The Interview

In a large room of Pear Magazine office building, some people were quite busy preparing for an interview. Pear Magazine was one of the most influential magazines in the country.

In the middle of the main platform, Aiden and the interviewer were sitting, chatting with each other. They talked about the interviewing process and all. At first, Aiden rejected this interview but the Pear Magazine keeps on asking him again and again. So he finally agreed to do it.

The interview has just started. The interviewer thank Aiden in the first place, for accepting their offer and the latter responded with a smile and said that Pear Magazine won't give up until he accepts the interview so he had no choice. His responds made the whole crew burst out into a laughter.

"Your new book 'A Better Tomorrow' was published recently and it was a huge hit. Do you have anything to say regarding the success of the book?"

A collection of Aiden's book is present in a table before them. Aiden picked up the book in question. "This book is a special one for me. It tells the effects of depression and the value of ones life through the story of one woman. After publishing this book, I got many letters from my readers about how the book comforted them and gave them strength. So I'm really grateful that it can be of help to some people."

"Then do you have any idea for your new work? You've tried out many genres except romance. Will you consider writing it one?" The interviewer asked with a little laugh.

Aiden smiled and put down the book. "I never write romance genre because I have no experience in it and my EQ is quite low." He laughed, followed by the laughter of the whole crew.

"But I'll consider writing one as my next project." He concluded.

"Your fans will be very happy to hear the news. If you would consider writing romance novels, then does it mean you have some experience now?" The interviewer seemed to be very curious.

Aiden never date anyone publicly and he also never have dating rumors. So it will be quite a news for the people!

"No, not yet. But I'm in the process of having one." He frankly answered which aroused the curiosity of the crew more.

"Can you please explain what you said?"

"It's just that I fall for someone recently. But she keeps on rejecting me. Maybe I'm not handsome enough!" He joked and the room was filled with laughter once again.

Whenever Aiden Lee is around, he was always the mood maker and the one who lights up the set. People always praised him for this.

"How can you say that you're not handsome enough?! People called you the nation's heartthrob!" The interviewer played along with his joke.

"I think I should try harder." Aiden chuckled.

"I still find it hard to believe that a woman rejected you. But I wish for your success. I keep asking you about your personal life; if you finds it uncomfortable, I apologize. But can I ask you one more question? Only one!"

"You may ask me." Aiden replied with a friendly smile. He never minds speaking the truth.

"You never mentioned your ideal type before. So I'm curious about what kind of person this woman would be. Can you tell us something about her?"

Aiden pictured Hazel in his mind and then smiled. "I cannot disclose her identity. But she's someone with a kind heart, someone who does not believe in love but it was love that she needed the most. She looks tough on the outside but she's a fragile woman on the inside. Plus she's a workaholic too." He explained with a small laughter.

"She's such a lucky woman! Well, I wish you success again so that we could have an amazing romance novel from you soon. Thanks for patiently answering our questions!" The interviewer stand up and shake hands with Aiden; then the interview ended.

Aiden left the Pear Magazine building and went to Blues Publishing.

"How's the interview?" Lucas asked him as soon as he saw him. Though he was sure that his perfect friend won't make some stupid mistakes before the media, he always asked him out of courtesy.

Aiden recalled the things he said in the interview. Will he tell Lucas beforehand about what he said? But he wants to see how he react after reading the interview; so he prefers not to tell him. Lucas will be so shocked! Aiden already knows what his best friend would say to him.

"Fine." Aiden simply answered. It's 5 in the evening and he keeps on glancing at his phone.

Lucas stared at him and sighed. "Why do you keep on glancing at your phone? Besides why are you always busy these days? You were busy writing for many months and now you recently completed your book; but you always have another plan without me." He bluntly said. He feels like he was being mistreated by his one and only friend.

Aiden chuckled at his friend's jealousy. "These days, Luke, I'm up to something. You'll find out about it after some days." He calmly said.

"Why? Just tell me! You always said that and it makes me more curious." Lucas said with a grumpy face. But his friend didn't listen to him at all.

Instead Aiden was talking to someone on a phone with a bright smile and leave him once again without bidding him a proper goodbye!

"Hey! Aiden! You can't just leave like that. Answer my questions first!" Lucas yelled at his friend who ignored him completely and leave without no hesitation, with a big smile plastered on his face.....
