4 You can become stronger as well as kinder

"Just how many of them are here…" The red-head said with mild annoyance hidden under her tone, taking one paper after the other and giving it a read. "... Not having enough power was annoying enough, and then this stack of papers."

She understood what her brother might have felt like during work—it was an absolute headache-inducing thing to do.

Seeing that massive stack was enough for her to rethink her life choices, why did she end up in such a position? It was supposed to be an easy-going life or at least a vacation in the human world.

"The limit of Red King is approaching, it is not a surprise that you have so much paperwork to do." Replied the black-haired girl as she gently placed a cup of tea beside her King, quite nicely, letting those massive boobs of her hang freely as she bowed to do so.

"I know, that is why I'm not complaining to anyone, just expressing my annoyance to myself. I heard complaining helps lower stress."

"And where did you hear it?" Her Queen raised a brow and asked, already aware of the answer.

"From Mangas…" Even she felt like an idiot saying it out loud. "Anyway, are you sure that the seventh King has awakened? It would cause worldwide supernatural chaos if he really did. After all, despite being the weakest King, he is still someone who is given the title of King."

"The information is all over the place." Akeno shook her head with a sigh. "Higher-ups are trying to dig out the information, but you know how it is. A little mishap and they might end up angering other Kings. Despite their only being four known Kings, their powers are not to be laughed at, especially, the second King."

The redhead frowned, feeling the mild annoyance increasing.

"Daikaku Kokujōji, the Gold King, also known as the greatest and strongest human." Thinking about him was enough to make Rias take everything seriously. "It is said that he has the power to destroy the world, though the validation of this rumor is still within contemplation."

"It doesn't matter." The blackhead added. "Whether or not the rumor is true, we at least know that he can fight on par with Satan-Class beings without much effort on his part. Especially his ability to manipulate destinies…"

Rias sighed. Someone who can manipulate destinies was definitely not someone anyone would want to fight with, though there should be some limit to it, it still was enough to make one highly cautious of him.

She still remembers learning about the Kings during her classes in the underworld, and the war that Devils initiated with the Kings to get Dresden Slate. It still makes her gasp in disbelief as to how the Gold King was able to kill most of Devil's forces by just manipulating destinies.

"Let's not forget the first King… Nothing much is known about him except the fact that he is the one to create the power of Kings."

A silence sank into the room, as both of them thought about the mystery of the first King.

"Anyway, Noah didn't come today, I wonder why? Usually, he always comes here to spend his time." Red-head said, remembering how Noah should be in their club room at this time.

"Ara~, is Buchou missing him? Should I book a date with him for you?" All the pent-up tension in the air melted just like that, as Akeno placed her hand over her mouth, a slight smirk taking over her face.

"I didn't mean it like that, Akeno!" Rias hurriedly denied with a slight blush, wondering what goes into that mind of her Queen. "It was just a general question, that's all!"

"Is it so? Then Buchou doesn't mind if I go on a date with him, right?"

"Of course, why would I mind?" Rias said with her hands crossed under her breast, pushing them up slightly. "Anyway, I am going to wed to someone else…"

"Rias…" Akeno stared at her King worriedly. "I still think we should still ask for Noah's help. With his connections, we should be able to postpone it enough for us to become strong."

"I'm not pulling him into this mess Akeno…" Rias rejected the idea, a little smile forming over her face. "He is just a human… I don't want to get him hurt because of me. He has already done enough by training us."

Despite his low strength, Noah's knowledge regarding their powers even exceeds them. And the ideas he gave sometimes astonished them, making them wonder just where he got all those ideas from.

"A human who is the descendant of legendary King Arthur with connections with the Red King." Akeno reminded her King. "If there is someone who can help you to free yourself from this mess, then that is Noah. Unless you find a sudden power boost to our overall strength."

Rias became silent. Using Noah's connection with the Red King, it wouldn't be hard to pressure the phoenix family to postpone the marriage a little, but with the current status quo, Rias knew it was risky.

In the worst-case scenario, she might end up starting another war. After all, the Red King was known for his partiality for his people.

If he really took her under his protection, then if the phoenix clan did something to her, it wouldn't be far-fetched to see the Red King declaring war with the Phoenix Clan and might not calm down until it has been destroyed completely.

'But as the sister of the current Maou, I can't desert to a human King… It will affect Onii-sama's position too much.'

She hated politics, but that doesn't mean she didn't understand it. She knew if she allied herself with the Red King, then it would definitely affect the status of her brother.

'This situation is so fucked…' She couldn't help but curse internally. If some time is given, a year or two, she can train herself to be strong enough to cancel the marriage with a Rating Game.

But she knew that was naught but a dream as Riser would never agree upon such terms.

"Hm?" She raised a brow as she received a telepathic message from Sona, before turning to Akeno and saying. "There is a Stray in the town, Sona said she is going to deal so if you feel any magic fluctuations, there is no need to worry about it."

"There are a lot of strays coming out these days, I wonder why?" Akeno frowned slightly, as there had been quite some reports of stray increasing in the town. Was this a sign of something?

"With how devils treat their Peerage, I would be surprised to see no strays," Rias said with slight condemnation in her voice.

"That is why we all love you, Buchou~." Akeno smirked, making Rias cheeks turn red with embarrassment.

"Stop teasing and get to work. There is still so much paperwork left for us to solve."

Akeno's smirk widened seeing the blushing cheeks of Rias before she also went to sit on a couch, starting to scrutinize the papers.

The black-head loved teasing her King, so she was quite satisfied with the result.
