Silence suddenly took over the interrogation room.

For a good while, nobody spoke a word.

Yu Ning was too agitated earlier for he had said so much in one go. He probably realized that he was a little too rash. He gulped and looked at Bai Muchuan with his bloodshot eyes and asked for a cigarette.

"Is that okay?"

Bai Muchuan nodded at Tu Liang.

Emotions need to get digested.

Cigarettes might be able to do that for him!

Tu Liang gave Yu Ning a cigarette. He also helped to light it up.

Yu Ning took a puff unhurriedly. He felt his lungs became warm, but his expression felt sorry and dispirited.

Slowly, he hung his head low.

Bai Muchuan pondered for a moment, continuing the unfinished topic.

"Who's the one who injured you?"

Yu Ning still kept his head low and smoked in silence.
