A sharp sound coming from a fast-moving object made Xiao Ming turn her head and see another fork cutting through the air and directly aiming for her fingers. For a quick second, her reflexes activated and she managed to move her delicate fingers a few millimeters away from its original spot. She was able to dodge in time and the cutlery embedded on the carpet instead.

Pale as a ghost and trembling in fright, she turns her face to Vera. Her jaws involuntarily tremor while her eyes almost bulge out of her socket. The woman is moving slowly to her direction, and she moves back unconsciously, making sure to put distance between them.

The people in the room is in a trance after witnessing a horrifying situation. Only Xu Long Wei is eating quietly like nothing distressful is happening around him. Even Xu Li's mouth is wide open, seeing his mother's incredible move. "Awesome!" the boy thought.

Vera moves closer to the woman who ruined her appetite. "Tsk..tsk.. I tried very much to control myself today, but it seems that my patients have its limit". She speaks coldly that made the staff freezes on their position.

"Mis..tress.. I. Don't know what you mean." Xiao Ming stammered while moving a few more distance away from Vera. At the moment, her legs are shaking, and she doubted her ability to stand up. Left with no option, she finds protection closer to Xu Long Wei. Which was a wrong decision since Vera's eyes sharpen like a lioness ready to pounce for its prey.

Undecided what to do next, Xiao Ming holds Xu Long Wei legs. "Master, I don't know what the madam is accusing me. Please help me" She begs while her tears flow down her cheeks dramatically. Anyone who is looking at her pitiful yet beautiful face would have their heart move at the moment. However, who is Xu Long Wei? The dense and unmoved.

The man just looks at her and roughly move his legs out of her grasp. "Don't touch me" He muttered before he stood up and move chair next to Vera. To everyone's surprise apart from Vera who is about to burst from anger, the man seated and even organizes his napkin and continue eating! Their master's action dumbfounds the staff observing on the side. They look at Xiao Ming sadly.

Like others Xiao Ming was left speechless, she didn't anticipate that her master would disregard her easily.

"You think too highly of yourself. Tsk..tsk. Don't think for a second that I am naïve to your intention just now." Vera said softly, but her low voice echoed to the silent hall that made all the people inside attentively focus with every word she utters.

"I don't know what you are saying, mistress. I am only doing my job. Please if you are unhappy with me, just let me know. You don't have to use violence against me." She denied and cowered down in fear. She did her best to appeal around her by looking as if she was mistreated. For the time being, she can't accept that she indeed wanted to seduce her master. The most important is for the woman to look bad in front of others. Then she can use it on her advantage.

"Hmmn, I see. You are indeed, right. I must have used some violence just now, however, who cares? Who can blame me? No One!" Vera declared the last part confidently, not caring how arrogant she sounds like. She has always been known to act violently in regards to Xu Long Wei's affair. When she was living in Country A most woman avoid having contact with the man because of the little over protected woman watching his back. It goes both ways. Their coupling was respected and feared in the underground circle.

It might sound overly possessive to others, but since she has always been insecure of their age difference and the man has to wait for her a long time, Vera develops a strong urge to protect their relationship in her own ways.

If other woman fights back against their husbands' potential mistresses on the side by scheming and nagging, her ways is more lethal. She is not good with words, this makes her hand moves faster before her brain could process things. It's a habit that many people advised her to fix but for some strange reason, could not mend. Besides, Xu Long Wei's way is precisely a replicate of hers, and she doesn't mind. In fact, she loves it. If both of them prefers it this way, who cares about others opinion?

She looks around to see others reaction, and Vera is disappointed by the way the other staff are looking at her.

"Mistress, I can't believe you are saying that right now, I have never offended you. I always do my best to do my job" Xiao Ming, vehemently deny again. She gazes at her friend who is standing on the side to get some help and the other staff nodded.

"Mistress, please don't misunderstand Xiao Ming, we had been with her for many years, and she has always been a good worker." A young servant moves forward to defend Xiao Ming.

"I don't doubt that she is doing her job; however, trying to take something that doesn't belong to her is unforgivable in my dictionary. Now, as a mistress of this house, how do you think I would handle this situation, my love?" Vera focuses her attention to Xu Long Wei, who is still enjoying his supper.

"Do as you please" he said before sipping a big gulp of his red wine. He stared intently at Vera.

She smirks, seeing the hidden meaning behind his words. Like a thunder, she shouted "ALL STAFF OF THE HOUSE. TO THE MAIN HALL NOW!
