39 Mommy Xiaojun! (2)

"Moon Rabbit, can you please be her mommy?"

"Huh?" Xiaojun thought he misheard Long Shan. "You want me to be… Liling's mommy?"

"Yes…" Long Shan said. There was a faint tint of red on his cheek, "I—I don't need you to be my wife yet… that one could wait until you are ready—"

"Wait, wife?! Why would I be your wi—"

"But I need you to be Liling's mommy just this time," Long Shen said. He slowly put his hand over Xiaojun's hand and stared at him, "Moon Rabbit, I really need your help. Can you please help me? At least for once, I will be indebted with you."

Xiaojun gulped when Long Shan held his hand. No, he was not scared or anything. It was just a bit… embarrassing. Especially since Long Shan's hand was big and warm, in fact, Long Shan's whole aura was that of a big and handsome teddy bear. 

"W—Why, mommy? You don't give me any context here. I am confused, Long Shan…"

"Well, Liling's school hold this festival every year. She is already sixteen years old, a sophomore in her senior high school. Her teachers complained to me that Liling never joined that event," Long Shan said. "It's a parents day festival, a festival where the students would pair up with their parents, usually their mothers, and do competitions together or just walk around the festival to have fun."

Long Shan looked lost and sad. He lowered his gaze and rubbed Xiaojun's soft hands with his coarse palm. "I've asked her plenty of times, and she just doesn't want to. She said that everyone will cry if they see me walking around the school. Besides, I always come with some of my men. She just doesn't like to scare others."

"Well… if anyone sees you like this…" Xiaojun looked from top to bottom. Long Shan was really tall with a big and muscular posture. Although he was clean-shaven, it didn't hide his deep and intimidating eyes that would make everyone cower. His sword eyebrows didn't help either. 

Xiaojun nodded. "Yeah, Liling is right. People will get scared of you, definitely."

Long Shan sighed, "I asked her if I need to do something so she can bring me to that event. But she just outright denied me and said that she wants me to give her a mother for this event, so she will not scare others."

"But I told her that I've fallen love with you, so I will not bring any woman with me in Long Mansion. She said if it's Feng Xiaojun, then she will accept. In fact, she will parade you around the school so she can show off that she had Feng Xiaojun as her guardian." Long Shen explained thoroughly. 

        …

"Wait, before that…" Xiaojun gulped. He could feel that his face was getting hotter right now. "W—When you said you've fallen in love with me… is that really true?"

"Of course!" Long Shan answered without hesitation. "If you want me to hold our wedding today, I will tell my men to prepare the wedding! We will meet the Long elder to bless our marriage!" 

Long Shan intended to kneel in front of Xiaojun, making Xiaojun flustered, "D—Don't propose now!" 

Long Shan looked up to the embarrassed Xiaojun and asked, "I thought you are ready. Is there any problem?"

"W—Why are you so confident anyway… you don't even know whether I like you or not…" Xiaojun said. He dodged Long Shan's eyes because it made his heart beat faster than it should be. 

"Well, I am a man of my word. If I have fallen in love with someone, I will show my best self to him. And I will make sure that everything he wants is fulfilled. That is why… maybe you don't like me for now, but I will try my best, Moon Rabbit," Long Shan smiled with the most innocent smile Xiaojun could ever see.

Despite his huge and scary posture, intimidating face, Long Shan was still a handsome and sincere man. 

Xiaojun felt this was unfair because he didn't know how to handle a truly sincere man like this…

Xiaojun tried to shift the topic, "A—Anyway, I don't think I can help Liling in this. What would they say if Feng Xiaojun comes to Liling's school as Liling's parents? They will think that we have a relationship, and it will be a big scandal!" 

Long Shan knew that Xiaojun was not ready about this. That was the reason why Long Shan didn't chase Xiaojun aggressively. He wanted to take things slowly like a gentle river. 

Thus, Long Shan tried to persuade Xiaojun by saying, "Don't worry, you can always say that you and I are good friends, and you treat Liling as you treat your child."     

"Well, she will be your child later anyway," Long Shan giggled.

Xiaojun decided to ignore it. He was so embarrassed to be courted like this, though he didn't say that he hated it. In fact, he actually liked it… just a bit. 

Long Shan predicted that Xiaojun would refuse to comply. Thus in a sudden turn of event, Long Shan suddenly kissed Xiaojun's hand and said, "If you don't accept it, my lips will go up on your wrist… arm… shoulder..."

"S—Scoundrel!" Xiaojun pulled his hand immediately. Long Shan giggled mischievously and got up. "I take that as a yes, okay, Moon Rabbit?"

"Ugh," Xiaojun seemed to think for a while before he finally nodded. It was not really troubling anyway. He was just a tad embarrassed. 

Besides, Long Shan really loved his daughter. It was good to help a father that wanted to bond with his daughter. 

"I will comply, but with one requirement," Xiaojun said.

  "What is it? I will fulfil it!"

"After that festival ends, you must come with Liling and me, and we will spend time together!"
