Chapter 2- Siren's Wish

A short Haiku- KingIceReaper

A Wishful Sky

*Gazing on the skies above

We all wish to see

Falling stars to wish upon*

A poem that rings true for many. We all wish to see our wishes fulfilled. We wish for nothing but a chance to wish that things could go right. Even though sometimes things seem to always fall apart. Just like the stars fall out of the sky; which soon will never be seen in the sky again. Our wishes of life fall apart just as quick. Falling to never be seen again as we grow older. Maybe it wasn't for a chance, or maybe it was for a lack of trying. Because we, too didn't wish to fall from our own little skies.

"I had asked my father when I was young what he regretted. He said never doing what he loved. I felt that myself after a few days in this world. Maybe I could also reintroduce myself. My current name is Shino, once a Samuel, and I am the proud owner of both an incomplete set of memories from Shino after his death, and a complete set of memories of Samuel from earth. In this new life I found myself in. I would make the best use of my time to complete the wishes of myself, my family, and maybe a couple people in this world. Because sometimes a wish and a push for it to come true is all we need. That's something I would believe in. Or maybe I was just stupid, but in a good way? Right...

No one would know until the time would come for that person, but for me, this is how my story would begin. A wish that came true. To once more live in another world.

----------------------------------Later In the Day After My Little Monologue--------------------------------

It had been a couple days since my little fainting spell. The first thing that happened when I had awoken was that Sebastian was in my room helping keep me clean. Have you ever woken up naked in front of another man... Without having a clue on most of the things happening right now beyond two sets of memories in your head. No, then you don't get to complain about my reaction being unrealistic!

"You can't do that young master Shino. A person of your status simply can't clean yourself. If I let anyone find out about this I would be in an incomparable amount of trouble."

"Yeah, IF you let that out. Besides should you even be talking about cleaning me to other people? Not trying to sound like a bother, but that honestly sounds wrong. On so many levels. Like even Jarmonga I believe his name was; the Monster tower keeper 'Stereotypical dungeon in a fantasy world'... would be reluctant to keep it there."

That joke was good enough to at least even draw a chuckle from him it seemed like.

"Very well, if you're gonna be stubborn about it, I'll let you. But I'm not coming out of this room, till I'm assured you're clean. I know for a fact you've never once cleaned yourself after all these years, and I'm curious why you want to do so now of all times. You better not be thinking of trying to not clean up at all?" The look of accusation on his face was kinda funny.

To state the obvious of what I did next, was that I simply cleaned up. No fancy magical shenanigans with the water, or trying to comprehend the Dao of steam. Some things were simply simple. Stupid cultivators and their two thousand year long tests in order to select disciples.

It was after my wash up that things changed. I went practicing in order to develop my Siren chords to an acceptable level according to my new life's memories. Something magical happened. With a feeling of unity with my voice I sang the song of music.

*When feelings reach never beyond your chest...

and when your voice can't seem to hear itself...

when your words seem to never be but a lie...

and when you just wish your words were the truth...

Let your chords feel it out...

let your heart turn around...

awaken the sound from within...

let your inner self begin to show...*

A song sung by all those who wish to develop their chords. It loses its effects the more a person sings it however. The reason had nothing to deal with magic or anything, but that simply people lost connections with most songs they sung over time because people's feelings typically changed. Also this song that was as short as it was didn't connect with people all that much.

For a person who had never experienced the music of this new world but once however. It was something that would forever remain in their hearts eternally. What kind of growth would that cause in a person? Would even the weakest and least talented person grow exponentially in strength.

It was with this, the current me finally now had my own Siren Chords. So I too could sail into the deep in this journey of music.

"Shino, I can't believe it. Those stupid buffoons actually helped awaken your chords!!! That's great we gotta celebrate tonight. Tell me, what do you want to eat, and I'll send the servants to get a hundred servings of it. We'll have a feast tonight!!!

Thinking for a bit I felt my jaw clinch in anticipation, unfortunately that caused me to bite my own tongue thinking of the meal. Yelped and holding my cheek, even if that didn't really help I felt like cursing myself a little. "Hmmmm, maybe something light with a bit of soup Bro..."

Getting a nod from the butler in the corner of my room I found him walking up with a book dedicated to different recipes just for that... 'When did he get that!!!' Truly he was living up to his name as Sebastian. "You see master we have, beef..shinsu...miso...Barbecue corn..." So that's how I formed and celebrated the formation of my Siren chords.
