1 Devastating Betrayal

Beijing, China.

The night sky is twinkling with bright city lights. The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. The occasional barking of faraway dogs broke the silence of night.

In Lin Manor, a birthday banquet was going on. It was splendid and glamorous, after all it was the birthday of the First Young Miss of Li Family, Lin Zhixiao! Lin Zhixiao is an influential figure in the world who is known for her beauty and her genius brain. She is also known far and wide of her keen intuition in the business world, every choice she has made until now has brought the Lin family to a whole new level! Not only that, she is also a renowned fashion designer who has created a legend in the fashion industry.She was the perfect daughter of Lin family that countless people fawned over!

Today was her 26th birthday, countless people were coming, wearing custom made brands clothes. Not a single person was poor, all of them were big shots from influential families. They all wanted to have a good relationship with the Li family, Lin Zhixiao.

As the banquet started, the main star of today finally arrived!

Her snow-white like skin sparkles in the darkness of night. Her phoenix-like eyes were slightly narrowed as she glanced at the thousands of people. Her rosy pink cheeks were a little bit chubby which made her look like a cute porcelain doll and her red lips which released a seductive air were curled up in a dangerous arc.

As she walked in, her red fiery dress fluttered in air, her footsteps were sharp and dignified, making her look more overbearing and intimidating! Not a single person was able to meet her dark gaze! She was the one in command!

She started the banquet by giving a speech, which she prepared in the morning. Her voice was neither fast nor too slow. It was pleasant to hear.

After giving her speech, she went down the stage and started to chat with some people casually. During the conversation, she started coughing which caused the people around her to look worriedly at her.

"I am okay, you guys carry on." Lin Zhixiao coughs out some casual words and leaves from there. She went to the near balcony. As she took some fresh air, she felt better. But she again started coughing violently.

As she was coughing, A fair hand approached her from behind and supported her from collapsing. She flinched from the sudden contact but when she turned around and saw who the person was, she immediately calmed down.

Lin Ruoyun looked at her worriedly but there was a treacherous radiance flash which went unnoticed by Lin Zhixiao.

"Are you okay, xiao? Lin Ruoyun looked at Lin Zhixiao with an intoxicating gentleness.

Lin Zhixiao's gentle eyes carried a hint of happiness as she saw how her step-sister cares about her. "I am okay, yun'er"

"But xiao you don't look good, why don't you go home, I will take care of everything here, you go home and rest, okay?" Lin Ruoyun looked worriedly at Lin Zhixiao.

"Okay, I am going." Lin Zhixiao smiled.

Lin Ruoyun supported Lin Zhixiao and helped her to go downstairs. As Lin Zhixiao went downstairs, countless people looked at her worriedly because Lin Zhixiao's whole demeanor was pale but she still tried to smile gently which made people worried about her more.

"My dear guests, I am not feeling well so I will be heading out first but you guys continue, okay." Lin Zhixiao glanced softly at the crowd and headed outside.

As Lin Zhixiao went outside, she saw an white color volkswagen Lavida outside already waiting for her. She was surprised and turned to look at Lin Ruoyun. "yun'er you already told the driver?"

"Yep" Li Ruoyun nodded her head in a docile manner.

Lin Zhixiao's eyes once again turned softer as she looked at her step-sister. She felt lucky to have such a caring sister. Maybe she has done some good deeds in her last life to get a kind and gentle sister in this life.

Lin Zhixiao bids goodbye to Lin Ruoyun and sat inside the car. As the car took off, Lin Zhixiao began to doze off. She didn't had a proper rest from two days because of overworking. Finally, she got some peace.

After 1 hour, the car stopped in front of an old abandoned house. Just by looking at it, you will get creeps all over your body!

The driver got out of the car and went inside the abandoned house. After some minute, A young girl walk out from the house. She was looking delicate and cute. Her big round eyes were sparkling in the night. Her chubby cheeks were smooth as butter. When her rosy pink lips form a pout, it makes her look more cuter. She is none other than, Lin Ruoyun!

Lin Ruoyun walked toward the car and opened the back door, where Lin Zhixiao was sleeping. She quietly took out an injection of anesthesia, and nimbly stabbed on Lin Zhixiao's neck!

Lin Zhixiao's eyes shot open at the sudden pain but before she could do anything, she was unconscious.

In the abandoned house.

Lin Zhixiao was tied up against the wall. Refraining her from doing any movements. She was looking like a beautiful sleeping beast as the moonlight shone on her porcelain skin.

Lin Zhixiao furrowed her brows in her sleep and opened her pitch-black and bright eyes, as she tried to adjust with moonlight shining upon her.

As she adjusted her dark eyes, she noticed an unfamiliar place which was filthy and creepy which gave her goosebumps. As she tried to move her legs and hands, she noticed that she was tied up and her mouth was taped!

Lin Zhixiao eyes went wide, as she remembered how someone stabbed her on her neck and the face of that unknown person was also kind of familiar. As she was thinking this, the door opened.

Lin Ruoyun walked in along with one unknown figure.

Lin Zhixiao looked up as she heard the noise of opening up the door. She saw Lin Ruoyun walking toward her as a gentle smile hung on her lips. She was surprised. What is Lin Ruoyun is doing here? and who is the person behind her? As Lin Zhixiao was thinking this, she didn't notice disgust and ridiculousness flash in Lin Ruoyun's big eyes.

"mmmpphhh" Lin Zhixiao tried to talk to Lin Ruoyun but as she heard a faint voice, she stopped struggling and looked up.

"Lin Zhixiao, thanks for your services." The unknown person behind Lin Ruoyun walked infront of her and her smile seemed extremely ominous under the moonlight.

Lin Zhixiao eyes went wide, as she look at the unfamiliar person yet familiar person. This person's face was the same as hers! She couldn't believe her eyes. She had too many questions going on in her head but when she heard the unknown person said next, her heart went cold.

"Lin Zhixiao, I am the real daughter of the Lin family, Lin Wei which you replaced as." Lin Zhixiao couldn't believe what she just heard. The real daughter of the Lin family is still alive! but how come? Didn't she die when she was 18 years old in a car accident. Then, what is going on? As Lin Zhixiao was trying to solve the puzzle, a faint voice was heard again.

"Awww, my dear sister you don't need to rack your brain, it is simple as water, the real daughter of Lin family didn't die back then but was in a coma! To save the company's falling stock, we replaced you as Li Wei. And honestly you played a good role." Lin Ruoyun smiled gently but her eyes were filed ridiculousness which betrayed her good sister act.

Lin Zhixiao's felt a pang in her heart as she heard this. She couldn't believe that the sister who was so caring and kind to her was just an act. Her existence meant nothing to her. She couldn't believe it, she just simply can't accept it. But deep down, she knew it was true, but she was simply not ready to accept the fact that the sister who she cared for betrayed her.

Lin Zhixiao felt devasted. As the tears began to pour out from her phoenix-like eyes.

"Oh, and don't worry about the things you achieved, I will take care of it, so don't worry about it."

Lin Zhixiao couldn't care less about things she achieved, because she can achieve it again but still that was her thing, how dare she snatched it from her!

"Oh! I suddenly remembered something important which I forgot to tell you." Lin Wei curled her lips.

"I am pregnant and the father of my baby is Gu Yancheng." Lin Wei looked mockingly at Lin Zhixiao.

Once again, Lin Zhixiao's eyes went wide with disbelief. What did she just hear? Gu Yancheng betrayed her! The person whom she loved for 6 years has betrayed her.How can? Wasn't she good enough? Why did he do that? She loved him so much yet he betrayed her. Lin Zhixiao's heart was bleeding. First, her sister whom she cared about more than her life betrayed her.Then, the person whom she whole heartily loved for 6 years has betrayed her. And these people were still not satisfied by her poor state so they kept on using her the whole time for their benefits. Lin Zhixiao couldn't believe it and more tears poured out from her pitch-black and bright eyes.

"Oh, and one more thing, Bichen Ying, Lan Zhan,Wei Wuxian, and Li Jiu already got to know of all these things and they tried to tell you too but you didn't believe them and throw them away, and afterward I killed them after sending some god-level assassination." Lin Wei looked boringly at Lin Zhixiao but her lips turned into an evil smile as she look at Lin Zhixiao's pathetic face.

Lin Zhixiao's heart shatters into pieces as she heard this. They were her lifelong companions, like an actual sibling and they died. They died because of her. At that time, when they were trying to persuade her she didn't believe them and broke the relationship with them in anger but she regretted it in the end. More and more tears began to roll down from her bright eyes as she think how stupid she was. The people she cared about betrayed her and the people who she threw away were the ones who cared about her.

More and more tears started to fall out from her phoenix-like eyes in pain and regrets.

Lin Wei and Lin Ruoyun just sneered, as they saw the pathetic situation of Lin Zhixiao.

"Don't worry, I will send you to see them soon." Lin Wei eyes turned cold as she stared at Lin Zhixiao.

Lin Wei signed the Lin Ruoyun to pass the dragger, which Lin Ruoyun did. As she holds the dragger tightly in her hand, she ruthlessly stabbed Lin Zhixiao's heart!

"mmmmhhhhppppp!" Lin Zhixiao yelped in pain.

"My dear sister, what are your last words?" Lin Ruoyun went near Lin Zhixiao and removed the tape from her mouth as she laughed lightly.

As the taped remved from Lin Zhixiao's mouth, she immediately spat mouthful of fresh blood. Fresh blood was spurting out of her mouth continuously. She looked with hatred and unwillingness at Lin Ruoyun and Lin Wei.

She started laughing all of a sudden. " I, Lin Zhixiao, hereby swear that one day I will let you two who have hurt me pay, the bloody price!"

Lin Zhixiao's voice was like a curse echoing around Lin Ruoyun and Lin Wei's ear. A sudden panic rosed up in them. They both dared not look into those eyes filled with deep hatred.

As she spat out mouthful of blood, she scanned the faces of these two before, as if wanting to searing their looks into her brain..

"You will not live anymore, why the use of your tongue?" Lin Wei mocking looked at Lin Zhixiao.

"Hahahhaahha, sister finally the problem is gone, congratulations sister wei" Lin Ruoyun sweetly laughed.

As she looks at these two people, she swore, she will get her revenge if she comes back!
