Warmth in a Simple Laugh (1)

The man is suddenly bursting out laughing! And Mahalia can't help but stare in this gorgeous lad and she just felt her pulse beat fast, elephants seem stumping on her chest but she's confused, did he hear her thoughts?

"D--did you just read my mind? W-why did you laugh?" Mahalia blurted out stuttering. She is blushing red with shame.

"No. It's just your face, it shows a lot. Sorry. Sorry to startle you. But do you remember anything before going here?" The man is now a little calm. How fast he calmed himself down when her can't stop its uproar.

But she's surprised how he stopped but a hint of teasing is still somewhat reflected in his eyes. She lost all her courage to tease him instead. How come she got overpowered? This is the first.

She chose to answer briefly, removing her usual tease and amusement. It's as if she had been tamed.

"Only some, not all."

"What do you remember?" Tadeo asked but did not put too much insistence in his voice. He actually wanted to know why this lady is crying on her sleep, why she has bruises and how come she were able to intrude in his realm.

But he's seeing how she is as clueless as he is. Also, the girl is quite too lively as she awakens and now interact with him and Tala at first. Did something terrible happen to her? But she just seems a happy person.

"I remember going on a hike with some friends and falling too but I don't know where" said Mahalia honestly. She's thinking that there's nothing grand with what had happened to her. She also remembers everything that happened over the last weeks.

But not the time she's going here in this palace. She also does not have any single clue where this is.

Tadeo already told him where this place is and she just can't seem to accept but it's confusing all the same because she sees how this man is too serious to joke around about such thing.
