" Excuse me, are you...."

" Yes." I interrupted as I looked at a distressed man.

This man held a photo in his hand with disheveled hair. His eyes were desperate as he set the photo on the table.

" I–I know it's not your own service, but I need help in finding my daughter. She has been missing for weeks, pl–please!" He begged as I picked up the photo.

I wasn't in disguise anymore as I needed my reputation to be fit with my face.

Though people mistake me as 14 years old, which caused some doubts.

But after the incident at the nightclub, I'm sure I was able to solid my stay here in Mistral.

" Sigh...and payment?" I looked at the photo before looking at the man again.

" I–It's right here." The man replied nervously as he set an envelope in front of me.

I grabbed the envelope and weighed it in my hand.

' A little short... but.' I looked at the father sighing.

" Alright, I'll search for your daughter. What can you tell me about her?" I asked.

" Her name is Sarah..." he began to describe his daughter's look, which matched the photo.

" Alright then, I'll begin my search now." I replied as I stood up, but I stopped as the man held my wrist.

" Wait! Please make sure she comes back safe."

"... You have my word." I replied as I just walked away from the bakery.

" Have a nice day, Yuto." Said the old grandma whi owns the bakery.

" Yeah, yeah, I'll be back gran gran." I waved as I put my circular sunglasses on.

I stopped as I looked at Eri.

" You're not going?" I asked.

" Meow."

" Sigh, sure, I guess." I turned around as it seemed Eri had taken a liking to the old lady's food.

' Could've cooked for you too if you asked.' I thought as I walked on the sidewalk.

' It's raining...that's not a good sign.'

The first place I was going to investigate was the last place she was seen.

It was a café shop as I entered the store.

" Welcome." I was greeted by a waitress as I nodded in response.

I sat as I observed the workplace.

A few waitresses had nervouus expressions but hid it under a cheerful smile while they attended to the customers.

I sipped the cup of coffee I bought.

" Ugh... bitter." I muttered as I took a few sugar packs and dumped it into the coffee.

"Hmm, needs more."

Hours later....

" What an idiot." I blurted as I watched a spider member try to kidnap a woman.

I dropped down to the alley and kicked the thug down.

" Gah!"

I tilt my head towards the woman.

" Run." I spoke before walking towards the thug.

The woman ram off as I grabbed the man's neck tightly.

" Now, where were you going to take that woman?" I asked.

" Guuugghh!" He didn't talk as he tried to struggle out of my drip.

" Sigh. Allow me to repeat myself again."

Thwack!

" Gahh!!!"

I punched his spleen.

" Where..."

" You taking!!"

" That girl!!!" I shouted as I punched him one last time.

Blood and tears covered his face as he couldn't reply.

I sighed in frustration as I realized I went a little overboard.

Iris asked.

' Yes.'

" Okay... just shiw me the way." I spoke, confusing the man below me.

" Huh?"

" Truthmaker..." I gripped his forehead activating the jutsu/skill.

" Now take me there." I lifted his collar and pushed him.

He nodded, struggling to gain control over his body again.

A few minutes later, I spotted another spider emblem a wall.

" I think this emough." I spoke as I grabbed the back of the man's neck and unsheathed the hidden blade.

He dropped to the ground as I continued walking.

" A warehouse in the middle of this city... what dumbass put that here?" I asked myself as I kicked the gates open.

' That's a lot of people.' I thought so. I looked at the frozen spider members who were touring a woman on a chair.

I also noticed a cages of other women held captive.

'" Wha–what!?"

I tilt my head towards the person who looked to be guarding the gates.

I unsheathed Mahiru-no-yo and cut his stomach as he fell to the ground as his body started decomposition.

And before the others could move, I stabbed the sword to the ground.

' Mahiru...'

" Of course~ of course~" Mahiru spoke as she hugged my right arm, which held the sword.

Mahiru-no-yo started generating a deliberating pressure inside the warehouse.

None of them managed to stand against the pressure. The same was said about the girls as well as I walked up to the one in the chair.

" Hm... my oh my, this one is still conscious." Mahiru said as she walked around the girl in the chair with her hand behind her back.

Mahiru was right. The woman could barely keep her eyes open.

" Hm... they tried to brainwash her." I muttered as I grabbed the woman chin to observe her eyes closely.

" And they failed..." I turned my head towards the other ladies in the cage as I noticed their empty eyes.

" Sigh, it seems I was too late. I'm sorry." I apologized as I cut the woman's binding.

" U....gg.....gu...." The woman tried to speak as I leaned closer.

" G..go....sa..ve....sar..ah..."

' Sarah? I see, so this woman knows where she is.'

" Where?" I asked.

" Nor..th..."

I didn't question as I put the lady in her back.

I walked away from the warehouse before climbing on top of a building.

" Well, that was boring... I hoedown to see blood!" Mahiru complained as inlooked back at her then at the swordnin the sheath.

" You're not supposed to be out." I frowned as Mahiru looked at me with a trading smile.

" Aw~ are you scared that I'm able to get out of that stupd sheath?" She tilted her head cutely as I waved her off.

The sheath inwardly used had a talisman for sealing demons, and it seemed she broke it.

' She's getting stromger.' I concluded as I observed the surroundings area.

' North... But where? Do I have to search the north part of the city?' I thought to myself.

" Hey, don't ignore me!" Mahiru shouted as I felt Gamers mind protect me from her mental attacks.

" Shut up, I'm ignoring you." I replied.

" Wha!?" Mahiru was speechless.

" Well, I'm gonna ignore you ignoring me." She replied.

I shook my head as I started parkouring my way towards the north part of the city.

" Hey!" Mahiru shouted from behind but soon reappeared in front of me.

I ignored her again and passed her.

" Well, aren't you quite the cat." Mahiru giggled as she noticed the cat ears kn my head.

I kept a blank face as I jumped over a railing and ran on another rooftop.

I used the cat sages footwork as it works well with parkour.

It was silent, fast, and agile as I could easily dodge and move as well as react faster.

" Now you're just a cat." Mahiru spoke with a blank face as she watched me turn myself into a cat.

A few seconds later, I arrived at the north part of the city.

I was on a rooftop observing from above, I them heard another cat behind me by the sound of their light footsteps.

" I think you got the wrong building." An orange cat showed up along with his friends.

" That's right! Kikiki!" A black cat snickered.

" Just leave." A gret cat warned.

I sighed.

" Woah, a cat!!" Mahirui shouted in excitedly as she tried to pet the cats only for her hand to pass through them.

" Screeeeee!!!" The orange cat hissed as a shiver ran through his spine.

" Wha-what was thay!?" The orange cat shouted with his hunched back, looking around.

" What wrong boss?" The black cat asked as the grey cat looked at Mahirus figure.

" I think it's a ghost." The grey cat spoke as he walked backward.

" A ghost!!" The black cat tried to run away, but his feet kept slipping before he gained traction to run.

And the orange was already gone.

I looked at Mahiru.

" Meow."

' Good job.'
