The rest of the day went by in a daze as questions stormed into Natalie's mind non-stop. She had already decided to confront Alonso with all of them, but for the sake of her mental well-being and his, she had to postpone addressing them with him until after her surgery thinking that the two of them had no room to focus on anything else until that was out of the way.

After a quiet dinner with her in-laws, they retreated to bed early. He made tender love to her but it didn't last as long as usual since she was so exhausted and fell asleep in his arms.
