26 Immortality Is Overrated

-3rd Pov-

Everyone except for Summer was stunned at the sight, they couldn't believe it, what she mentioned was true!

Is this really a shop from another universe? Before they were skeptical of the entire thing, but now they are willing to believe.

Then their attention was captured as they heard the man in front of them speak. "Welcome to the shop everyone, where everything can be bought at the right price."

Ozpin couldn't stop himself from being tense in front of this man, for some reason this mysterious person gives him a dangerous feeling.

Even more than Salem, it wasn't every day that Ozpin gets this feeling, as he rarely does after a thousand years of conflict with his ex-wife.

But being near this man makes him feel insignificant. Summer did say that this man is very mysterious but she's underestimating this man, as this mystery man is more than mysterious but also very dangerous.

His instinct was screaming not to mess with this person or else nothing could save him from this man's wrath.

Qrow was also feeling the same, being near with this man felt like he was a prey waiting to be devoured by this apex predator.

Glynda also gripped her riding crop a bit tighter than usual, like the others she also sensed danger with this man.

While Summer noticed that her group is very tense at the moment, she can't blame them for feeling this way, so she decided to break the ice. "Hello, Shop Owner, it's very nice to see you again."

Alex shifted his gaze toward her and smiled. "The feeling is mutual, Mrs. Rose but still I didn't expect you to go back right after you came back."

"W-well…it's because I wanted to show them proof that your shop existed since they're skeptical of its existence."

Summer answered with a nervous smile, a bit worried about how he would react, fortunately, the shop owner took no offense to that.

"That's understandable, it's normal for you to be skeptical about its existence after all, it's not every day you find out that there's another universe existing somewhere or a shop that sells everything, either way once more I welcome you Sir Ozma, Ms. Goodwitch and Mr. Branwen," Alex replied with a slight bow.

Hearing him mention their names made them more cautious with the man.

"You know us," Ozpin replied with a calm tone.

"Indeed I do, but that's not important no?" Alex answered as he turned around and went to the counter.

"Now, what's important is what are you going to do now? Are you going to leave and waste this opportunity? Or will you take this opportunity to end the thousand years of conflict between you and your ex-wife?" The shopkeeper smiled at Ozpin.

'Of course, he knows about that..' Ozpin whispered to himself, while his other companion stared at him in confusion.

While they did know about Salem, they didn't know that she was his ex-wife, he never told them about his complicated relationship status with her.

"Oz…what is he talking about?" Qrow narrowed his eyes at him in suspicion.

"Qrow, I'll answer that question later but for now…" Ozpin changed the subject and shifted his attention back to Alex. "Do you truly sell everything?"

"Indeed, but there's a price for everything, are you willing to pay for obtaining them?" The shop owner answered with a wide smile making Ozpin uncomfortable, that smile gives him a bad feeling.

"Yes, I do, so what do I do to obtain what I want?"

"I'm sure you heard this from Mrs. Rose, you have to convert something that you own into credits, whether it's a weapon, memories, soul, lifespan, abilities, or even that cursed immortality of yours," Alex announced with a smile on his face.

Ozpin sucked his breath as he heard that apparently, he could convert his immortality!

He never wanted this curse to begin with, all he wanted was to rest in peace, but he couldn't because of this cursed immortality that was bestowed on him by the brothers.

But now, he has the chance to remove it from him, if this mysterious man could really do that, without hesitation Ozpin said. "Remove it, remove my immortality!"

"What- are you serious Oz?!" Qrow asked in disbelief, and the others had similar reactions.

"Yes, I never wanted this immortality, this curse. So yes, remove it." Ozpin sounded even more determined, while his subordinates would probably never understand, his immortality was the cause of his immeasurable suffering and depression of being killed and betrayed over and over again.

He was both physically and mentally tired of reincarnating, he never wanted to take over the original host of this body like a parasite, however, he really never had a choice.

That's why if he truly could remove his immortality, then it's for the best because this would be his last reincarnation and he wasn't even sad about it, it's the opposite he's happy that he's finally free from this eternal suffering.

"Alright then, I shall convert your immortality to credits. You know there's a lot of people who would kill for that immortality of yours, you know?" Alex kept a smile on his face.

"I know but to me, that ability is nothing more than a great burden and a curse, the desire to rest eternally but can't because you're unable to? It's frustrating." Ozpin closed his eyes and let out a weary sigh, he was truly tired of this century conflict, so that's why if this shop truly sells everything then he would use the credits that he used to convert to buy an immortal killing power or item.

After that, a bronze fell right into his hands.

Bronze Card: Ozma Ozpin

Multiversal Credits: 10,000

Purchased History: None

Conversion History: Immortality (Type-R) or Reincarnation.

Card Access: Door to the Multiversal Shop (Once a week)

"Only 10,000?" Ozpin couldn't help but frown at the number of credits that he got from converting his immortality.

The shop owner let out a chuckle seeing his frown. "Trust me, 10,000 is plenty enough. Mrs. Rose could vouch for that."

Ozpin shifts his attention toward Summer who nodded. "It's true when I converted my Rose Thorn into M.C, I only received about 20, however, don't let that number deceive you, as there's billions of items you could buy with just 20."

Ozpin decided to take her words as so far, she hasn't lied to them.

"Alright, then where's the selection of abilities and items?"

Alex smirked at his straightforwardness and showed him the catalog where his eyes were glued from the moment he saw the items on sale, aside from its ridiculous prices.

These abilities and items' effects were ridiculous to the point the brother gods from his dimension would cry for their mommies if he were to use them against the brothers.

A chain that could reduce the brothers into mere mortals?

This was tempting, really tempting but there's no way he could afford it with his 10,000 M.C he needed at least ten times the amount of what he currently has.

While Ozpin started his shopping.

Alex's attention was now on his subordinates. "Would you like to convert something like your boss too?"

"Well, I'd like to pass-" Qrow tried to refuse but he failed when Alex said.

"You can convert your bad luck semblance, don't you want to live a normal life? Not to mention you get credits for converting it, it's like hitting two birds with a single stone, no?"

"I- you can convert my semblance?" Qrow gaped at that.

"Mr. Branwen, if I could convert immortality into credits, why couldn't convert a semblance that causes bad luck?" Alex raised his eyebrows at Qrow.

His answer made Qrow rethink his life decisions, of course, if he could convert something like immortality why not a semblance too?

Not for the first time, he felt like an idiot. Maybe he should stop drinking alcohol from now on, it causes him to lose more intelligence than he already had.

"So, what's it going to be Mr. Branwen?"

"Convert it," Qrow replied without hesitation, his semblance did nothing but bad luck and suffering ever since he unlocked it.

With that, Qrow felt like he lost a part of his soul but he didn't really care much as it's probably just his semblance being taken away.

He felt nothing different, but then again the changes in him weren't physical.

Then a bronze card fell right into his hand.

Bronze Card: Qrow Branwen

Multiversal Credits: 200

Purchased History: None

Conversion History: Semblance: Bad Luck

Card Access: Door to the Multiversal Shop (Once a week)

"200 huh…at least it's worth something." Qrow shrugged and didn't really care how much he received from converting his semblance, life was better without it anyway.

Qrow then checked the catalog to find something he was interested in and wondered if he could get something good.

"What about you Ms. Goodwitch? Are you going to let this opportunity pass?" Alex smiled kindly at the older woman.

Glynda closed her eyes for a bit before saying. "Very well, I'd like to convert a few skills of my own."

Alex nodded and started to convert the said skills and was speechless.
