37 Chapter 37: Fighting Mihawk

The Marine ship knew that any further action might be troublesome so they stopped their attack and continued to the Baratie and docked, soon after the Marine ship docked, so did the Going Merry. Once the Going Merry docked, Luffy told everyone to stay back so he could go apologize for the cannonball shot into their restaurant, and when he came back he was wearing a busboy outfit of the Baratie and started explaining that he has to work for the restaurant for a while, but would try and find out a way to end the punishment soon.

[Then while you are working, let's go eat for a bit… I heard this place has a great soup]: soren

Soren, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp then got off the ship and entered the restaurant and were seated down at a big round table, and soon a tall man with Blonde hair and curly eyebrows wearing a Black blazer with 6 Gold buttons on the front over a Blue shirt with dark Blue vertical stripes and a Black tie, as well as a pair of Black pants and dress shoes.

[Hello beautiful, my name's Sanji… What can I get you today]: sanji

Sanji tried to kiss Nami's hand, but he immediately had his attention brought towards Soren who was leaking a bit of killing intent towards him intentionally, and Sanji felt annoyed and spoke.

[If you continue to do that I will need to ask you to leave as you are disturbing everyone's meal around you]: sanji

Soren smiled as Sanji had the balls to speak up to Soren even though the amount was small, Soren's killing intent was suffocating, and when Sanji saw Soren retract it he felt he won, but wasn't expecting Soren's next words.

[If you wish to keep your crotch the same as it is currently… Stay away from my daughter]: soren

Nami who heard Soren call her his daughter blushed a bit as Soren had never really called her his daughter, but she always wanted him to call her and Nojiko his daughters just like Bell-mere did.

[Daughter!?... My bad… So, what would you guys wish to eat today]: sanji

Then everyone at the table began to order starting from Nami then to Soren, Zoro, then finally Usopp, and after a small wait, their food was served. Soren took a bite and thought that Sanji's food is quite good compared to his, Soren thought that Sanji could at most compete in Totsuki Academy for a week or two before being kicked out, or maybe he would improve and end up graduating.

[What the hell is this!... Waiter! Come here now!]: ???

Soon, everyone's attention was brought towards a table that had a man who wore a Marines outfit sitting across from a beauty, and the man was calling out towards Sanji who was giving Nami heart eyes from a distance while trying to not lose his little brother due to Soren's anger, and when Sanji heard the man call him waiter he went towards them to find out the problem while emphasising that he is not a waiter, but a cook.

[Was "Bug Soup" on the menu today?]: ???

[What seems to be the problem, and what "Bug Soup"?]: sanji

[Take a look at this… What does this look like to you?]: ???

[Hmm… It's a bug, and he appears to be swimming, but he could also be drowning, it's a bit hard to tell]: sanji

Everyone in the restaurant began to give a chuckle towards Sanji's antics, and even the woman that came with the man was laughing a bit, and this just made the man mad as he began to shout.

[Do you know who I am kid!... I'm Major Fullbody of the Marines… One word from me and I can have this infestation you call a restaurant condemned you know!]: fullbody

Fullbody had smacked the plate of soup away making it fall to the ground as Sanji had something snap in him as he knelt down to mourn the loss of the soup as he then spoke.

[You could have just taken the bug out and eaten it… And it would have been the best]: sanji

Sanji then flipped and began beating Fullbody for wasting his food, and after beating him Black and Blue, Fullbody left while shouting comical villain lines like "This isn't the end" and left with the woman he came with.

[Sorry about that everyone… Please enjoy your food]: sanji

Soren then watched as Luffy came out to start picking up plates of people that have finished their meal, but he got hungry mid way and began to ask people if they were going to finish their food when they just started eating, and to the ones who caved in due to the generosity in their hearts, Luffy began to eat their food while collecting more plates before heading back into the kitchen.

[Did Luffy just…]: usopp

[Yeah… He just scammed them people out of their meal]: soren

Soren then heard Luffy being reprimanded on his work ethic and how he was doing a terrible job, and Soren understood that being a Pirate was indeed the only job that was made for Luffy. Soon, a man busted in through the front door of the Baratie looking half dead and starved as he began to scare some people and took a seat and demanded for food, but was soon kicked out by the one the more muscular cooks, and Sanji made his appearance to feed the starved man who had just come back from the Grand Line after not even being there for a week.

[Thank you Sir!... Thank you Sir!... Thank you!]: ???

[Don't mention it… Nobody should be left to starve to death]: sanji

Sanji lit a cigarette and took a deep drag before taking the empty plate from the man and heading back inside to do the dishes, and a few hours later the man that was fed by Sanji came back into the Baratie with a man 3 times bigger than him around his shoulder just as weak as he was before Sanji fed him, and after almost getting kicked out once more, Sanji came out with a plate of food and gave it to the big man.

'So we are getting into the Don Krieg arc... I can soon fight Mihawk': soren

Once Don Krieg finished eating he looked up towards Sanji and thanked him, but after getting into position Krieg launched towards Sanji and clotheslined Sanji sending him crashing into the back of the Baratie, and this commotion brought down the owner of the Baratie, Zeff.

[Now!... I will be taking this ship as my new Pirate ship, any who feel the need to stand up to me, come and die now… Also, that cook will be cooking for all my men now, so wake him up]: don krieg

Soren got board of waiting for the good part to happen so he kicked back and took a quick nap until he felt the presence of Mihawk enter, and after 20 minutes, everyone was outside getting ready for the fight of their lives until a man floating on a coffin with a sail came in between the Going Merry and Don Krieg's damaged ship. Soren felt his presence and quickly woke up and placed his hand on his sword only to notice that he was the only strong person left in the restaurant as everyone else was outside while the rich customers were watching the fight from the window.

[Should be a good show now]: soren

Soren walked out from the inside of the Baratie and watched as Zoro took a step forward and was preparing himself to fight the best swordsman in the world, and after taking off his weighted clothing Zoro was now 750 pounds lighter and could move more fluidly, Soren then watched as Zoro claimed himself to be worthy of fighting Mihawk and when Mihawk drew the smallest sword he had, Zoro felt insulted as it was just a pocket knife.

[Come… I'll entertain a fight with you]: mihawk

Zoro then charged towards Mihawk and began to use his 3 swords style only for it to be stopped by Mihawk quite easily, but unlike the Anime, Mihawk's arm had faltered just a bit, and seeing that surprised Mihawk as he then slashed towards Zoro making him gain some distance at a lightning fast speed.

[You are quite fast indeed… You are better than I thought you would be, so tell me… What is your name so that I may remember it]: mihawk

[Roronoa Zoro… I have trained since I was young so that I can beat you and claim the title of Strongest Swordsman… So fight me seriously]: zoro

[Roronoa Zoro… Fine, you want me to fight you seriously? Then I will fight you seriously]: mihawk

Mihawk then put his necklace knife back around his neck as he then drew the gigantic sword from his back with one hand and held it towards Zoro who looked at it with amazement as it's blade looked just like Soren's in color, and Soren told him that he would make him one when he gets strong enough, but Mihawk's sword was Black due to Mihawk's Armament Haki while Soren's sword is Black due to the type of metal.

[This is my sword known as Yoru… And I will use it to defeat you today and show you your place Roronoa Zoro]: mihawk

Zoro prepared himself, but the second Mihawk finished his sentence, he lunged towards Zoro and used his Yoru to attack Zoro who used all 3 swords to block Mihawk's blade, but his cheap Katanas were destroyed leaving only his Wado Ichimonji left, while a long wound appeared running from Zoro's left shoulder down to the right side of his waist.

[Zoro!]: luffy, nami, and usopp

[GUAHHHHHAAKKK!... You truly are the best *Cough Cough*]: zoro

Zoro then held himself up to Mihawk with his arms out to the side as he knew he had lost, and was ready to die. When Mihawk saw this he smiled and decided he didn't want to kill Zoro, but show him he needed to work harder to be his opponent in the future. Mihawk then used his sword to cut Zoro from his right shoulder down to the left side of his waist, and this strike sent Zoro flying towards the sea, but before he could plunge into the depths, Zoro disappeared shocking everyone present, even Mihawk as he didn't catch how fast that was.

[Now look at what you did Dracule… You hurt my best student]: soren

Everyone's attention was turned towards the Going Merry as they saw Soren standing there with Zoro over his shoulder, and then Soren laided Zoro down and disappeared once again and reappeared where Zoro stood facing Mihawk.

[A Teleporting Devil Fruit?]: mihawk

[No… That was just my pure speed]: soren

[Impossible… But if what you say is true, and you are the teacher of that man then I must fight you now?]: mihawk

[Hehe… Sure, we can spar]: soren

Soren then moved his Red coat aside showcasing Soren's Chitsuki in all it's glory, and when Mihawk saw it he was confused as he had never seen such a sword before and thought it was some crappy unnamed sword that focused on design more than capability. Soren then drew his Chitsuki and watched as Mihawk's face changed color as the blade was pure Black with no shine to it meaning that it was of a higher form of Armament Haki, and when Mihawk saw Soren get ready to face him, he got excited and pointed his Yoru towards Soren.

[I quite underestimated you before… But why haven't you taught your student about Armament Haki yet?]: mihawk

[Because he's too stupid and has yet to gain enough physical strength… Now let's fight]: soren

[Fair enough… Please tell me your name before we start though]: mihawk

[My name is Soren, but you can call me Ren]: soren

Mihawk smiled and charged towards Soren and slashed towards him only for Soren to block the attack with a board face as if he was completely disappointed in Mihawk's speed. Soren then countered the attack with a simple thrust form his sword, and since he had looked over the swordsmanship manuals since coming here, Soren knew all the basics, and with the help of his Saiyan gene that helps him adapt quickly, Soren's basics were of a legendary status. Soren's single thrust carried with it the power to destroy the world in a metaphor sense even though if Soren used Ki in his attack it could indeed destroy the world, but that was for later. Mihawk saw the attack, but was unable to dodge the attack and instead tried to block it with Yoru only for Yoru to be sent back while Mihawk was on the edge of the Baratie with a surprised look on his face.

[You are an amazing opponent, but we seem to have run out of space to fight… How about we reschedule for a later time in a much bigger space]: mihawk

'Running are we… That's fine, I'm not the one destined to beat you, Zoro is': soren

Soren then sheathed Chitsuki and the tension was now back to normal, but with a quick flash, all of Don Krieg's men were killed by Soren, and that left Don Krieg for Luffy to fight, Soren then watched as Mihawk got back on his coffin raft and went back to the Grand Line. Soon, everyone was surprised that Soren was able to make the strongest Swordsman retreat to the point he wanted to reschedule the fight at a later date on a bigger island, and when Don Krieg saw this as well as all the dead bodies of his crew member, he got angry and that's when Luffy went to attack Don Krieg and beat him senseless and freed himself from the work life in the process.

[Now… We should get going and head towards Loguetown… What do you say, Luffy?]: soren
