14 Past

In the car, Jones and Valerie is in an awkward situation.

They did not talk much. Minutes later, they arrived at home.

His parents had already informed him that they went to their house. Mary is at her workplace. So, he didn't go in, just dropped her off and said goodbye.

Valerie wave at the car that is going into further distance.

When the car was out of the sight, she enter the home.

She went straight to the bathroom to freshen up.

Then dried her hair and laid down on the bed.

Her eyes are unfocused.

Now that she think about it, her family is a total mess.

She is adopted, but in her heart they are her real parents.

Aamber Lu Scott, her mother was infertile. She was a gentle person with soft heart so when she hear about her condition, she felt devastated. She could not give a child to the person loved. But Mikelle, her husband didn't leave her.

They tried everything they could do. But still no hope.

One day, when they went to the hospital for monthly check up. They hear that a child was found in the neighborhood and no one came for her. So they went to look for the child and fell in love with it. She was so small, cute and soft. Anyone could not dare to touch her, afraid that they might hurt her. She was like a fairy came to the world. And when she smiled it bring happiness and joy to every person.

Without any hesitation they adopted her. Their little fairy angel. She was really like a fairy. After her arrival the Scott Corporation had many deals and everything. They took a deep turn and became very famous. Mr and Mrs Scott was very happy with their life. But good day have it's end.

One day, someone spiked Mikelle's drink. After the meeting, what actually happened, he did not remember any of the things.

Next day, when he went home, he saw a woman sitting on the sofa and on the other side of the sofa his wife was crying. He knew what happened but he cannot change the fact.

The woman was Xing Jia, one of shareholder's daughter. He knew that she wanted to become Mrs Scott but he didn't know that she can lower herself to that point.

He was very responsible person so he let her live there but didn't marry her. Afterwards, Mrs Scott locked herself in a room for almost a month without any food. Then Xing Jia got pregnant. Valerie was just a child that time. So, Aamber left the room and spend most of the time with her daughter.

Xing Jia also had a daughter, Ming, but she was not satisfied. She tried everything to sleep with Mikelle but no avail. So, Ming grew up in Aamber's care. Valerie and Ming are stepsister but not many people knew that. After all, Ming was Xing Jia's daughter so when she grew up her mother said many bad things about Valerie and Aamber. She didn't believe about Aamber but Valerie and her relationship started to strain.

Then the incident happened. She knew that her mother wanted to drug Valerie but she kept her mouth shut.

But when she saw Valerie's condition. How much she had suffer. She said everything to everyone. Xing Jia didn't had that much harm but everyone kept their distance from her.

Mr and Mrs Scott's relation also grew stronger. But Valerie had the most harm and pain.

That night horrified her every moment.

The pain, the agony, she never forget those feelings.

She was traumatized.

The next day of the night, she lost herself. She fell into coma for more than 5 months. Even though she was awake, she didn't remember anything. When she got pregnant, Micaela's birth, everything is like a dream. She had lost her memory.

The doctor said that that her brain and body was rejecting those memories. They directly told them not to mention anything about that even not reminding her. Before giving birth, she was like a shell. Her eyes were blank.

Every time she tried to sleep, she had those nightmares. Then she will scream, thrash everything but never did she cried. Not a single tear escaped from her eyes.

Until that day.

She gave birth but she didn't feel any pain. Then her mother gave her child in her embrace.

At first she just stared blankly at the bundle on her hands. Then tears started to fall like a fountain. She embraced her bundle of joy and cried loudly. Every person who saw the scene cried too.

That day she came to her senses.

She was physically haggard but mentally she became stronger and stronger.

She thought that she have to live,for herself, for her daughter and those people who was beside her in her misery, Who never left her.

They stayed strong, never lost their hopes. So she have to become strong.

She went to psychiatrist, went for treatment, nourished her body, her mind.

Then she went to go for her own training. Did everything she could.

When Micaela was just Two, she went out for more than a year. After she came back she was like a new person.

She was like a upgraded version of herself.

Her relation with Ming also became good.

She took care of her daughter, did work and everything she could.

She didn't go to take over her father's company cause she knew that she have to leave one day. She sent Micaela aboard and tried to investigate the identity of the man but no avail. She just wanted to know who was that person but nothing was left. So she left that as it was.

Many things are still secret that she didn't even tell her father and mother but she likes how it is.
