12 Would Always Be Forgiven

"If it hadn't been for Bai Ran, my sister wouldn't have slapped me this time!"

When Jiang Yueping brought this up, Jiang Bangyuan knew that her sister still sided with her and she adopted a less-harsh tone.

"What's the hurry? Did you think that Quan Rui loved her? Quan Rui loves himself. We'll have plenty of opportunities to deal with that little slut in the future." Jiang Bangyuan sounded more confident as if she already had a plan in mind.

She wasn't as impulsive as Jiang Yueping was.

Quan Rui is mine and nobody can snatch him away from me.

If anyone wants to pit herself against me, I'll give her a piece of my mind and a taste of how it will all end.

"Sister, do you already have a solution?" Distracted by the conversation, Jiang Yueping almost forgot about the pain on her cheeks. She moved in closer to Jiang Bangyuan to hear her out.

"That little wretch's greatest Achilles' heel is her dying mother," Jiang Bangyuan said, her eyes darting from side to side. "So think of a way to deal with that woman." After Jiang Bangyuan spat out her words contemptuously, she huffed off to the villa.

Jiang Yueping clearly understood what Jiang Bangyuan meant by that remark and assured her she would take care of business. "I see. Don't worry, sister. Leave it to me."

Jiang Yueping had always been audacious. Even as a child, she had demanded her way in everything and usually got it. In her parents' eyes, she could do no wrong. No wonder she turned out to be an entitled brat.

Jiang Bangyuan, who was some distance away, heard what Jiang Yueping had said.

A sinister smile formed on her face.

She's indeed a good younger sister. I just have to dish out a small hint, and she'll help execute the things that are inconvenient for me to undertake.

Let's not talk about whether she'll do a good job.

If my younger sister fails, she can shoulder all the consequences.

No matter what mistake she makes, she'll always be forgiven, won't she?

After Jiang Bangyuan huffed off, Xu Chenglin walked over to Jiang Yueping and tugged her sleeve. "Pinger, does it still hurt?"

He asked with a concerned look as he gazed at the few finger marks that had surfaced on her face.

"What do you think?" Jiang Yueping rolled her eyes at Xu Chenglin crossly. He should try experiencing what it's like to be slapped by someone!

To think he could still ask if it hurts.

Isn't he asking the obvious? What an idiot! I'm getting mad just looking at him!

"It's all my fault. I didn't protect you well," Xu Chenglin continued pitifully.

Jiang Yueping felt frustrated just looking at him and waved her hand dismissively to indicate that he should get out of her line of sight.

That's enough. Move aside. You're useless! Jiang Yueping never liked Xu Chenglin. She only agreed to be with him to spite Bai Ran and snatch away everything that belonged to her.

Now that things had developed to this stage, she had even fewer feelings for this spinless character.

Xu Chenglin was stunned. He couldn't understand the abrupt change in Jiang Yueping's feelings.

That afternoon, she professed her deep affection for me. But now...

"Pinger, what's the matter with you? Is it because of what Bai Ran said before? Don't be angry. She's still your younger sister, after all."

Xu Chenglin continued to nag, but Jiang Yueping was already thoroughly irritated. Just when she was about to chase this repulsive pesky fly away, she heard him mention Bai Ran's name, and an idea popped up in her mind.

A fawning smile replaced the look of contempt on her face.

Suddenly, Jiang Yueping hopped over and hooked her arm around Xu Chenglin's elbow before she shook it and called out his name ingratiatingly, "Brother Chenglin, Pinger has a favor to ask of you. Can you help me out?"

"Huh?" Xu Chenglin was confused. Wasn't she angry a moment ago? Why is she suddenly being so nice to me? Strange.

How very strange indeed.
