"Damn that was a long trip," said Daigo as he stretched on the linen couch. "What are you complaining about? You rode in the carriage the whole time," Drake replied staring. "Well Lady Astema needed her right hand man, who was I to deny an order?" Asked Daigo. "You and I remember things differently," Drake replied. Flashback shows Daigo volunteering himself as Lady Astema's riding companion. "Well anyways, we're here now and that's what matters," Daigo said quickly. "Lady Astema should be okay on her own right?" Asked Drake. Daigo nodded, "She asked us to wait here, she didn't want any tension," Daigo replied. Meanwhile in the War Room, "Ah Lady Astema, it has been a while since we could meet like this, I just wish it were on better terms," Emperor Zias said. Lady Astema nodded, "I pray that today's gathering will not be for nothing," Lady Astema replied as she took her seat. The double doors at the end of the hall flew open and Lord Mephis stepped in to the room. "Well, well, well, look who it is, it has been quite some time since we all had this little get together," said Lord Mephis. Lord Zias glared, "Mephis you know why you were called here, I would like to get this summit under way." Lord Mephis smiled, "Don't get the wrong impression Emperor, I did not come here with any intention on having any kind of peace talks or negotiating any truce, I am simply here to watch you to beg." Lady Astema frowned, "Please Lord Mephis look at what this war is doing to our people, please reconsider." Lord Mephis laughed and walked to the wall, a large golden map of Euria was displayed. "My people are joyous knowing that Necrosis is no longer looked at as weak and feeble nation, my father was a kind hearted man and the people adored him but our Nation paid the price, our economy was poor due to the harsh icy climate and trade was limited but now look at us, I am ruling with an iron fist and will bring Necrosis to the top of the 3 Nations," Lord Mephis said. Lord Zias slammed his hands on the table, "Necrosis was never looked at as a weak nation however, you have taken many lives with this war and you are pushing your boundaries, the Imperial Council will not take kindly to the fact that you have gone against their backs and declared war." Lord Mephis chuckled, "Emperor I am not afraid of the repercussions from the Imperial Council, in fact once I am finished with taking Euria my next target is the Imperial City." Lord Zias and Lady Astema stared in disbelief, "You can't mean that!" Lady Astema cried. "The world will know true power soon enough," said Lord Mephis as he turned to leave. "You will not be going anywhere," said Emperor Zias, "GUARDS!" Guards rushed into the room swords drawn and pointed at Lord Mephis. "So this is what you resort to?" asked Lord Mephis as he pulled out a small black and purple stone. "WHAT?! YOU BROUGHT THAT HERE!" Cried Emperor Zias. Lord Mephis grinned, "Well I didn't put it past any of you to try something rash, so I came prepared." Emperor Zias glared and Lady Astema backed to the door. "You all will know destruction soon enough, but for now we are done here." Said Lord Mephis as he turned and left the War Room.

The double doors opened and River and Ij walk through. "I am to assume that the peace talks didn't go very well?" Asked River. Emperor Zias stared at River with a look of disgust on his face. "That fool, he fails to realize he is in my city, you two do what needs to be done," Emperor Zias replied. "Father before we do," River began. "Do not argue," Emperor Zias interrupted, "He will not leave here alive." River and Ij nodded, "He carries the Midnight stone with him?" Asked River. "Yes," Lady Astema replied, "Emperor Zias, would you resort to using that power if needed?" Emperor Zias was quiet for moment. "River knows what is expected of him, if I must rely on the power of the Rapture stone then he knows what must be done," Emperor Zias replied. Ij turned to River, "I hope it doesn't come to that, the city would be leveled if you resorted to that power." River nodded, "I agree but if he is here then there may not be much of a choice." Everyone stood quietly for a moment. "Lady Astema, I recommend you take your leave, things may get out of hand," Emperor Zias said, "Guards, gather what Cavaliers we have in the palace and tell them to guard the exits." The guards nodded and exited the room. "Please be careful, all of you," said Lady Astema as she turns and leaves. "End this now River," Emperor Zias said. "Yes Father," River replied, "Let's go Shockwave." "Right," Ij replied.

"We are leaving," said Lord Mephis. "I take it you got what you came for?" I asked. Lord Mephis grinned, "If you mean satisfaction then yes, yes I did." "And of the mission?" Asked Dan. "Your skills will not be needed as of this time but don't worry soon you'll get your fill," Lord Mephis replied. "I am surprised they were so willing to accept the fact the war will go on," said Jon. "I'm sure it wasn't taken so lightly," I said. "Why do you say that?" Asked Jon. "We have been followed," I replied. We stopped and turned, River and Ij standing before us. "Well your coward of an Emperor seems to have sent his two errand boys to try and take me down," Said Lord Mephis. "Your reign of tyranny ends here," said River. River raised his arm to Lord Mephis, "BLAST FLAME!" he cried as a surge of red flame ignited from his hand and flew towards Lord Mephis. A dark void formed in front of Lord Mephis and sucked in the flames. "I wouldn't get too ahead of yourself," I said. "Well, boys lucky for you I don't like to get my hands dirty with worthless trash so I'll let you two handle this," Lord Mephis said grinning, "Nightshade, could you escort me to the carriage I feel things are going to get quite heated here." "Yes sir," Jon replied. "Be quick Sin and Frost I would very much like to get back at a decent time," said Lord Mephis. "I WONT LET YOU GET AWAY!" River cried, "SOLAR FLARE!" A blast of yellow flames hurled towards Lord Mephis. "DARK VORTEX," I shouted, a dark hole opened sucking in the flames once again. "Your fight is with us," I said. River glared, "I planned on taking your life later but I suppose now is better than never." I grinned, "Then give me your best shot."
