason I keeping changing is because my name is also what I'm the god of" Duke stated at the man again his mouth open enough to fit an egg onto, leaning over Verse closed Duke's mouth before continuing to talk. "I brought you here to explain something to you but first you haven't died, you aren't reincarnation nor are you transmigration well not really, you see when you were born my sister the god of souls had a trick played on her by her son and she kind of put your soul into another version of you, so I corrected that last night by switching the two souls of you and we'll you in a multiverse portal, I assume you dreamt of that yes, good" all through this explanation Verse had his hands on his head rubbing his temples "So now your soul is in the correct body and so is well the other soul I had to change his memories about the powers of your world so no one would think he's crazy and luckily other than the powers and maybe a few leading companies the worlds are almost exactly alike, oh and about the powers yes yours is a system and no it isn't a gift Duke that's all you" still sitting there with a blank look on his face he suddenly woke up from his dazed state and was about to speak to Verse when he was interrupted "well time for you to go Duke your parents are worried about you, hopefully we won't have to meet again and good luck" Patting Duke on the shoulder he fell asleep again. With a seep sigh Verse thought to himself that maybe he should do something for Duke, looking around liken someone could be watching him Verse clicked his fingers smiled and disappeared.

Duke woke up for a third time that day this time in the hospital, with a groan he opened up his eyes and started coughing. "he's awake quick get him some water" he heard his mom's voice beside him "here baby have some water, come on drink up" he was propped up by his mom and had the glass brought to his mouth to drink l, after a couple of sips he pushed the glass away "Its ok mom I can do it myself" managing to sit up he looked at his mom and saw her smiling with tears in her eyes, he knew she was worried about him after hearing what had happened today, Duke smiled at his mom "I'm ok mom really I am" hearing Duke says this his mom burst into tears and dived at Duke giving him the biggest(and currently most painful) hug of his life, but just as he was enjoying it a message appeared in front of him.
