1 1- Judgment and reincarnation

"Human 15316, named Mario, you are about to stand trial." I looked at the huge Archangel in front of me who declared these words and I looked around and saw that I was on some sort of stage in the middle of an immense white limbo.

"Do you have anything to say in your defense before the trial begins?" The angel spoke to me again and I tried to open my mouth to say something but no sound came out making me a little scared, "Oh yeah you can't talk without my permission." the Archangel said and snapped his fingers.

I felt like a puff of air suddenly entered my lungs and ended up coughing a little while looking down, "W-Where am I?" I asked with the little voice I could muster and I saw the Angel opening his hand and a kind of tablet full of words appeared in his hand.

"You are about to be judged for the crimes and sins you committed in life, do you have anything to declare in your defense before the trial begins?" The angel asked once more and I could only shake my head denying it because I wasn't remembering anything in my life.

The angel seeing my agreement spread its great wings leaving the white limbo around and its voice that seemed infinite sounded in my ears, "Human Mario!" He told me and I held my breath waiting for what he was going to say.

"You lived an ordinary life and apart from the great desire for adventure in your heart there is nothing we can use to condemn you, Congratulations you will receive a chance of reincarnation for your good conduct!" The angel said and his form immediately shrunk to a 6 year old smaller than me.

"So am I clean?" I asked as I felt a strong urge to curse at that moment but held back, "Yes, you are clean sir human." the little Angel said as he gave a clean and pure smile not allowing me to feel any feelings of anger.

"So what's all this judgment for?" I asked as I let out an empty sigh and realized that my memories of my life had returned, I really did live a dull and ordinary life not even graced with major problems.

There were no problems and childhood traumas, I had a good love life and besides getting married I had 3 children with all of them following the correct and normal path without any problems and I even got to know my grandchildren at the end of my life.

"How boring." Although it was a happy and simple life that many would like to have I couldn't help but mutter under my breath, "I agree sir Human, your life has been boring even for me who only judges souls everyday!" The little angel said as he laughed and clapped his hands twice making a big roulette wheel full of figures and symbols that I recognized as the powers of different anime heroes and characters.

"However, this boring life of yours has granted you a reincarnation pass, so be happy and spin this wheel to find out which power or skill will accompany you on this journey!" The angel said and I couldn't help but feel a touch of excitement, even though my life was boring I've always been a fan of manga, movies and series and the thought of gaining the power of some of them excited me a lot.

Without hesitation I got up and put my hand on the wheel before turning it with all my strength, a little song that reminded me of the surprise weapons box in Call of Duty zombies started playing and my eyes were glazed in aim seeing countless powers and skills that anyone would like to have by going through the arrow.

And then the roulette stopped.

"A sword-shaped program code?" I mumbled the features of my reward and couldn't help but tilt my head to the side wondering who this brand belonged to but the angel soon cleared my doubts, "Congratulations you took out the swordsman system, JACKPOT!" The little angel said patting my back as I kept myself confused.

"Don't worry, you got something really good!" The little angel seeing my doubts consoled me and clapped his hands again making the symbols and figures on the roulette change to names which I recognized very well and before the angel could explain I said surprised, "These are worlds of anime, manga besides movies and series! Will I be able to reincarnate in one of them?" I shook the little angel who tried to escape my clutches.

"Yes yes, you will be able to reincarnate in one of them now stop rocking me!" The little angel said already dizzy and I released him with a face a little embarrassed at having lost his composure, "Sorry." I told him and put my hand on the roulette wheel which started to spin madly.

As she spun a thought crossed my mind, "Wait, if I end up reincarnating in a world like Attack on Titan or Marvel, wouldn't I be doomed?!" This thought startled me deeply and I immediately tried to get my hands on the roulette wheel to stop it catching the Angel by surprise.

"Wait! If you try to stop the roulette now it will go" He tried to scream behind my back but I had already put my hands on the wheel and tried to hold it and the roulette stopped immediately surprising me, "She will what?" I turned around and asked the little angel who broke into a cold sweat.

BOOM!
