1 Prologue

KA-BOOM

Another thunder angrily growled as it wanted to scare the entire lifeforms on planet earth. Heavy rain splattered on the busy streets in Sierra, washing them and pouring into nearby drains like small waterfalls. The gleam of the streetlights was reflected on the flowing water, creating an eerily beautiful atmosphere on this cold night.

A single hooded human figure walked through the pavement. His hands seemed to hug something that was inside his hoodie, protecting it from the rainstorm. His dark silhouette contrasted against the yellow beams of the street lights, creating an illusion of a live painting.

This person was a man. His baggy clothes were larger than his extremely tall but, bony frame. However, the arms of his hooded jacket and legs of his trousers were shorter compared to his long limbs, so he looked like a grown-up in kid's clothes.

His shadowy figure entered into a hidden alleyway from the main street. If anyone saw this, they would think that either this man was crazy or was doing a hideous job. It wasn't a dramatic conclusion, as this certain alleyway was lead to the hidden kingdom of the Sierra town underworld.

No. Not Hades's underworld. The underworld where thugs, murderers, drug dealers, and many nightmares of the law belonged.

So, why this funny-looking man dared to walk through Sierra's mafia territory at midnight?

Simple. He was going home.

So was he a criminal? Nope.

Then a relative of a criminal? Nope.

Then who in the hell he was?

That was something even the Sierra mafia didn't know.

Two big bulky-looking thugs were leaning against stinky walls of the dark alleyway, smoking weed, and arguing with each other. They wanted to sort out who among them killed the highest number of people when they broke into the Sierra bank that afternoon.

Another short figure sat on the closed dumpster lid, rolled his eyes. These two bulky men couldn't kill half of the amount he already sent to the other world.

Most of his victims didn't even see when their death was coming. Perks of being an assassin. He smiled. But, nobody was focusing on him to see his creepy smile.

However, the pointless argument between two musclemen bored him. He felt annoyed. So, he used his authority as their gang leader.

"Steve, Bob, Shut the F*CK up for God's sake. Don't try to act like big shots...noobs."

Funny how he wanted to shut them up for 'God's sake.' Did he think that God only got annoyed by their conversation? LMAO.

"Boss, didn't we do a good job today?"

The guy called Steve asked from the assassin. He shrugged and responded. "There is nothing called good job or bad job. Just do your job right or die." Both thugs were taken aback by this merciless response.

They joined the bloodhound mafia ten days ago. They saw it as a promotion from their common street thug life. Bob raised his leg and put it on the other wall, creating an unintentional barrier in the alley.

"Excuse me, Sir, Can you please put your feet down? It blocks my path." A calm and polite voice addressed him.

Bob turned in the direction to see who has the guts to tell him what to do.

Bob was more than six feet tall. In this city, he never saw many men taller than him. So, to his wonder, he saw a hooded man who was a few inches taller than him was looking down on him with a smiling face. Bob felt angry.

"Who the F*CK are you to teach me what to do? Do you know who I am?" He barked.

"Let me guess. A newly promoted street thug?" The stranger replied calmly as ever.

This made Bob's face turned purple from rage.

"Who do you think you are? Imma wipe that annoying smile out of your face." He growled and threw a powerful punch at the stranger.

The other man dodged the attack easily. This wounded Bob's pride. He threw another punch.

The stranger dodged every attack in a very comfortable manner. While dodging another incoming punch, he looked at his wristwatch. His eyes grew wider. He cleared his throat and talked calmly while stepping aside to miss another attack.

"As much as I love to play with you, it's already late for me. So, pardon my rudeness." Then he grabbed the thug's neck from his right hand, lifted him, and threw him to the nearby dumpster.

Bob flew across the alley and landed directly on the dumpster. The other one walked away like, nothing happened at all.

Steve watched the whole scene with amazement. Then he turned to his boss and asked, "Who is he boss?"

The short guy replied. "A someone we shouldn't mess with."

"Did you know him?"

"Nah. Just saw him once or twice. Everyone knows it's not good to mess with him."

"Then why didn't you warn Bob?"

"Why should I? I'm not his babysitter. He should learn not to fight with anyone he just met." The short guy spat the nail piece that he bit a moment ago.

The alleyway was back into its usual silence. It was only disturbed by the painful whimpers of the street thug who laid in the dumpster.

Meanwhile, the one who threw that man reached his lair, the storage room of the Sierra Ramen factory.

He took a bunch of keys that attached to a large metal circle and went under the pulsing lamppost nearby. After choosing the right key, he opened the old metallic door which opened with a creek. Then he locked the door again before entering the storage room.

He stepped down through the old staircase and switched on the light. Then he took the parcel he carried under his hoodie and put it on the box of Ramen packets. Then, he opened it.

Green slime-looking, creatures were struggling inside the box. They didn't look natural. They gave an eerie glow that pulsed creepily. The man looked at them like he was looking at the most precious thing on the entire earth.

"Now, all of you in the final stage of the experiment. Do you know how hard it was for me to sneak into that lab? If only I have good lab facilities. Those dumbasses couldn't understand why I'm trying to create this AI system. They said it was dangerous. Danger my a**."

He vented his misery to these creatures. He stood up to open a secret door. Then, he closed the box and took it with him into a hidden room that looked like a haunted biological lab.

Little did he know that one of that glowing creatures accidentally fell into a Ramen box. It silently slid deep into the box and disappeared.
