3 Chapter 3: A Broken Promise

Too much stress for the reader, right??

Then let us take a break from the main story for a second.

Currently, I died without even getting to see the main plot unfold before my eyes yet.

My poor kid will have the trauma of losing a mother now. I felt bad for her but at least I could keep her alive.

I'm too positive, aren't I??

I was just trying to be calm sitting inside the void yet again, for many hours, days, and years. It felt like an eternity.

I could summon any novel I wanted to read inside this void, so after three years, I finally got my hand on the novel again.

I looked at the cover of the novel, my Lavinia was crossing her arm looking in envy at the female lead of the novel...HAHAHA...

She is really taking after me, her green eyes were gorgeous just like an emerald. She really grew up into a beautiful woman.

The female lead also didn't look quite bad, she had the male lead hugging her with affection while Lavinia was ignored. Just a glance of the novel, everyone already knew that Lavinia was the villainess.

Haa...there wasn't a heater inside this void. I'm really cold. My hands were shaking when flipping the novel's pages.

After reading half of it, reading the novel wasn't the same anymore. It hit different especially the part when my empire lost to the enemy. If it was the real Damia, she would survive and look after her daughter till the end.

Even the heartwarming story didn't lift my mood up, the female lead of the novel got to marry the male lead, the prince of the empire at the end of the story after the villainess's death.

It should be a happy ending, and yet...it broke my heart.

Lavinia lived the life without knowing how much her mother loved her, she was locked inside the tall tower where I came into the world for the first time, for like half of her life.

When she was able to get to the academy, the first place she met the male lead. It was all happy and fun to read until the female lead showed up just when the male lead was about to confess his love for Lavinia.

She was ignored and soon after, her existence meant nothing to the male lead when the male lead's eyes only had the female lead.

Heartbroke Lavinia came back to the tower to seek knowledge from her mother, using every potion she could make, even the ingredient was one of her fingers, she chopped it off to make the potion to bring the male lead back.

It was quite dark at that part. Her mother didn't know about that because Lavinia stole her mother's magic book.

From then on, Lavinia kept harassing the female lead. but every time, her plan never won against the plot of letting the male lead rescue his female lead.

I really missed Lavinia, I really wanted to hug her. And the thing I wanted to do the most was to slap that black-haired soldier.

"Lady Damia, stop..." Leona who had been chasing me the whole time kept murmuring behind me as I crouched down to talk to commander Louis.

"Where's my daughter? Commander, you defeated that scumbag right??"

"Lady Damia!!!!! Enough!!!!" the snow fell down, the white snow turned red when it touched the blood on the ground and on my hand which was caressing the cold face of the commander.

He was as cold as ever.

He must have been shocked as well, that was why he didn't say anything back to me.

"Commander Louis, calm down, okay?? I will accept everything." his knees were on the ground, his sword was still inside his hand clenching tightly.

He was strict as ever about keeping his knight gesture, he used to tell me, he will keep his gesture even he died.

"Lady Damia!!!!! Stop...please...our empire lost..."

"Leona..." she really knew how to make jokes, how can our empire lose when...when...

"Louis...you stupid old man..." he died. His body finally got to rest falling down to the ground with his face toward me.

Leona's hand was shaking when she patted my shoulder, I could hear her crying.
