Chapter 14 - Decision

March 10th, Friday

After making it back home, Alice and I went our separate ways. She went into her room clearly still worried about her gift and the mystery behind Bella's disappearances.

While I went straight to bed, after finally understanding where I was timeline wise in the Twilight Saga, I decided to sleep on the information before making a decision.

(A/N After some people complained about the french in this story I decided to stop writing in french. From now on when a character speaks french it will be written inside {" "}. )

{" Arthur, my love? Wake up."} My mother gently shook me awake.

Prying my eyes open, I glanced at the clock on my nightstand. It was currently 8 am. I had barely slept an hour or two.

{" What's going on? "} I asked.

My mother had an excited look, almost childlike in nature.

{" So how did it go? "} She asked, shaking in excitement while holding her morning cup of coffee.

{" How did what go? "} I asked.

{" You and Alice, come on don't keep me waiting? "} She asked, just as intensely.

Finally understanding what she meant, I just sighed in exasperation. {" *sigh* Mom, me and Alice are just friends. I don't see her like that. "} I exclaimed tiredly.

{" Just friends? "} She asked with a raised eyebrow.

{" Yeah, just friends. "} I replied a little irritated. I wanted to go back to sleep as fast as possible.

{" So you're not attracted to her? Not even a little? "} She asked.

{" Nope. "} I replied popping the p. {" Now will you please let me sleep? "} I begged.

She kept looking at me inquisitively for a couple of seconds, seeing if she could sniff out a lie. But finding none, she promptly left the room and left me to my peace and quiet.

Once she was out of the room, I immediately fell back into the embrace of my pillow.

The sky was dark, looking into the distance I could see a single spec of light.

Squinting my eyes to decipher it, I realized that there was a single person in that light.

"Morgan is that you?" I asked thinking it might be the ROB that had granted me all those wishes.

But as the figure got clearer and clearer, I noticed it had a little more curvature.

Just as I tried to get closer to the figure, it turned around and started running away.

As soon as the figure ran away, a cold and harsh wind assaulted me, followed by a suffocating feeling of loneliness.

I started having more and more trouble breathing and just as I was about to pass out.

I sprung out of bed, covered in cold sweat my clothes clung to me as if I had just ran a marathon.

Taking a couple of seconds to calm my breath, I walked to my en-suite bathroom and proceeded to shed my clothes off and hopped into the shower. Leaving the water completely cold as I rinsed all the heat and sweat.

March 13th, Monday

It had been three days, since I had that dream or should I call it a nightmare.

And since then, I didn't manage to have a single complete unbothered full night of sleep. I would have the same recurring nightmare over and over.

I of course kept it a secret from my family not to worry them. As for Alice, she already had a lot on her plate.

It seems the disappearances of Bella are growing more frequent and she was growing increasingly worried each time.

I mean even my parents started noticing.

As we were eating out in a pretty luxurious restaurant, my mother who had noticed Alice had been spacing out asked. "Alice, is everything alright?"

Alice shook her head, to get out of her vision induced trance and looked at my mother with the same happy go lucky expression she was known for. "Yes! Everything is great Clara." Alice exclaimed.

Except this time her smile wasn't as bright as it used to. Something my mother clearly noticed.

{" Arthur? You're not making her work too much, I hope? "} My mother asked in french believing that Alice didn't understand the language.

{" No, not at all "} I replied.

As my mother glanced worriedly at Alice. Who was already back in her future sight trances, I decided to intervene.

{" She might be missing her family. "} I suggested.

"Mhm." My mother simply hummed in acquiescence before dropping the subject.

March 14th, Tuesday

The next day, my mother barged into my room at exactly 6 am.

{" What's up? "} I asked.

{" Get dressed before you miss your flight. "} My mother remarked, as she started rummaging through my clothes.

{" What's going on? What flight? "} I asked, confused.

{" You're accompanying Alice to New York. "} My mother said without looking at me. Too engrossed into packing my belongings into a leather designer travel bag.

{" What? "} I asked even more confused than earlier.

{" The poor girl is missing her family, I can't watch her go on like this. "} My mother said, and for the first time this morning turned to look at me straight in the eyes.

As I looked into my mother pleading eyes, the choice was paratactically made for me. I couldn't say no to my mother.

So I resigned to my fate, I wasn't sure if I should get involved in the twilight series. But seeing as I was practically dragged into it, I decided to simply embrace it and be done with the whole drama as fast as humanly possible.
