12 Chapter 12: The G.O.H

Soren had walked outside and stood in the front yard before remembering something that Misha had informed him about a few months ago and closed his eyes to sense for a specific presence.

'I need to go to South Korea… I will find what I'm looking for there': soren

Soren then flew into the air and blasted off towards the North towards South Korea and after a 5 minute flight at full speed, the beaches of Seoul were in Soren's sights. Soren then landed in a secluded spot where he wouldn't be sighted, and if he was seen he was confident that nothing would get out due to no one believing the person that saw it happen, and with that Soren began to travel around Seoul. Soren had took time to look at the sights as he began looking for the ever famous Monkey King from one of his favorite webtoon series called God of Highschool, and when Soren heard that it was going to be turned into an Anime he became excited, but sadly never got the chance to see it due to his death, but now he would be able to live it and that was by far way better.

'I can't understand a single thing any of the Natives are saying… Misha can you help me out with that?': soren

When Soren looked at the quest he was surprised to see how easy it was as all he had to do to complete the quest was earn a single System Point, but the problem was that he had no idea how to earn System Points.

{Soren you can earn System Points through the completion of Quests, but no Quest has been issued that gives points yet}

'So I need to wait until I get a quest for points? And not only that, but I also need to earn enough points to buy a Language Card… I guess I will go with the first option then': soren

Soren then began walking the streets and happened to see a man who appeared to be a high quality business man and quickly make his way over to him, and upon Soren brushing against him he used his Ki to invade his head and learn the Korean Language.

[Oi!... Damn brat you bumped into me!]: business man

[Ay, sorry about that mister]: soren

Soren then quickly left as to not cause too much attention to himself while the man just sighed and continued walking to work as he was about to be late.

[Oh shit!... I'm gonna be late!]: business man

The man ran off and Soren had seen him running towards his destination and when Soren saw the coast was clear he continued towards the direction of a powerful aura that still seems to be slumbering.

'They never gave the name of Mori's school, so all I can go off of are power levels, and there are quite a few strong one's here, I guess I can only visit all of them': soren

Soren then started searching all over the city of Seoul and soon came across a group of kids surrounding 2 other kids, and Soren took interest in one in particularly as he wore a Dark Green Sleep mask over his Dark Brown hair, his eyes were Dark Brown with Yellowish Orange Pupils, he also had big ears, but were still considered a normal size. The boy also wore a Navy Blue jacket over a button down White shirt that had no tie, and the top 2 buttons were undone giving the kid room to breathe, and with a single move the boy knocked out the other kid and began to walk off while humming a random tune.

'There he is… Thank god he was the second person I had checked instead of the last, and another powerful aura is nearby and about to show up as well, that's why I picked this place': soren

[Lala lala lala~... I beat em real good!... Lala lala lala~ I never lose!]: mori

Soren heard the song Mori was humming and felt that he was a bit too cocky and decided to make an introduction and ran over to Mori.

[Hey there slow down]: soren

Mori just continued to walk towards what Soren assumed to be his home, and from behind Soren could see a tall Blonde man in a Black suit stop his presuit and watch both Soren and Mori as if trying to decide between something. Soren then ran up and grabbed hold of Mori's shoulder and turned him around, and when Mori saw this he was a bit angered as his happy face showed a hint of annoyance.

[What do you want!?... Can't you see I'm trying to go home?]: mori

[Fight me]: soren

When Soren said those words Mori had a smile grow onto his face and put his fists up to fight with Soren while Soren just casually faced off against Mori as he wasn't serious just yet.

[Why didn't you open with that… Let's fight]: mori

Soren then decided to strike out first at an average pace and when Mori saw this he blocked Soren's punch with his left arm while using his right leg to kick Soren in his left leg trying to knock him down, but instead Mori felt like he was kicking a steel wall.

[Oww ow ow wow… Your leg is so strong! Do you practice Taekwondo too?]: mori

[Hehe, you could say that, yeah]: soren

When Mori heard that he decided to fight Soren seriously as Soren proved to be a worthy opponent, and with that Soren began to fight Mori using only Renewal Taekwondo. Soren had fought with Mori for 10 minutes straight before they both realized that they were not getting anywhere with their fight and stopped to take a quick break before they would continue the fight, but before they were able to continue their fight, a Blond man in a Black suit stepped between the two of them and spoke.

[How about putting this fight on hold for now and continue it later in a competition?]: blond man

When Soren and Mori saw the man they both turned their attention to him and Mori spoke.

[Who are you?... If you don't mind I would like to continue my fight]: mori

The Blond man then turned his attention to Mori, and with the ever ominous smile he carried punched past Mori's face and destroyed a bunch of trees while leaving a cut on Mori's cheek. Mori then turned to see a bunch of trees that were once standing tall had now disappeared leaving behind stumps and some fallen debris, and after seeing the sight he turned back to the man and spoke with the same curious face as he had before when the man made himself known.

[How did you do that?... Soren, let's fight later, I wanna fight this guy]: mori

Mori had told Soren that they would stop their fight for now as he felt that this Blond man was way stronger than Soren and would give him a better fight, but the man just looked at Mori with the same smile on his face and spoke.

[I'm not here to fight, just here to give the both of you this…]: blond man

The man then had 2 cards appear out from his sleeves and handed one to Soren and the other to Mori, and while Soren took the card into his hands, Mori wanted to fight the man and tried to kick the man with his right leg only to have the man block the kick with his left arm and punch Mori with his right fist sending him down to the ground.

[I home to see the two of you at this location in the upcoming week]: blond man

Soren then watched as the Blond man then left the two of them where they were, and while Mori popped back up as if nothing happened Soren could see a bruise appear on the right side of Mori's face.

[I… Lost…]: mori

Mori then jumped up and began to walk back home while whistling and being all happy while shouting that he lost before shouting towards the setting sun.

[Grandpa, I lost for the first time in my life!... I'm gonna join this tournament and win for sure!]: mori

Soren could only slightly chuckle due to him imagining the exact scene from the comic where Mori's grandpa was in the sun cursing him for not telling him in person as if he was dead. Soren then read the face of the card and found out that the Blond man's name is Agent R, but from the comics Soren knew that his real name was Judge R, he was the son of the Jade Emperor and was actually a Demi-God as his mother was Human.

'So he took both of us?... But I thought there was only allowed to be 1 contestant per Agent?': soren

Soren just put the thought to the back of his mind as he continued to wander the city while taking in the sights, and just like that a week had passed and the day of the G.O.H Tournament had started. Soren was walking through the main doors and noticed the line of people getting shots and saw a lady wearing a Black suit telling all the people to show their invitations before sending them to stand in the line to get a shot. Soren showed his invitation and stood in line to get the shot and when it became his turn he lowered his power to 0 while hoping that his body was still weak enough to get a shot as long as his power output was at 0, but the needle had snapped, and the doctors didn't find this weird as they knew that many martial artist trained their bodies, and the needles will have a hard time entering their bodies. Soren then had to take a special pill that let the bio-nanoparticles enter his blood stream, and then Soren was given a bracelet that had a small digital screen and was told to go wait further inside for further instructions.

'So this is the bracelet that tells them how powerful my power is, but how will it read my Ki?': soren

{Don't worry Soren, these bracelets were meant to read all kinds of different energy and convert it into numerical value for their servers, they do this because the Gods that reside in the bodies of these kids take on all forms of power}

'I see, so I guess I can look at my power then': soren

Soren then looked at the bracelet around his wrist and watched as the screen began to calculate his power and after a moment of calculating the numbers appeared letting Soren read them as well as the higher up who had kept track of all the levels to be able to search for potential threats as well as potential Agents.

'Hmm, this is a bit lower than I thought it would be, and also why does my HP have an error code after the number 9?': soren

{I can explain this for you easily Soren… First, the Level means the sturdiness and strength of your body, that can rise if you release more Ki to surround your body… Your HP or Health Points are off the charts that their system can register due to the amount of Ki concentrated within your body that is also ever growing… And your GP of God Power is at 500, a level that is just on the verge of becoming a Demi-God, the reason for this is due to the concentration of your Ki even though it's not God Ki, its Ki that can match the God's that protect Earth, it will also rise in the future}

'So I'm basically the top dog around here if I were to go all out… I thought this would be interesting, but it appears I was wrong': soren

Soren was about to leave, but then a tapping sound was heard through the loudspeakers as someone came in while saying "Testing" and after realizing that the mic works fine he began to speak, drawing the attention of all those present.

[Everyone listen up!... When you first entered you were injected with Bio-Nanoparticles, these will flow throughout your body and act as a life support. In simple terms, you won't die after a fight… Also, if you look at the bracelets we handed out, you will notice it shows numbers, and that is because it is called a Nano Technology Interface that receives information of your body from the Nanoparticles. In other words, it will provide you the information about your body, such as physical strength levels, as well as stamina levels. Soren then watched as people started to fight with those closest to them, while others ran for their lives while trying to figure out who was weak enough for them to take advantage of, and just like that many of the weaker people began to group together, while the stronger ones began to act like lone wolves attacking the weak. Soren just decided to sit over in the corner while waiting for the competition to die down, but he was soon surrounded by a group of people, and as Soren looked up to see them, he noticed that they all were around Level 6-9, he then got up and patted his pants before speaking.
