9 Chapter 9
He lei, the father of He jeiran, excused his son and his wife.
as the couple walked out from their father's room, He jeiran hugged his wife shoulder.
"what can we do? we can't let xiao wei go to father" Cai yulan cover her mouth, tears was on the verge of falling and eventually it fell without warning.
He jeiran clneched his jaw. though he had reached his fifties, his handsome face didn't wrinkled. the same goes to Cai yulan, she can be said the clon of he weiwei with their identical features except for their eyes.
the thought of where his only daughter was sent overseas by He lei on the age of 7 with only her assistant, flashed in he jeiran memories.
He jeiran took a deep breathe and fell asleep after his wife.
the next morning, the whole of the He family gathered in the He family household where He jeiran, his wife and He lei resided.
As He lei just came back from overseas and found out her granddaughter was together with the Li family heir, everyone was worried to death.
"I think I have been lenient to all of you" He lei old voice yet still vigor which shook his children in fear9. He weixu, He roufan, He qiulan and He weiwei also came when they received their parents' phone call first thing in the morning. after having breakfast, they go to the the mansion and don't expect for their grandfather to return.
"to acknowledge my granddaughter relationship with the Li family heir, who give all of you the guts?" He lei slammed his golden cane to the floor which echoed throughout the big mansion.
He weiwei flinched. she clenched her fists. no, she will never go to that place again. over her dead body! she bravely raise her head and look to her grandfather eyes, "Grandfather, My relationship with yaojie didn't need your blessings nor did it need to be acknowledge by you"
her words was a silence to everyone. her aunties, uncles and cousins felt shiver down their spines. it seems her words triggered He lei. for her to say something like that, some of them cheered for her downfall.
"Xiao wei, is this how you talk to the one who taught you the danger of the world?" He lei gripped the cane silently.
"this is what you taught me. you taught me to be not weak, you taught me to wield gun, knives and how to deactivate bombs. you taught me how to kill people. you will never erase the fact that my hands already stained by doing your dirty works" He weiwei eyes turned cold, her tone didn't have any gentleness which upset He lei.
the elderly man coldly laughed, "good! so this is how you express your gratitudes to me? did that Li heir teach you this? I thought I have erased your thoughts about him"
He weixu frowned. "grandfather, xiao wei is a girl. how could you do that to her? did you ever think the blood running through her veins?"
if there is someone who dare to speak without fearing the consequences, then it would be He weixu.
"Weixu, your sister need to be teach of how dangerous the world was" He lei calmly said, didn't care of how rude his eldest grandson is.
"Grandfather, I done numerous things for you. I killed your enemies, spreading your powers to all of the countries, when will you let me go? I love yaojie and we will not be seperated just because you said so!" He weiwei responded swiftly.
He Qiulan mentally clapped his hands. his little sister was fighting for her happiness! How could he be not proud? seeing it with his own eyes, so dramatic....
He roufan silently pinnched He qiulan waist. "we are having an argument now, this is not the time for you to be happy" He said in an anger.
"roufan, look at how mature our sister is! I just proud of having her as my sister!" He qiulan whispered.
He roufan rolled his eyes.
He lei smile, "Xiao wei, You are my only grand daughter I cared of. if you want to be with that Li heir, I only want the best of you" his voice turned gentle. he always regret the fact he sent her to that place. he want to turned back time and took her back to the mansion instead of letting her boarded the plane.
He weiwei eyes widened. "I-I.....you won't send me there again?" she stammered.
"I regret my actions. I have let your hands stained by my own dirty works. for that, I could only reluctantly give you to that Li heir" He lei hold her hands gently.
"so, grandfather, why you called us over?" He roufan asked out of curiosity.
after hearing how much his granddaughter love that Li heir, He lei didn't put up his cold demeanor. he chuckled hearing his question. "I come here to reunited with my family. I just want to know how much Xiao wei love that boy that even Li shen bragged it to me everyday"
Everyone jaws dropped. what did he just say?! so he was only testing he weiwei?!
"elder Li must have pester you alot that you need to call me and my wife lastnight and made her cry" He jeiran glare at his father. god knows how much He and his wufe were worried that his father would sent their daughter to that place again! instead of that they were played! his wife precious tears was wasted!
He lei dryly laugh. "I don't mean to waste yulan's tears. its just the only way you will let your daughter come"
Cai yulan laughed. seeing that the atmosphere was good and lively, some of their relatives was happy while some was upset that He weiwei was gaining more of the elder's attention.
