Chapter 39- Her Proposal plus collateral (3)

Xu Long Wei focused his attention to Vera when he heard her comments. The seven children she brought with her became the subject of his scrutiny.

"Leave" He barked the command suddenly and the children who are standing panic with his killing aura but didn't leave their position. They will only follow one person, and even the older boy in front of them often scare them to death, they would never be disloyal to their real mistress.

Sensing that her subordinates are suffering from Xu Long Wei's overwhelming presence, she told them to wait for her outside.

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be crying somewhere?" Xu Long Wei asked seriously. It didn't escape him that she was not affected by his word today. He felt disappointed for some reason.

After he rejected her, he went home directly to release some build-up frustration. It was not his best decision to turn her down. When she told him about her feelings and asked him to wait for her, he wanted to say yes, however, he doesn't want to be foolish.

He needs to be mature and think about their age difference. She is still a child while he will become adult in few weeks. It's unfair to tie her into an unforeseeable future with him. Xu Long Wei knows himself; once he commits to someone, he would never turn his back on that person. It's in his family's tradition bore and breed in all the Xu clan excluding his uncle, that they will only love and marry one person.

If he waits for Vera, he will only love her for the rest of his life. However, he is worried that she will not be the same. What if she changes her mind? She is still young!

Vera approached him while carrying a heavy looking bag and carelessly dump it next to his feet. The loud sound created by the loaded bag reverberated on the wall.

Xu Long Wei deeply furrowed his brows. He was silent for a while and tried to read her unusual behavior. It looks like the young miss is planning something ludicrous again.

"What's this. Are you planning to move in? He smirks, trying to tease her to lighten the situation. He felt that she would throw him some bomb soon. He needs to be prepared when it comes to her.

"Since I have already established that you will be my husband someday. I am here today to give you my dowry. Threat this as my initial deposit". She shamelessly announces.

Unprepared by her words, Xu Long Wei's heart skips for a few seconds, and he felt light-headed. The girl's word sometimes could make him go insane.

Sensing that he will not say anything, Vera continued, "If you promise to wait for me and be mine from now, I will give you all my treasured property. These are my design since I started making things. If you have in doubt about my sincerity, you can sell them when I turn eighteen and don't fulfil my promise. I won't retaliate that I vow. However, once you accept my dowry, you will always remain by my side as my fiancé. I can assure you that no matter what happens, I can provide for our household in the future."

Vera lowered her head after her lengthy offer. She was very confident a few minutes before, but now, she is worried that he will deny her again. She might not be able to handle rejection the second time, so she stepped back and waited for his reply.

Xu Long Wei is totally speechless. The quite boy became even quieter after she uttered her words. After long minutes of silence, an "Okay" word is heard in the room

Vera blows a sigh of relief. She raises her head and smiles widely. Finally, he accepted her, and he is finally hers!

She approaches him and hugs his stomach. The boy was even more speechless with her action.

"Wait, no hugging until you turn 18. I don't want to be dead by tomorrow if your father sees us. Let's wait until you are an adult." He lectured her with a stern look.

Vera pouted but didn't rebuke him. Xu Long Wei is pleased with her action. Vera is very dominant and bossy when it comes to his subordinate, but to him, she is always sweet and playful. He likes it about her.

Seeing Vera's overjoyed expression, he could not help but smile back.

It might take a while for them to truly be together, but he doesn't mind waiting for her. After all, he was not even sure that he will be in a relationship when he turns 18. It's not in his personality to make a connection with others aside from Vera. Fortunately, she initiated first. Otherwise, he might lose his chance before he makes his move in the future.

While Vera takes in the excellent outcome of today's event, a mischievous smile formed in Xu Long Wei's face. He returns her hugs tightly.

Finally, his woman is tucked rightfully in his side. It did not take him a while; on her resolve; she came to him!

Vera is happy and still clueless with all of this and Xu Long Wei will hide it from her until he dies!
