Why?

His right hand snaked around her waist while his left hand held her chin.

"Marry me?" he asked her looking into her hazel eyes which are still red from her drunk state and earlier tears.

"If I marry you, will you treat me and my sister good?" she asked him as tears welled again in her eyes from his earlier words which made Shen Yi's heart broke into million pieces.

"I will make you happy to the point that you won't regret marrying me even once" Shen Yi answered with sincerity in his eyes.

"Yes, I will marry you" She replied with a bright smile which made her eyes turn into crescent shape and Shen Yi to smile.

Shen Yi was so happy when he saw Ru Shi's genuine smile he wanted to kiss her but not rush things he ended up kissing on her forehead.

Ru Shi felt heat rose on her cheeks, which made her to hide her face in his chest. Which made Shen Yi to chuckle and hug her tightly.

Shen Yi don't know why he searched for her like a mad man these past few weeks but now if anyone asks him 'why?'. He would give them this answer 'I just want to erase the loneliness in her eyes and make her happy by spending the rest of my life with her.' If this is what they call love. Then this is it he thought to himself.

While Shen Yi was so delighted at her little action. Ru Shi was afraid that once he find out her pasts he will abandon her. She tried to listen to her heart this time, so she did. Her past is something which she is afraid of but she is afraid that he will too judge by looking at the cover. So she wanted to honest with him.

"Shen Yi don't you ask why I want to destroy Ru family even when I'm one?" Ru Shi asked him slightly moving her head to look at him.

"Shen Yi?" he asked her clearly amused. Half an hour back she refused to call him by name and now she is in his arms calling him by name.

"Since we are going to get married, I don't think it's good to call President Shen or Mr.Shen right?" she asked him back fluttering her lashes. He just nodded his head like a child looking at her adorable moments.

"Well..." she trailed off implying to her earlier question.

"Every one have their own pasts, I know that you too have one. And I don't expect to listen it from you right now. I can wait but it doesn't mean I won't support you, I will support you in your every decision." His reply clarified Ru Shi fears. So she sighed in relief inwardly.

"Since we are going to be married, I will stay honest with you and I expect you to be same. Also you should probably know by now I'm someone who doesn't tolerate betrayal." Ru Shi made her words clear to Shen Yi. She wants him honest with her which he will gladly do without even her request.

"Don't worry as I said you won't regret marrying me. And also I won't accept divorce once we are married in this life time." Shen Yi too made his words clear. But rather it sounded like a promise.

While they both are talking upstairs there was a strom going on downstairs due to Ru Ping's and Wei Lei temper tantrum at Elder Ru.

"Ayyaa...I don't expect it turns out like this, Otherwise I would have made Ru Shi to promise me by acting I was sick. Stop throwing tantrum at me you both." Elder Ru pinched his nose not knowing what to do to make the girls stop being angry.

"You should have atleast warned her before hand, I don't expect I can see my friend marriage in this life time. If she rejects Mr. Shen then I will damn sure she will stay celibate in her life time." Wei Lei sighed. In her mind Mr.Shen was her last hope to make her friend a wife.

"Why?" Shen Lu ,Elder Shen and He Ning asked at same time.

"Because Sister Shi rejected atleast half of the young masters in her college days. And Mr.Shen was our last hope because Sister Shi admires him as her idol." Ru Ping answered to their curiosity.

They all are waiting for both Shen Yi and Ru Shi downstairs while Ru family left due to Ru Ying's sudden phone call. Only Elder Ru , Ru Ping and Wei Lei are waiting with Elder Shen, Shen Lu , He Ning and Zhao Feng who is currently admiring Ru Ping.

"Don't worry Third Bro likes Ru Shi, so he will manage to make her accept this marriage." He Ning replied casually leaning back in his seat which made all heads turn towards him with curiosity expect for Zhao Feng who is so lost in admiring Ru Ping.

"How do you know?" Elder Shen asked him.

"Grandpa Shen, Third Bro was searching for a woman whom he saw somewhere from three weeks and that woman is non other than Ms.Ru." He Ning answered which made Elder Shen and Shen Lu to sigh in relief.

They both too tried to set up Shen Yi in so many blind dates but it all went in vain whenever he doesn't show up. But today he showed up which made their hopes high and after listening to He Ning's words they are in fully hopes but worried about Ru Shi's decision. Even though they both clearly like her due to her hard work and confidence. And she will be perfect for the role of Mrs.Shen.

As everyone lost in their own little worlds. They didn't noticed Ru Shi and Shen Yi returned with big smiles on their faces.

"Grandpa.."

"Grandpa.."

Both Shen Yi and Ru Shi called their Elders at same time which made both Elders to snap their heads at them while getting ready for worst news.

"We agree to marry each other" Shen Yi and Ru Shi said to both of them with a big grin on their faces.

Which made all of them to dumbfounded. While all had same thoughts 'Did they just smiled at us?' since both don't show more emotions to others.
