189 A Back Story
"!" the girl seemed to have finally noticed Kazuya's presence. Her face was immediately drained of color. Why didn't anyone warn her before that the CEO was standing right behind the vixen!
"So? Who do you think you are to fire my wife as you please?" Kazuya questioned with his dangerous tone, his voice obviously filled with rage.
"I-I…" the girl suddenly couldn't continue her sentence as she was overcome with fear. Did this mean that she was already in trouble? Was she going to be fired?
The girl glared at Lilica grudgingly. If she was fired today, it would be all because of that vixen!
"Do not glare at my wife with your filthy eyes!" Kazuya roared. He really disliked the way everyone was looking at Lilica, especially this girl.
Being insulted in front of the everyone, the girl's hatred for Lilica increased very quickly. Her glare became even more sharp, filled with desire for vengeance.
Kazuya saw that the girl didn't retract her gaze. Not only that, she even dared to glare at his wife with such eyes!
"It seems you don't understand human language. I do not need someone useless like you in this company! You're fired! Do not let me see your face ever again!" Kazuya commanded, losing his patience.
Lilica could tell that he was about to snap soon, and not only the girl, everyone may be fired too, so she quickly held his arm and said in a gentle tone, "I'm fine. You don't need to be so angry."
Kazuya looked back at Lilica, feeling his anger decrease quickly at her sentence. However, he couldn't just let this girl go so easily. He had to set an example for everyone so that they don't dare insult his wife in the future!
"She just misunderstood some things about us. As long as we tell them the truth, everything should be fine." Lilica whispered.
However, her intimate actions just made the people who were burning with jealousy hate her even more.
"C-CEO! It wasn't on purpose! I… I just got carried away for a little. Please don't fire me!" the girl began to plead when she realized that she was about to be fired. She couldn't just stand by and do nothing! She had sacrificed so much just to be able to enter this company and catch a glimpse of the CEO, in hope of catching his attention one day. She finally managed to become a secretary after sleepless nights, working hard to complete projects! She couldn't afford to be fired after she had finally come this far!
"Carried away? Even if it was like that, who gave you the guts to insult someone innocent, especially so when it's someone I care about? Is your brain filled with water?" Kazuya continued menacingly.
"I…" the girl was about to cry already. Being scolded by the CEO in front of everyone was so humiliating! Especially when the CEO made it sound like she was brainless.
Lilica quickly tugged his arm so that he could stop being so scary. The girl looked so pitiful right now.
"Hah. You think my wife isn't innocent? Is that what you're thinking?" Kazuya continued on, even though he knew Lilica wanted him to stop. No matter what, he had to teach this dumb employee a lesson.
The girl looked up to meet Kazuya's eyes. She really believed that Lilica had indeed seduced him, destroying his marriage. Something immoral like this would make her innocent, right?
Although she was silent, her eyes had answered Kazuya's question. She was indeed thinking that Lilica wasn't innocent.
"You are all misunderstanding me!" Lilica interrupted Kazuya when she saw that he was about to continue scolding the poor girl.
All eyes then suddenly turned to Lilica. However, Lilica didn't know where she should start explaining.
Seeing the troubled expression on Lilica's face, Kazuya sighed and said, "I'll explain"
"Although I was married to Lilienne before, we didn't really get along with each other and we would've gotten a divorce anyway, even if Lilica didn't come into the picture. Me meeting Lilica just made the process much faster. So, she didn't seduce me or anything and we genuinely love each other. We just managed to get married officially when everything finally settled down." Kazuya explained. Lilica had just told him that they needed to explain the truth to everyone just a moment ago. It was impressive that he could make up such a story within seconds!
Lilica looked at Kazuya with a shocked face. So, this is the back story we're going with? Why didn't you consult me at all about it? If I had talked to Suzuna about this before and the story didn't match, everyone would be suspicious! Also, since when did he think up such a story?
