30 Getting My Rewards

[Congratulations, you have managed to complete the mission, Join the CP9, 1 and half years early. That means you will not only get the promised rewards but a bonus on top of it.]

[Due to the impressive performance you have shown over the course of the mission and how much you have developed we have decided to reward you with an extra 5000 MC.]

Damn! You got an extra reward if you finished early! I should've guessed that but I wasn't really thinking about it at the moment.

Was the extra time I spent in the One Piece world worth it. Now I would have to add this into my calculation on when to leave the world.

I had been working under the assumption that I should stay in the world as long as possible but now I would have to rethink my entire strategy.

I calmed down and said," First can you show me how many MCs I have now and show me how to access the store?"

[Of course! You have 14,000 MC with 1,000 being deducted from your purchase of the inventory system early.]

[To access the store merely walked down the hallway and think about wanting to enter the store I will appear when you wish to.]

I did as it instructed and walked down the hallway that my waiting room consisted of and eventually, I found a door that looked different from the rest, labeled store.

I walked in and found a veritable treasure trove of goods. There were shelves from floor to ceiling filled with books going as far as the eye could see.

There was an armory that contained an innumerable number of weapons and multiple stalls to the side that contained an impossible number of goods.

I was speechless at the sheer variety of goods and I asked, "System is there a way to sort this place or I think I might be stuck in this place forever looking for what I want."

[There is. If you notice there is a massive pedestal in the middle. If you put your hand on it you can think about what you want and then it will appear in front of you.]

I noticed it and walked towards it immediately. The first thought that I had was could I get a devil fruit I asked it to show me and it did show me.

[Chop-Chop Fruit: 10,000 MC

Dice-Dice Fruit: 15,000 MC

Bird-Bird Fruit, Model Ostrich: 8,000 MC

Wind-Wind Fruit: 25,000 MC

....]

The list continued for seemingly forever but I noticed that the fruits here were fucking expensive. I only had 14,000 MC so I couldn't afford most of the good ones.

I looked at the Wind-Wind fruit, which fit so well with my fight style but alas it was not to be. So I moved on, maybe I will get a devil fruit next time but now I had more important things I wanted.

I searched for anything related to Haki and there I found a treasure trove.

[Observation Haki Seed: 5,000 MC

Armament Haki Seed: 5,000 MC

Conquerer's Haki Seed: 7,500 MC

Marine's Observation Haki Training Manual: 3,000 → 1,500 (50% Discount)

Marine's Armament Haki Training Manual: 3,000 → 1,500 (50% Discount)

Marine's Conquerer's Haki Training Manual: 4,000 → 2,000 (50% Discount)

Theory of Haki and Why it Works by Im: 1,000 MC

...]

Damn as soon as I noticed the seeds I got excited and asked the system, "Do the seeds awaken your ability to use that type of Haki?"

[Yes, the seeds allow the user to awaken that particular form of Haki to its lowest level.]

Knowing that I immediately bought the seed, I did not trust myself to awaken it on my own so now I was down to 6,500 blowing more than half of my budget on it.

The seed materialized in my hand I and I immediately ate it. Its power coursed through my veins and I felt a loosening of something in my spirit before the room started to shake.

After a while, I reined in my newly acquired Conquerer's Haki. I had gotten all of the types of Haki now and I felt pretty good about myself.

I was also happy as seeing the prices on display for the Observation and Armament Haki Seeds, staying longer in the One Piece was definitely worth it despite missing some MC.

I then looked at the manuals. I had kinda forgotten that I got 50% off any skills taught by the Marines or the Cipher Pol organizations.

I asked the system, "What exactly do these manuals contain? Is this a step-by-step guide to how to master Haki?"

[This manual contains all the information that the entire Marine force in the world of One Piece has managed to gather in terms of how to improve Haki.]

[They also talk details about how to counter people using Haki and the techniques that the outside world does not often see.]

[Another benefit of this book is that it can allow others on Earth to learn to awaken Haki much faster. The physics of Earth is not conducive to making awakening Haki easy.]

[If you want to accelerate the time it takes people back on Earth from taking decades to learn to use Haki to a couple of years then these are the manuals for you.]

I scratched my chin and thought about it. I was probably not going back to the One Piece world for a while and I did need some way to learn how to use Haki.

Watching that anime is fine and all to get down the basics but it didn't really go over the nuances of how to do a specific technique.

And from my experience learning the Rokushiki, the anime made it look much easier to learn than it actually was, I did not give all the small details needed to learn these skills on my own.

I was afraid that if I didn't take these manuals then I would hit a wall in training my Haki and then just not be able to overcome it.

It also had the benefit of being able to train up a group of people to eventually learn to use Haki. I did plan to make my own organization back on Earth.

But the system said that it would years of training even with the manuals to awaken Haki. But we did have the system and we were going to be regularly sent on missions.

That could make it so that when they are in another world for years they can practice what I had taught them and learn Haki much faster than I would think.

So I decided, I would buy all 3 manuals leaving me with 1,500 MC. That was not much left I didn't really know what to do with this.

Then a thought appeared in my mind, one that due to my past life knowledge I was probably the only one that could do this.

I knew that devil fruits existed in my world and that they reincarnated into the closest fruit of a certain type they could find.

But a lot of the fruits in the world of One Piece just don't exist in the real world so if some enterprising lad bought all the fruits in One Piece he could guarantee that if a devil fruit user died their fruit would be reincarnated to a fruit that he owns.

This thought consumed my mind, I mean I doubt that the other people on Earth even know the specifics of Devil Fruit reincarnation it is not even common knowledge in One Piece.

So I could have a monopoly, when a devil fruit user died its spirit could only reincarnate into the fruits I would be buying.

This would probably only last a few mission cycles before someone else got this bright idea but damn by then, I might have hundreds of devil fruits.

I immediately bought all the fruits in the world of One Piece for 500 MC and the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia for another 500 MC.

I had 500 MC left and I decided to buy 5 more inventory slots with 500 MC. More inventory never hurt anybody and I would be able to keep the bag of fruits with me at all times.

So now that I spent all my money I said, "System I would like to go back to Earth."

A bright flash appeared and I was back in my room that I hadn't seen for years.
