13 You're Mine Tonight

"All right?" Jiang Yueping continued to act coyly.

Xu Chenglin was wholly taken in by her honey trap. Without even waiting to hear her out, he nodded his head. "Yes, yes, yes. What is it? I'll do whatever you ask."

"You're right. No matter what, Ranran is still my younger sister. I feel that I should visit her mother and buy her some food as a display of filial piety. Why don't you take me to her?" As Jiang Yueping continued to speak, her eyes glistened with malice.

Bai Ran's mother was a taboo subject. No one in the family had anything to do with her.

Thus, nobody in the Jiang Family even knew in which hospital she had been receiving treatment. They wouldn't have to this information even if she were on her deathbed.

If Jiang Yueping wanted to find out where Bai Ran's mother was, the only person she could turn to for help was Xu Chenglin.

"Didn't he visit Bai Ran's mother with Bai Ran?"

When Xu Chenglin heard this, he did not feel it was a delicate matter and agreed almost instantly.

"Sure thing. I'll take you there whenever you want to go."

"Really Brother Chenglin? I know that you dote on me the most!" Jiang Yueping giggled gleefully and made her way into Xu Chenglin's arms before she lifted her head and gave him a smooch.

"Of course, I mean it!" Xu Chenglin quickly hugged Jiang Yueping, and his heart swelled with satisfaction.

As the couple continued to hug each other on the lawn, Quan Rui and Bai Ran, who were walking ahead, were about to enter the villa.

Of course, Bai Ran never intended to go inside.

She slowed her pace and frowned but eventually voiced her objection hesitantly.

"Master Quan, how long do you intend to hold my hand?

We're neither kin nor kith, and we're not related to each other in any way. Is it all right to allow him to take advantage of me like this over and over again?

Quan Rui didn't look back even though he sensed displeasure in Bai Ran's voice. He merely looked ahead and sized up the manor.

"No matter how glorious a household is, there will always be at least one skeleton in the closet, some deep, dark secret. Bai Ran, you're also a daughter of the Jiang Family. Why didn't you try to hold onto me like those two sisters?"

Quan Rui was curious.

Every woman in this world would have fought it out with the others to be with me.

Bai Ran wanted nothing to do with a married or engaged man.

"I'm merely engaged to the daughter of the Jiang Family." Quan Rui sounded slightly ambiguous when he said this. He did not seem the least put off by Bai Ran's cold, indifferent attitude. "You're mine tonight. If you disagree, then don't even think about getting as much as one step closer to that lawn outside, and I also won't step in to settle those two sisters of yours. But judging from the intensity of the earlier situation, I suppose you can't leave here peacefully tonight."

"You... What do you want?" Bai Ran didn't know how she became involved with this man. "If you merely want to see me make a fool of myself, there's no need for you to be so invested in it."
