5 Surprisingly Talented

It had been a week since the training in Tai Chi began. Luckily Daniel's master easily d alt with the many dislocated ankles that occurred that night and Daniel learned how to properly meditate. Though it always took him at least twenty minutes to enter the meditative state his master said it was actually shockingly good.

So after learning how to meditate Daniel was forced to use that over sleeping. To say the least, he regularly collapsed due to exhaustion. Luckily his body had somewhat learned to use meditation as sleep, which although cool Daniel found weird.

When Daniel ever asked about how it works his master would give him the cold shoulder or force him to do more difficult tasks saying stuff like "You need a strong foundation, changing it up helps."

Daniel knew something was up though when the tingling sensations began. That of course started at the end of the first week. The meditation seemed to be making the tingling sensations stronger until eventually it felt like he was going to burst. This of course scared him causing him to wake his master in the middle of the night.

He may be rather mature as he is an orphan, but he was still a child. After that he had explained the situation to his master and he noticed that his master looked surprised, this was the cause of his first ever panic attack.

When his master managed to calm him down enough he explained "Meditation is a method to gather Qi, I just never expected you to have such an overwhelming talent for it."

Daniel was of course incredibly happy to here how talented he was, but then his teacher said "Now seeing as you are so full of energy, we can start training early and finishing late."

His teachers grin made him feel helpless and terrified, leading to the second panic attack of poor Daniel's life.

After that Daniel was forced to work harder and harder in his training, this was because his master now had to try much harder to exhaust him. Of course it wasn't all negatives as Daniel's 'foundations', as his master called it, had gotten much, much stronger.

It made him worry to an excessive degree when he thought about what his other masters would make him do. Luckily he still had another week and a half to do Tai Chi. So he began to work even harder on what he was being told to do, even memorising all of the jargon his teacher was saying while teaching him.

Later on Daniel would learn what he was being taught where called neigong or life energy cultivation, the life energy being Qi, and the other thing he was being taught was called taolu which he learned to be beneficial for flexibility, blood circulation and many other health benefits.

It was at that point he realised why the representatives had decided it would be best he learned Tai Chi first. It would make sure he was prepared for the pressure he would be under for the rest of the year.
