It was dark when Xu Long Wei returned to the estate. Not wasting time, he went directly to the medical building and opened the door. What greeted him, warm his cold and tainted heart. Inside the room are his beloved child and woman teasing each other with affection. For some reason, the light reflected brighter than usual and enhanced the cheerful picture in front of him. Is this what a complete family looks like?

Vera is seating on the bed, while she poses her head on the headrest. On her lap, their son is talking animatedly with various expression in his face. He had never seen the boy acted like this, and it give him warm feeling inside. All the years, Vera's absence contributed to substantial emptiness in his heart that affected his child's upbringing, thus makes Xu Li reclusive compared to other kids his age.

Being a single dad and a businessman has its difficulties, and he has to sacrifice at some point. Unfortunately, it was his time with his son that has to suffer. As a father, he did his best to fill-in Vera's role. However, he can only fill a small gap. In the end, his business's needs overpower his son's priorities. Tonight, seeing his son's face overwhelm in pure delight, his worried heart could finally relax.

Not wanting to interrupt the duo, he walked to their direction quietly and managed to seat on the sofa opposite to them. They are engrossed in their conversation that both did not notice the man enter. He listened silently until Vera raises her eyes and met Xu Long Wei's satisfied gaze.

Xu Li also noticed Vera's distraction and followed her gaze, then realize that his dad has arrived. "Daddy!" He exclaimed excitedly and ran towards him. Xu Long Wei received his son's strong hug and was surprised to be greeted by him in this way. Not letting the chance to waste, he returned his son's affection bolder than usual that made the boy completely overjoyed. "My family is finally complete," He thought.

Vera also stood up and enveloped her two boys in a warm embrace. This is the reason why she fought death multiple times in her captivity, to see her family in each other's arms again. No matter how her enemies attempted to crush her resolve to live, she never gives up the thoughts that, at the end of her journey, she will come back time and time again to see her beloved man and son. For them to be reunited and live happily as a family which they should be.

"Welcome home darling" although it's late, Vera greeted.

"I'm glad to be home" he answered, trying to control his voice while still holding his son between his legs. "I think we need to celebrate today's event," he said and pulled out his phone and inform the Butler to prepare a feast for them.

With an understanding smile, Vera nodded her head in agreement. Indeed, today's event needs to be remembered.

Once the preparation of the dinner is over, they move to the dining hall located next to Vera's room. The family of three were delighted to see the massive amount of food displayed on the table. Vera is the most excited of all. From the looks of it, there are various Country X delicacies that she hasn't got the chance to taste on the table. She swallowed her saliva to prevent herself from drooling.

"Control" She mumbles. She should save some face since her son is there. Although her weakness is anything related to food, her son is present; she can't show this side of her! She is a mother now for God Sake!

However, unbeknownst to Vera, Xu Li already saw her mothers face, and he giggles at how her mom is trying to suppress her desire.

Realizing that her effort is useless since her son is as keen as his father, she throws her resolve and rush to the table. Tonight, she will eat to her heart's content!
