Lord Mephis stared into Sin's face. "YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME!" Lord Mephis said getting to his feet and swinging his sword towards Sin. Sin lifted his hand, intercepting the blade. "WHAT?!" cried Lord Mephis as he struggled to move the blade any further. "Your finished," Sin replied as the swords blade began disintegrating. Lord Mephis backed away and put his hands together, "MALEVOLENT REIGN!" he shouted. A black and red vortex formed in Lord Mephis' hands and a giant blast of energy erupted from the vortex swallowing Sin. "SIN NO!" River cried as got to his feet. Daigo grabbed River shaking his head, "It's not over yet," he said. River looked through the smoke and saw the silhouette of Sin. "No way?" Michael said, "Just how much stronger has he gotten?" Daigo grinned, "Let's just say Mephis has no idea what he's fucking with." Lord Mephis rushed into the smoke, "DIE YOU BASTARD!" Sin teleported above Lord Mephis. His wings opened and the orb on his back began to glow, "SHOOTING STAR BARRAGE!" Sin shouted as white energy orbs formed in the wings and cascaded down towards Lord Mephis. Lord Mephis turned to run but the orbs energy crashed all around him exploding. The dust settled and Lord Mephis stood, heavily injured, "You son of a bitch, I AM A GOD! YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!" He shouted. Sin levitated above Lord Mephis, "Then should we end this?" he asked. "DO NOT MOCK ME!" Lord Mephis shouted as he clapped his hands together. A green flow of energy erupted around Lord Mephis, "LET'S SEE HOW YOU FARE AGAINST THIS! TYRANT'S DEVASTATION!" The ground exploded and Lord Mephis surged towards Sin. "YOU DIE NOW!" Lord Mephis shouted. Sin grinned and lifted the staff, it began to glow with black and white energy, "You are mistaken, it is you who falls today." The two collided and the sky filled with a massive explosion. "SHIT!" Dan cried, "What the hell was that?!" Mikiu smiled, "My brother did it." Jon and Martin looked up at the massive smoke cloud above, "Is that really it?" Jon asked. Martin looked around, the demons had stopped fighting and were also staring at the sky. "What the hell just happened?" River asked. "It's over," Daigo replied. The smoke cleared and Sin hovered in front of Lord Mephis. "Wh...What...did you...do?" Lord Mephis asked weakly. Sin grinned, "This staff destroys all things deemed evil." Lord Mephis' skin began to crack and dissolve, "Th...this...can't be..I..am a God," he said. Sin lifted his hand towards Lord Mephis, "A pathetic God." A blast of white energy erupted from Sin's hand swallowing Lord Mephis, disintegrating him instantly. The demons below howled and screeched as they too dissolved and faded away. There was a silence that fell over the battlefield. "HE DID IT!" Dan shouted, "SIN DID IT!" all of the armies erupted in cheering. Sin smiled, "I guess we did it," Thanatos laughed, "Not bad kid, You did well." Sin smiled as his armor cracked and faded away his body returned to normal and he fell to the ground. "Get some rest kid, you deserve it," Thanatos said. Sin grinned and his eyes slowly closed. A few days passed and Sin finally awoke in a hospital bed in Ortega. "BROTHER!" Mikiu cried as she embraced Sin. "OW! Mikiu! That hurts!" Sin replied. Mikiu continued embracing Sin, "Suck it up! You could have died but you managed to end the war for everyone." "Ah your awake," Daigo said as he walked into the room. Sin smiled, "I see you are in one piece." Daigo nodded, "I have a broken arm, and some bruised ribs, Lady Astema refuses to let me out of her sight, but I'm not complaining." Sin laughed, "How are the others?" "Ask them yourself," Daigo replied motioning behind him as Dan, Jon, River, Michael, Martin, and Drake walked in. "Looking good there boss," Jon said. "Looks like you got yourself some battle scars yourself," Sin replied. "How are you feeling?" Dan asked. "Most of my body took heavy damage from being in Embodiment Form for so long, but the nurses say I'll be fine, I guess since Thanatos made our fused our power together, I'm healing quite fast," Sin replied. "We have a lot of rebuilding to do," Daigo said, "The Counsel met here and reformed the treaty, and pardoned the people of Necrosis for Lord Mephis' actions." Sin looked down, "Do I deserve that?" "I would think so," a woman's voice called from outside of the room. Sin looked up, "Mo..Mother?" Daigo smiled, "Counselor Tressa arrived earlier to see you but you were still out cold but now that your awake I messaged her to come see you." "Well, we will give you time to your selves," River said. The group left and Mikiu and Sin sat as Counselor Tressa stepped into the room. "MOTHER!" Mikiu cried as she embraced Tressa. Tressa smiled, "My Mikiu, it's been 4 years since I last saw you, you have grown so much." Mikiu smiled, "I'm as tall as you now, so it has been some time since we last saw one another." Tressa smiled and stepped next to Sin. "You went overboard didn't you?" Tressa asked. Sin nodded, "You know me." Tressa nodded, "Just like your father, but I know that everything that happened you had your reasoning for your actions." Sin's eyes glazed over, "He made me kill Kisa" Miku and Tressa frowned. "I am aware of the crimes that took place, however, the Counsel has enough evidence to prove that Lord Mephis was the mastermind behind the war." Sin frowned. Tressa placed her hand on Sin's shoulder, "You have a good heart, and for that I know you did what you could to protect the people of Necrosis." Sin nodded. "Reconstruction will begin to rebuild Lazerus and the ruined areas of Thorn, the Counsel will reside here until the task is completed, so for the time being I want both of you here with me," Tressa said. A month passed and reconstruction was close to being complete. All of the nations had come together to assist in the rebuild. A memorial was built in Ortega for those lost in the war. Sin stared down at Kisa's name that was etched in the memorial stone. "You know, when I found out what happened I blamed you, I was so angry but I let it blind me from the truth," River said. Sin smiled, "We've never been good at apologies, but I understand what your saying," Sin replied. It was quiet for a moment. "I loved her," Sin said. River nodded, "She loved you." Sin smiled. "So what now?" River asked. Sin turned and looked to the sky, "Who knows, But whatever comes our way we will handle it together."
