1 Prologue(Rewrite).

{Part 1}

Some students who saw him walking in the corridors are standing aside making way for him.

These students are afraid of him. And there are only very few people who take the initiative to talk to him.

Was he a delinquent?

Maybe in the past... When there is someone messing with him, he wouldn't hesitate to throw a punch. Because of that various people gangs up on him seeking for revenge only to have their asses handed to them.

He always attends classes and had a Perfect Attendance in school. He never gets late and always 5 minutes before the scheduled time. His grades in Exams are always above 90, frequently got perfect scores, and rarely got below 90. When in Summer Vacation, he always finished doing his homework at the first day of school. He joined the soccer club and he was a Super Ace that won the National Championship in the Inter High. His Physical abilities are top-notched. In other words... He was a perfectionist.

"Hey, did you see that... yadda... yadda..."

"Yeah! Nanahoshi-senpai is so cute in her swimsuit... yadda... yadda..."

An freshmen students who didn't saw him walking that didn't understand its place in the world blocked his path. They seemed to be chatting loudly without any care in the world.

He gripped both of their shoulders and forcefully split them apart. "Out of my way trash. Don't stand in front of me and scram."

"Hiiii!!!"

"S-sorry!!"

Those ignorant students ran away in critters like baby spiders the moment they saw him.

"Hmph."

The only flaw he had, was that he was very arrogant.

His arrogant demeanor and his body giving off an oppressive aura. He was unapproachable.

Being surrounded by praises by people around him with his talent, it was only natural for his ego to grow.

He always thinks of himself as superior to anyone. And of course, he always put tremendous effort to achieve that.

School judges students like him by his grades and sport abilities. It only fueled his ego even further for being super talented in both.

Plebians students around him are just secondary characters for him to trample underfoot, with him being the main character as he will be showered with the spotlight.

For example, the only reason why he is so good in academics was because he finds pleasure on beating the class representative the smartest person in his grade...

For that he worked hard and studied hard to do that, and then the day passed where he is already at the Top of his grade. He could then feel pleasure of calling his class representative an idiotic monkey.

"I am the King."

{Part 2}

He was being called by the teacher in the Office.

It frequently happens and the teachers have headaches because of his personality.

"Hey Barou-kun, how about you stop sleeping in class?" The Homeroom teacher asked him.

In class, Barou always sleeps. And even if the teachers and his classmates tries waking him up, he never wakes up until he wanted to.

"I refuse." He said firmly. "I live how I want to live. And I study how I want to study. That is my Philosophy."

The Homeroom teacher couldn't help but sigh. Earlier in class, another teacher complained about him sleeping in the middle of class.

Barou always does this. Whenever there was a topic where he already studied, he won't bother listening to the teacher or taking notes. He would rather doze off and sleep waiting for the class to end.

But his grades never get worse.

"Well as long as you maintain your grades, I don't really have any complaints." The Homeroom teacher shrugged his shoulders and gave up convincing this troublesome genius. Baruo won't listen to what he says, and always do it.

"Then I'll leave. I'm gonna be late for club activities at this rate." He then left.

{Part 3}

After doing some afternoon practice in the Soccer club, he decides to walk home. He always works hard more than anyone in the club. He starts training first, and always leaves the last.

Knowing from the weather forecast, there was a high chance that it would rain today. As always, he brought an umbrella that he prepared.

Across the road, he saw 3 of his classmates.

"---- That's why, you----"

"You're the one-----"

It seems 2 of them are having a lover's quarrel, while the third wheel is trying to pacify them.

"Tsk..." He clicked his tongue in annoyance as the veins on his temples bulged.

Blocking his way back home and having a quarrel in the middle of the road. He was pissed.

"Oi, the three of you."

The three of them stopped talking and looked at him. Immediately each of their faces turned into different expressions.

After all, these three are the only few people that was 'friendly' with him that dared to get close to him. Though sometimes his arrogance also rubbed them off the wrong way.

"Barou-kun." Kuroki Seiji

"What are you doing here?" Nanahoshi Shizuka

"Barou!" Shinohara Akihito

"Step aside and find a place to fight, not in the middle of the road. Your an eyesore." His tone as arrogant as always.

It is a fact that he was pissed when they are blocking his way. But there was another reason for this.

As a perfectionist, having a quarrel in a public place like this was an eyesore. He keeps constant order in his surroundings, cleaning and organising his living space. It is also raining and the three of them could get sick.

You could say it was his kindness to look after the people in his surroundings.

And most importantly... It is very dangerous since they are in the middle of the road. There's no saying that a truck might come out of nowhere and run over them at a tremendous speed, with the driver on a sleep-deprived driver on his steering wheels.

Like the same exact example of the truck that he saw that was going at them.

"Shit, get out of the way you three idiots!!" With his sharp instincts that was honed with sports and his overwhelming talent, he could react in split second.

It was said that Barou not only had the strongest arms out of any Highschool, but also the quickest legs, and his build-like-a-brick-shithouse body moved so fast like it weighed nothing. It was even questionable wether the laws of gravity still applied on his body.

Though he had talked to them earlier, there is still a certain distance between the trio and him.

The first one reached was Shinohara Akihito who was also hugging Nanahoshi Shizuka in his arms to brace for impact.

With his quick-witted thinking, he assessed that this is an opportunity to save them both. Two birds in one stone.

As for Kuroki, in his peripheral vision he saw a fat man pulling him away saving him.

'Nice one fatass dirty old man!' He rejoiced.

Now there is only one thing he needed to do. Pushing Shinohara out of the way would save them.

As his hands grasped Shinohara's back and was about to push them away.

This was the time he realized that it was too late. The truck already collided with his body along with the fatass.

*BAM!*

He rolled away and was flown away several tens of meters from the impact.

His internal organs smashed to paste. His spine and ribs broke. His eyeballs popped out. His body suffered an irrecoverable state.

Even if his mother wouldn't recognize him if she looked at him now...

'Shit...' He cursed out of frustration.

Not only did he failed to save his classmates in front of him, he is too weak to survive this collision.

He WANTED to save them, but he is weak.

With his Philosophy of doing whatever he wants, however he wants, he didn't regret trying to save them. He would rather die doing what he wants, than do nothing and live in guilt for the rest of his life.

"..." He could feel his body getting colder every moment...

It didn't take long before the lights in his eyes died.

He never thought he would die like a mob character. He always thought he is the main protagonist of his life.

He always thought that with his talent and effort, he is not a protagonist with a very strong plot armor but just a mob character dying a meaningless death. He is much worse than a side character that even with its death, it could greatly influence the protagonist.

Even with his body being trained ever since he was a child, putting extreme effort. But against a speeding truck, his body can't possibly survive at this rate.

Barou Shoei...

For the first time in his life, he encountered his first ever failure of beating the game of Life.

Failure, a phenomena that unavoidably occurs to anyone in the world. Even for the world's most capable man, winning every challenge in life is impossible.

What's important is, 'What you learn from losing.'

But the moment you failed at the game of Life, it's already Game Over

Even if he learn from this failure, there is no extra lives in the Game of Life.

Or was it?
