Quick, bullshit my way out of dying!

"Ah, Yama, is that wise? Ryujin Jakka is strong, yes, but are you sure it's wise to make an enemy of me now? Here?" I try to mix some teasing into my tone. If I sounded desperate, he might notice my weakness.

All is silent for a moment, then he slowly lessens the tension in his hand. Thank God, I wouldn't have had time to do shit before getting reduced to ash. He seems to want to say something but keeps glaring at my eyes. Jushiro and Aizen are both just standing there, doing the same. What the hell's wrong with my eyes?

Oh, shit the flame. That's why, being a strong as they are, they 100% felt the flames true nature.

"Ah, the flame within me? Pay it no mind, it's just a curse to mine people." I think I got the mysterious tone down, at least I hope so. They eventually seem to calm down, though Aizen having his sword out scares me a bit.

"Kale, was it? Is this the Great Caravan? I see no wagons or others at all." It's actually Jushiro who speaks up first. I guess it makes sense. Yama was never one to talk much, and Aizen is probably thinking of how to checkmate me in two moves. But the Great Caravan? Why would they think that? Let's just bullshit, not like they know much more than me, I hope.

"Yes indeed, although it may not seem like a Caravan. But information is not free, so I ask again, why not purchase a little something?"

They all go silent, looking at each other, like having a silent conversation. Damn, I hate being the stupid one in the group. After a few minutes, it's Aizen who finally speaks.

"What do you sell?" That calm smile and kind tone, bitch I know you. Actually, I should learn a thing or two from him, dude spent hundreds of years acting. All good though, I prepared for this question.

"I sell solutions, Aizen. If you have a problem, I have something that can fix it." I tried to talk slightly slower to make it more mysterious, but man this shits rough. How does Robert Downy Jr make it look like cake.

"What about me? Im...sick. Can you cure me?" Jushiro speaks up, clearly hopeful. The look in his eyes, it's kind of desperate. Although, if I had the right hand of the soul king stuffed in my soul, I'd be pretty damn desperate too. I should probably flex my knowledge a bit, it will either help me or get me killed immediately.

"Are you referring to your tuberculosis or the right hand? I have solutions to both, one being, well, most likely out of your budget." Well, here's hoping I don't die.

Jushiro's eyes widen, and he looks absolutely flabbergasted. Aizen looks at me strangely, and Yamamoto's eyes just squint a bit. Aizen's face doesn't tell me much, nor does Yamamoto's. Do they not know or am I just bad at reading people?

"How...how do you know about that!? Who are you?" His outburst seems to surprise old man Yama, does he really not know about the hand? To be fair, Jushiro is like the calmest and collected captain, him having an outburst is surprising, I guess.

"As I said, I am Kale. Any further information is going to cost you, my friend. So, what would you like?" Very quickly, Aizen speaks back up. God, what crazy plan does he want my help with?

"Can you improve my strength? I'm afraid I'm weaker among the captains, so I'd like a boost." He managed to say calmly and with that fake ass smile on his face. Although maybe it's not fake? I can see Aizen getting a kick out of the situation.

"I have many ways of making the weakest captain stringer, both directly and indirectly. Which would you prefer?" I made sure to stress the word weakest, considering he's still with them this should be sometime before the soul society arc. he's probably only weaker than Yama and maybe Unohana and Shunsui.

"Directly? How so? Oh, I'm willing to pay of course." He pulls out some coins, Ryo i think is the name. He didn't react at all to what i said, dudes a pro. Jushiro and Yama are silently watching, probably to see how this goes. Jushiro looks like he has a LOT to say though.

"I have no need of such mortal currency. I deal in runes." Damn, that was bad. too far with the whole mortal currency thing. Aizen looks momentarily shocked, can't tell if he's really shocked though. Jushiro just keeps glaring at me and Yamas face doesn't change. I guess 2000 years of experience will do that.

"Runes are fragments of a felled soul. When a creature dies, they leave behind some of their soul's power, though there are VERY few ways to contain and quantify them, I have something for it. On the house." I speak up first, then reach for my bag. They all tense up at that, but they don't attack as I pull out three empty golden runes."

"These are empty Golden Runes. When you fell an enemy, this will passively absorb the runes and will slowly evolve into a hero's rune once enough have been absorbed. once filled up and evolved into a hero's rune it will no longer be able to absorb more. Oh, and the stringer the foe, the more runes dropped." I toss each of them a golden rune. The examine it closely, especially Aizen. I KNOW that excited expression is real.

I then go on to explain the tiers of golden runes, from a golden rune 1 to a hero's rune, and how it can hold 50k max. They all look relatively skeptical but aren't speaking on it. it's not like it's hard to check, there's plenty of hollows to test it on.

"What if we want to buy something more than 50k runes?" Old man Yama finally says something, Dude has been stressing me out for a while. I wonder if he could beat a prime Radahn? That would be such a dope fight.

"You can purchase an empty golden rune for 1000 runes. However, if you'd like to earn some runes another way, I'll tell you. The more runes you have, the more you can spend here. You may also sell me items; I promise a fair deal. You can also challenge champions that reside here. Along with the runes they drop, I will also give a rune reward depending on who you slay. Demigods in particular, have high bounties." They look interested, Aizen even glances at his captain haori. I mean I'll take that shit.

"Demigods? As in children of gods? Do gods truly exist?" Aizen speaks so fast I almost didn't catch it. It makes sense though; his goal Is to become a god. I'd be more worried if he didn't ask. Information isn't free though. I just shake my head at him, and he seems to get it. He even had the nerve to put on a sheepish expression! I need to be careful not to be scammed by him.

"I'll sell this please." Aizen passes me his haori, emboldened with the number five. Yama looks at him, slightly squinted eyes. Well, good luck with that Aizen. The captain cloak feels really silky and cool, clean too. Hmm. I did promise a fair price, and Considering who Aizen is, I guess it's worth a bit.

I reach into my bag and grab a Golden Rune 13. A nice 10k and toss it to him. He looks mildly excited, can't tell though. Fucking Aizen, I can't trust a damn thing about you! He study's it closely before he pockets it. Wait, when did this guy get another haori? Damn, I've already been scammed! Of course, they would have backups, their clothes get wrecked all the time. He already knows how much it is, I explained them all in detail earlier.

"I'll take five Golden Runes please." Yeah, makes sense. He and Mayuri are probably going to study the shit out of them. I'm not too worried they'll replicate them, still going to spend them here. I grab his empty Golden Runes and a Golden Rune 10 and pass them back to him. He gives four to Yamamoto and stares at him for a bit, before stepping back. Wtf, did they have a whole ass conversation with their eyes? Whatever, anime logic and other BS. Speaking of eyes, none of them have looked me in the eye this whole time. Eh, frenzied flame is pretty scary, makes sense.

Yama stands proudly in front and looks down at me. Bros only 5'6, but I guess being strong as shit makes it natural for him. Speaking of which, I have no clue what I look like under the robes. I feel the same, but that might be some reincarnation bullshit. Need to test at some point.

"I'll fight a champion, a Demigod." He drops that and just decides to silently watch me. Really bro? No questions, no hesitation, nothing? Aren't you supposed to be super old and wise? You got teleported to somewhere, exposed to something you've never even imagined, and just decided that you want to fight a literal demigod? Confidence is one thing but dude, the demigods are a big deal, in lore at least.

"Are you certain? Most demigods are on your level, some even being beyond your level entirely. Are you sure Yamamoto, with the soul society still needing your strength?" I mean slightly exaggerated, but I don't want him to actually die! I really like old man Yama, dudes an OG.

"I am Yamamoto Genryusai!"

...

Thats it! You know what, fuck it we ball. Yamas strong, and with Aizen and Jushiro behind him im sure he'll be fine.

"Will those two be helping you?" I gotta make sure, even Yama can't solo a Prime Radahn alone without being massively injured. He doesn't even look back as Aizen and Jushiro step forward. Well, Jushiro actually loves Yama like a grandpa and Aizen needs his cover still. Alright Bet! Time to test the limits of what I can do with the mist.

"Very well. I acknowledge your courage, so you will face the one who is commonly recognized as the strongest of the demigods. The Red Lion, the one who holds the title of Starscourge. The Giant General, Radahn." My tone is very solemn, to properly introduce the absolute CHAD they are about to fight. They don't say a word, but their demeanor is one of confidence.

"Radahn is the man who single handedly halted the stars movement. No, he is far superior to a mere man. At heart, he is a warrior of the upmost honor and integrity. All I ask, is that you show him that same respect." Ah, man I miss Radahn. How many times did he kick my ass? How many times did I marvel at that fight until I won. Then I marveled even more. I guess I couldn't keep some emotion from my tone, cause Jushiro speaks up.

"If you respect him so much, why have us fight and kill him?" Jushiro, you say that like killing Radahn isn't going to be even harder than Yhwach. Okay maybe not that bad but still, dont disrespect Chadahn like that!

"Are you a fool? He is a champion! He wishes for a worthy foe almost as much as he cares for his horse. A battle where he can die honorably would make him smile widely." Jushiro is taken aback for a moment, before nodding. Even old man Yama looks slightly impressed. But that's enough, time to call on the mist.

"Good Luck."

The mist surges and in a moment, they are in a wide dune of red sand, standing before a giant, arms crossed. Flanked by two massive swords that just radiated power. They stare down at each other, before Radahn brings his swords to hands, and charges.

let the battle begin!
