10 10 Creation System version 1.0

"The thousand angels closest to me, come forward!" There was a shout of joy from the chosen, and they stepped forward. Then there was some awkward shuffling and the beginning of an argument as they realized that far too many of them had volunteered at same time. I shushed them.

"I will not deny any of you volunteers. For this project, the more of you assigned the better. Furthermore, not all of you may be willing to spend a literal eternity as the power behind the scenes. I will be assigning a fair amount of those not chosen to become the System as managers of new worlds."

I let the volunteers discuss my assignment among themselves, but none left. I didn't think any would, as it was too soon for divergent personalities, but it is always important to make sure one's volunteers are truly committed.

I smiled at my soon to be personal collective biological supercomputer. Then I commanded the angels to become more. Their minds melded into one, their already incredible memory and processing power joining to become a being of wondrous precision, speed and retention. Then they connected with my existence, becoming an inextricable part of me.

I then pondered on the System features I desired. I wanted something to regenerate me if I should somehow be damaged. A virtual creation modelling program would also be of great use to play test creation ideas as well as any abilities granted to me. And of course, the whole reason I wanted a System in the first place was as a buffer between me and dissolution.

The first thing I did was to set up a buffer for myself. As the Collective were able to understand everything it came in contact with, it would be able to form a virtual copy of my mental structure

at all times, with only the targeted focus changed from itself to me. When I would give the Create command to the System, it would interface with nothing and chaos in order to give rise to my creations. It was far safer for a System with a collective will count in the thousands to fight off dissolution instead of me risking it with every Creation.

The second thing I did was have the System create a static virtual copy of my existence, which was internally labelled with today's date, Creation 1. If something managed to alter my body or mind by more than five percent (to be determined by my System), then a loading sequence would be triggered, causing my saved existence data to overwrite my current existence. So that I wouldn't lose memories by being overwritten, I also made sure that my memory would be automatically backed up. It would be used to update new existence loads if the save system was ever used. I made sure that there would also be a running log of any changes made to my body so that the effects could be recreated if we actually wanted to accept the changes.

I then had the System set up the virtual modelling space. It could be very accurate by the simple expedient that it was copying my mind at all times, and thus could extrapolate what would be created. I could save projects under customized labels, and once a project was finished and submitted for Creation, the System would emulate the mental patterns used to create everything to bring the virtual creation into reality. This setup would be very handy once I wished to create world that was less homogeneous than the one I'd just created. Additionally it would be very useful for making sure there were no surprises hidden in the abilities to be granted to me as a Hero.

I stopped and thought. I now was very much assured of not dying, whatever happened, and had the basics of a functioning System. While there was more I wished my System to do, I was now able to help Spagetti.

I had the System create a backup of its current processes on a biological computer that I had it stick in the water in the shape of a Kraken. After making sure the file was labelled Creation System version 1.01 CD (Creation Day) 1, I turned to Spagetti. "Let's get this show on the road! I do want you to send me details on your regeneration package later, though, as I feel like my save/load system is a bit too hamhanded. I need more elegance!"
