Whoosh————

A basin of cold water poured over her head, and Evelyn Cobb woke up from her panic.

"She really is a bitch, what she said is true."

"Was it too much for you? Missing some men?" A man who looked like a gangster squat down and pulled Evelyn's hair.

"Amelia, you're really stupid."

Mocking laughter echoed around her.

"How's the taste of the drug? Feeling good?"

Evelyn's puzzled gaze swept over the group of gaudily dressed young boys and girls around her.

Her mind was blank, and the burning sensation all over her body seemed to be caused by the plane explosion. But something didn't feel right; she had clearly survived a plane explosion and was sure that she was dying, but everything happening before her eyes was so real. The pain they inflicted upon her as the man pulled her hair was extremely obvious.

"Let go," her voice was hoarse, carrying a hint of anger and warning.

The man's grip on her hair loosened slightly, as if scared by her. But only for a second, as he tightened his grip again and slapped her head with his other hand: "Who do you think you are? Just because you're engaged to the Robinson family, you think I'm not going to touch you?"

"Stein, why are you talking so much? Why not just get on with it?"

Someone nearby instigated him.

The man called Stein squinted at the disheveled Evelyn.

"You do look good, but your brain doesn't work well. Don't blame me today, who made you overestimate yourself?" The man pushed Evelyn onto the ground and began to take off his clothes in front of everyone.

Evelyn was still confused.

But her survival instincts told her that she couldn't stay here for long.

Taking advantage of the man taking off his clothes, she seized a nearby vase and smashed it on him, grabbed a piece of broken glass and held it against his throat, her cold gaze slowly swept over the people in the room who were watching the show: "Do you want him to die?"

The commotion was suddenly replaced by silence.

In the crowd, someone's eyes reflected a touch of surprise.

Evelyn spoke again: "Don't believe me?"

As she spoke, the broken glass in her hand pressed a little closer against the man's throat.

The man she held captive opened his eyes wide, too terrified to say a word, fearing that the glass would pierce his throat if he even moved his mouth.

"Open the door." Evelyn was very calm.

Someone in the crowd slowly opened the door, and Evelyn grabbed the man and stepped towards the exit.

Her coldness and calmness contrasted sharply with the surrounding chaos.

When they reached the door, Evelyn kicked the man and slammed the door shut, then ran off wildly.

The noise in the room was shut out by the door, but only for a few minutes before it was pulled open again.

Dragging her weak body, she turned several corners and dodged the pursuit of those people.

Just as she was turning a corner, she bumped into someone's chest.

With a bang.

Both she and the man stepped back.

As Evelyn looked up, she saw shock in the man's eyes.

It was him!

Christopher Robinson also saw the surprise in Evelyn's eyes.

"Isn't that——," a doubtful voice came from behind the man.

"Save me," Evelyn stretched out her hand to grab Christopher's arm, pleading eyes fixed on his face.

Christopher looked at the hand on his arm; a figure flashed through his mind. Before he could recover from Evelyn's appearance, he saw a group of angry rich second-generation kids rush over.

He reached out and pushed Evelyn into a corner beside him.

Everyone stopped in their tracks when they saw Christopher.

"Mr. Robinson."

"Mr. Robinson."

"Mr. Robinson."

People began to greet him one after another.

"Is there a ghost chasing you all?"

After a moment of silence, someone suddenly spoke up and explained, "Not really, we were just fooling around."

Christopher Robinson sneered and emotionlessly asked, "Really?"

"Let's call it a night! That's enough for us today," someone dreaded Christopher.

As a result, those rich second-generation young masters scattered like birds and beasts.

"President Robinson," Juliet Walker's voice sounded somewhat puzzled, and Christopher could understand her confusion.

"Go and see."

"Take her home," Christopher spoke again after Juliet Walker had only taken a few steps.

Evelyn Cobb leaned against the wall, listening to the movement in the hallway. When she heard footsteps, she became as jumpy as a frightened bird.

Juliet Walker hadn't even had time to look and couldn't help but gasp when she realized what was happening.

A once well-behaved, wealthy young lady, now disheveled and dirty, with blood-stained clothes appeared in such a place, and if the news spread, it would bring disgrace to both the Cobb and Robinson families.

"Miss Cobb, President Robinson asked me to take you home," Juliet Walker politely opened the conversation.

She handed over her suit jacket and said, "Put this on, there are many gossipy people in the nightclub."

"Thank you."

Once in the car, Evelyn finally realized where she was. The night view outside the window was the famous North Street in the capital with bars and nightclubs all along. She was too familiar with this street as she had been there many times before, clearly knowing which bars were pure and which were mixed.

Evelyn was shocked when Juliet brought her to a large mansion in the famous rich area of Holy Garden.

Why did she know?

Because she frequented the place.

"We're here."

Evelyn stood at the door, hesitant to move forward.

"President Robinson asked me to go in with Miss Cobb and explain to Mrs. Cobb and Mr. Cobb."

"Thank you," Evelyn opened her mouth to express gratitude.

She needed such an influential person to help her deal with unnecessary trouble.

As the door to the villa opened, the servants gasped at her appearance.

Then a cry followed, "Miss!"

Kallie Rayno came out of the house and was speechless when she saw her daughter's condition.

It was Jaso Cobb who asked, "What happened?"

"Mr. Cobb," Juliet Walker timely opened her mouth, "Miss Cobb had a little accident when she was with President Robinson, and he specially asked me to come and explain it to you."

Everyone was clear about Christopher Robinson's status, and there was no need to explain further.

Just this statement was enough for them to believe.

"Thank you to President Robinson."

.......

When Evelyn entered the house, Kallie Rayno held her hand with concern. Before she could say anything, she gasped.

The cut from the glass on her palm was still there.

"My god, what exactly happened to you? Why do you look like this? Didn't you go to a gathering with classmates?"

"I want to go to my room and freshen up," Evelyn's calm voice made Kallie Rayno stunned.

Feeling that something was wrong, but seeing her daughter like this, she didn't think any further.

"Alright, alright. Bardin!" She nodded repeatedly and called Bardin to go upstairs with her.

Evelyn deliberately slowed her pace, trying to let Bardin take her back to her room. However, the servants of the Cobb family were very well-disciplined.

Bardin looked puzzled when she stopped. "Miss, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

Evelyn replied and took a step towards the left.

"Miss, your room is this way."

Evelyn changed her direction and followed Bardin, who opened the door to a bedroom for her.

"You can leave."

"Do you not need help?"

"I'll call you when I need you," Evelyn said as she went downstairs.
