Mastering the Rokushiki

After I had completed the second mission the higher-ups were ready to allow me to join the CP9 organization immediately. I mean I had killed an entire pirate crew all on my own.

But I told them I wasn't ready because I knew that this mission would end the moment I was formally recruited into the CP9 organization.

While the mission said that it would take around 5 years I guess my impressive results so fast-tracked me.

I guess 5 years is how long it would take the future members of the CP9 to graduate training and considering I was miles ahead of them, the Cipher Pol member would want me in action.

So I dallied around and said that while I was willing to take some missions for them I felt that I wasn't trained enough.

I said that I wished to learn the Rokugan and Seimei Kikan to truly master the Rokushiki as they were the pinnacle of it.

Rokugan represented the perfection of your ability to manipulate wind. By putting your fist close to your target you can release a blast of air that can pass all defenses.

I was incredibly strong, bypassing all defense-like armor to attack your weak internal organs, dealing massive damage.

The only downside to it was while it was powerful it took time to set up and spent a lot of stamina but those were issues I believed I could mitigate through training.

The Seimei Kikan represented the mastery of your body, a much more advanced version of what you do with Tekkai and Kami-e.

Those only manipulate your muscles but Seimei Kikan went beyond that manipulating every part of your body including your organs and hair.

It allowed you to do crazy things like changing your body to optimize for speed or strength, digesting food instantly, or grabbing people with your hair.

So I went on to train on my own in the middle of the island. From now on these were skills that I had to master on my own there was going to be no one to teach me.

So the first thing that I did is master the Rokushiki, while I had learned how to do it I hadn't truly mastered it yet.

My first course of action was training to make sure that I could use Soru and Bo-bup while I was Geppoing in the air, called a Kamisori.

Right now I couldn't and that made me incredibly slow in the air. So after 2 months of constant effort, I could get it down semi-competently.

It was hard, remember all the problems that I told you about when I tried to Soru, the difficulty in controlling where you would and when you launched?

Imagine that but a hundred times worse. I was doing this on the air and it is really not stable, I had to constantly feel the air and make sure that each of my steps hit the air in the exact right place.

If not I would just be kicking the air and pushing myself off balance launching myself in a direction I didn't want. But I got it to control finally after weeks of rocketing face-first into the ground.

Next, I wanted to be able to move with I was a Tekkai state. This was called Tekkai Kenpo and used by Jabra in the future.

It was actually a mix of Tekkai and Kami-e, with me having to move from relaxing my muscles constantly tensing them to retain the toughness of steel and the flexibility of the paper.

At first, this was incredibly hard as when you are moving you had to let some muscles stop performing Tekkai but ideally you still wanted some tension to keep up your defense.

It was a careful balancing act, if you wanted to move faster you would relax more muscles but reduce your defense while moving.

So I had to learn to control each individual muscle to make sure that I was tensing some and moving others or switching between those two states rapidly.

I got so many cramps from going from full Tekkai to full Kami-e but my body eventually adapted and I mastered Tekkai Kenpo after 2 months.

Lastly what I wanted to do that had not actually been seen in the manga but I believed was possible, performing Rankyaku with your arms, I mean Lucci did it with his tail.

There should be no reason that it isn't possible, I mean the arms may be physically weaker than the legs but my arms should still be strong enough to generate the winds necessary.

So that is what I did, and for the first 2 weeks I was bashing my head against the wall until I realized something, I should use the principle of Shigan to manipulate my arm muscles into the shape of a blade.

This would make it much easier for me to be able to make a Rankyaku. So for the next month that was all I was doing focusing on my Shigan trying to apply it not only on my finger but on my arms.

I worked and now I would mold my muscle not only in my arms but also on my legs to become the shapes of blades or spears.

I could now do the legendary hand chop that would allow me to cut a boulder clean in half. And with that sharpness after 2 weeks I managed to do an arm-powered Rankyaku.

Now that believe I have mastered most of what the six forms would offer me I started to try and learn the Rokugan.

And damn was it hard. First I trained my manipulation of air. I know that users of Rankyaku can shape the form of their kicks, like Jabra's Lupus Fall, similar to my Blue Dragon's Kick.

So for the first month that is all I trained being able to control the air so precisely to turn into whatever shape I wanted. If I wanted a bull, the air blast better look like a bull.

And after 1 and half months of training I got it down, a good side effect is now I can use the Blue Dragon's Kick and all its variations incredibly quickly now no need to charge up.

Now I moved back to the Rokugan and I was now capable of making a massive blast of wind with just my fist but it was uncontrolled and way too weak.

I needed to be directed and focused, capable of moving through defenses and damaging internal organs. After 3 weeks of trial and error, I realize that an important part of it was vibrating the air.

I need to vibrate the air so that it made a shockwave, making it a lot more dangerous than my initial flailing about. After 2 more weeks, I learned the importance of the position of my arms.

Lucci didn't place his arm like that in the manga just to look cool, it was incredibly important to guide the wind in a certain direction.

I had been kind of lax in my arm placement not putting them exactly parallel to each other but after I had figured that out it only took me 1 more week till I managed to do the Rokugan.

Now that I had mastered the Rokugan, I moved on to the Seimei Kikan, this one was a head-scratcher. I had no idea how I was supposed to even start with this.

How the fuck am I supposed to be able to move my hair when they have no muscles or digest food instantly, that is just not how anything is supposed to work.

So I first focused on controlling my organ. I had a lot of experience now controlling my muscles but not my organs. So the first thing I did was try to control my heartbeat.

I had done this back in the jungle but that was by controlling my emotion, not by controlling the muscles in my heart. So this would be a step up.

After a week of meditation, I managed to control my heartbeat. I could be running at full speed but keep my heart at its resting rate, it wasn't healthy using it this way but I could.

Next, I moved on to my other organs, learning to control my lungs and diaphragm in a week, my kidney after another week, and my liver and stomach after 2 weeks.

Now I could digest food incredibly quickly. After 2 more weeks, I managed to control all the organs in my body including my brain, I could now release hormones whenever I wanted.

Now that I had all my organs under control I moved on to trying to control my physical build. Rabidly bulking myself up and slimming myself down.

The first method I tried was telling my body a bunch of calories to slim down quickly and then eating a bunch of food to bulk up like crazy.

I repeated this method until I got a feel for it. I could now control my weight fairly easily, now I tried to control my muscle mass and muscle types.

By eating a bunch and forcing my body to make rapid changes in muscle mass I managed to gain a lot of strength at the cost of my agility.

It also changed my proportion of slow-twitch and fast-twitch muscles. My slow-twitch muscling are the ones with a lot of endurance but not much speed and strength and the fast-twitch ones are the complete opposite.

Finally, after 1 and half months, I now control my musculature and body structure whenever I wish without having to constantly gorge myself.

I still haven't learned to control my hair but considering how short it was it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Still, I was happy.

I had managed to master the Rokushiki to its fullest after only 2 years of instruction, it is crazy how much I have improved. I pulled up my status screen curious about what it showed.

Damn, I had improved a lot but I guess I hadn't checked in 2 years. My Rokushiki skill was pretty close to 100, but not there yet so I guess I had a little more to learn.

But now I was worried, the Cipher Pol organization was really starting to put pressure on me to formally join the CP9 organization.

I should be able to hold them back for 1 more year if I do a bunch of missions but now I was one a time limit to learn Haki.

I didn't want to leave this world without either Observation or Armament Haki. They would force multiplier and would eventually allow me to stand face to face with the strongest.

So I better do my best to please these old farts or the chances of receiving one of the strongest powers in media would slip through my fingers.
