2 2. You are like my own child

When Singto's mind is full of thoughts about his soulmate, on the other side of the world, it is morning. To be precise, 10 A.M in New York City.

A building is set ablaze. A person in the fire is saying, "Emma! Runaway, my child...just run away with your mother." Emma is six years old and can't run fast, so her mother carries her and runs without looking back.

Emma is crying out, "Mom! Please put me down. That is our house. My toys are there!" and she tries to get down from her mother's hold.

Her mother is crying and says, "Emma, our life is in danger. Don't wiggle my child. We have to go away from here as soon as possible."

Emma hears someone is calling from the fire, "Emma! Emma! Emma!

Her eyes are glued to the blazing building. She hears her name continuously until they turn to the next road.

Emma's body is shivering by seeing those flames and an unknown voice calling her. Her body is full of sweat. She suddenly wakes up by shouting, 'please save that person.' She looks at herself and found that she is bathed in sweat.

Hearing her shouts, Sophia and Jack comes to her room. They switch on the light. Sophia hugs her by saying, "Please calm down, Emma! It is just a nightmare. Look, I am here."

Emma slowly opens her eyes and says, "Aunt! Why have I been having the same dream since my childhood? I can't bear it anymore."

"Don't worry, my child. They will go away eventually", said her uncle Jack.

"No! I think there is a connection to my dream and my past."

Sophia and Jack look at her with concern in their eyes.

Emma says, "I want to go Pattaya to search for my past."

Sophia says, "That's why we arranged your marriage in Pattaya."

Emma says with a pale voice, Aunt! I want to go to Pattaya to search for my past. I don't want to marry now."

Sophia sighs by calling "Emma."

Emma roses up by rubbing her eyes and says, "You know, I don't like this wedding. I don't know who he is? Who is doing arranged marriages in the 21st century?"

Sophia shakes her head and retorts, "Emma. Don't behave like a spoiled kid. I don't want you to go Pattaya in search of your past."

Emma says, "I don't want to talk with you. I want to talk with Uncle Jack. Where is uncle?"

Emma walks towards the living area and calls, "Uncle, uncle. Where are you?"

Jack shouts, "Emma! I am in my office room. Come here,"

Emma goes into the office room and sits on the sofa. She takes one of the cushions into her hands and says, "Uncle! I don't want this marriage. Please tell aunt to stop all these things."

Jack comes out of his office chair and sits beside Emma. Sophia joins them by pulling a chair near to them and sits with them.

Jack gently says, "Emma, though by relation I am your uncle, I raised you like my daughter. You know your aunt has raised you as her daughter. As parents, we always think that you should have a great life. After thinking a lot we came to this decision. Don't you agree with us?"

Emma says in agreement, " I agree that both of you looked at me as your daughter though I never called you my Mom and Dad."

Sophia comforts, "It's OK. We never want you to forget your parents and call us Mom and Dad."

Emma still remembers when she was six, Sophia came to see her mom in the hospital. Her mom introduced Sophia as her longtime relative and by relation, her aunt. When her Mom passed away, Sophia took her from Pattaya to New York. Sophia introduced her husband to Emma as an uncle. As they both didn't have children they both took care of Emma as their own child.

Sophia explains, "Because we care for you, we decided this marriage will be good for you."

Emma searches for some points to argue and her brain is not giving her any ideas. So she says, "I urgently need to go to the restroom. We will continue our talk after I come back". Emma looks at the clock after taking the time to freshen up. The clock showed it was 11 A. M.

Back in Pattaya, it is night 11' o'clock. Gammon Sutalick, son of Sean Sutalick is dancing in a pub with a group of girls to his heart content. The dance floor is flickering rainbow lights and colorful people. He likes to party every day and girls are over his money.

Gammon is the CEO of Sutalick industries. But he never goes to the office. The CEO tag is for namesake only. Sean Sutalick didn't restrict him. He allows his son to do whatever Gammon wants to do. Because Mr.Sutalick doesn't want to lose his other son.

Gammon likes to party till midnight because he hates his house. Because there will be no one to greet him or look after him in that house. His father is always busy in business and travels to different places.

Gammon is trying to seek happiness from clubbing with different girls but his heart never hooked to any girl.

The night is becoming more darker and few girls are testing their luck to steal his heart to snatch the privilege of being Mr. Sean Sutalick's daughter-in-law. Gammon knows the girls he is dancing with are interested in his money rather than him.

In the dark corner of the night club a girl is observing Gammon keenly by drinking a glass of margarita. She is biting her fingers by looking at how girls throw themselves on him. She is annoyed with those girls and decided to pull Gammon away from those girls .

She roses from her chair, she is swaying while walking. Her pointed heels are trembling to keep her in balance. Somehow she manages to reach Gammon and pulls him away from the girls. The other girls face sour at seeing a strange girl trying to force him away.

Gammon didn't understand who pulled him. He raises his hand to slap that person.
