2 The Entrance

The faint sound of the motorcycle that slowly piercing the long silent road is now visible on eyes. Additionally a loud sharp voice of a pitiful man could be heard while begging for his life.

"Slow down the motorcycle, you idiot! We're gonna die!" Ira whose behind Teufiel was tighly hugging him from the stomach.

"This is so fun! Can you feel youself flying? Wait stop shaking me!" Teufiel almost had a heart-attack as he nearly lost his control of the motorcycle. "I just received my new driver's license. It will leave a bad taste to me if we cause such accident here!"

"Nooo---!!! It's my spirit that's flying! Stop! Stop!"

"Whoo! Yeah!!"

They were nearing of what looks like a forest. It was large with tall trees everywhere. The road from where they came are now separated, the forest in the right, the other one that leads to the main city.

Before they could continue going inside the forest. Teufiel stopped the motorcycle for a second. "Phew." Ira let out a sigh of relief. "You must have already memorized the routes a little while ago huh. . . As expected of you."

"Yes, I'm incredible! Praise me more and don't fall in love with me."

"I won't! Stupid!"

Ira looked at the forest once again as a bunch of crows flew towards it. The place felt a little ominous for him and he doesn't know why. It was still the middle of the day, just now a minute have passed since the noon arrived. This should not make it a little scary. Like those cliché movies where they'll end up lost and slowly, one by one, will be killed in the darkness.

Such scary thought entered his simple mind. "We are now outside of Auoan City. We are now away of the protection of the priests. This might be bad if something happen to us, who will protect us?" Ira's mind is now running wild and are full of menacing what-if events.

"According to the GPS, the road becomes difficult and very misleading inside. If we don't be careful we will get lost," Teufiel just smile and scratches his back. He did not think of the dangers inside. For him it was his normal summer day. And summer means fun.

Just so they can go to the beach. They have to do this.

And this made Ira returned to the reality.

The truth was, the only one who scares themselves are always themselves. It means human will make himself or herself terrified regardless of what it is. If he or she said 'I'm scared' then the brain will process this and then make a delusions that he or she is indeed scared. If that person said to others 'There's a ghost there' the brain will process and make them believe that there's actually a ghost. Because humans have wild imaginations. Like seeing an apparition that no one ever sees.

"Oh please don't say that."

Like that they went inside.

The entrance was a large hole that consists of crooked trees, accompanied by a road full of yellow leaves. The sunlight though it is already noon, doesn't feel that much hot as it went through the small gaps of the leaves.

Ira whose earlier was thirsty, and was asking for water, now feeling the freshness of the nature. The trees would absorb carbon-dioxide and release oxygen. This is the most pure air he was breathing now. Aside from the perfume they currently sprayed on their clothes.

The road had branched off into three routes.

For Teufiel who memorized the routes to the town was a piece-of-cake for him. They went to the west route where the scenery didn't much changed.

Where does those other routes heads to?

"Is it just me or we haven't encounter a person except of that man earlier?" Ira tilted his head as he asked Teufiel.

"It's summer. They must have went to their provinces."

"Guess so. . ."

And again the road had branched off and this time it's two routes. The left road on the side of it had a small shrine with lots of foods under its feet. Beside of this was a statue of some saint. The right road had a sign with words written; To Mournfield.

It was already obvious where they should go. Yes. The right road.

Ira who is now holding the shoulders of Teufiel became curious and said, "So many routes just for one town, huh? The two earlier and one here."

"That, all leads to a dead-end, according to my GPS."

"Oh."

A silence ruled over them. In less than fifteen minutes they were able to reached Mournfield, safe and sound.

That moment they saw such energetic people, boys and girls playing. The sound of karaoke from afar that reaches their ears. This excites Teufiel like a child and rushes inside leaving Ira behind.

He looked to the beautiful blue sky with nothing but the sun on it.

"How do I turn off this thing?"

He looked to the motorcycle with a dejected face. He is an amateur when it comes to this and the driver, Teufiel, dashed off somewhere else.

A certain face of an annoying person appeared to the sky while doing an okay-sign.

A head as clean as a shining crystal. It was Zenshu.

He is the only one to take over if ever Teufiel isn't around.

"Just how do I turn off this?" Ira repeated the question that only the air and himself can hear.

But he was not unlucky as someone spotted him. His face should have been giving off an expression that he badly needs help or else, accident will occur and he will have to visit a hospital on this kind of day.

"Need help?"

The stranger man politely asks him. Ira was just about to cry but held it in. This stranger was wearing a white shirt and blue shorts with black sandals. Has a common hairstyle as those boys in school. The shape of his face was long and has a lot of pimples. His body was of a medium build. He is much younger than him, he might be a highschool student.

"This will sound embarassing to you. . ."

"What? Tell me, I won't laugh."

"Saying to others you won't laugh is a white lie."

"I'm not that kind of person."

After pondering for a while. Ira began to open his mouth, ". . .I don't know how to turn off the motorcycle, my stupid friend went off inside and I don't even know how to operate this."

"Oh. I see, you can get off now. But this one looks really expensive and familiar to me," he stated with curiosity.

"My friend borrowed that. If it's alright, I want you to hold the motorcycle for the meantime."

"Of course! I'll take care of it."

"Thanks."

"Let's go inside, I'll give you a tour."

"Yes."

They began to make steps towards the entrance of the town. The sign showing 'Welcome to Mournfield' was neatly written in a not so large letters. Hanging just above the sign and the hand-made gate are the different flower combination. This made Ira felt the urge to take a selfie picture before entering.
