2 Self.

When you read a book what are your expectations from its ink? Is it something relatable that draws you closer? or something new and fascinating? Maybe you want a story you can remember as you come across something similar to what you have read? or maybe it is the picture created.

Self-help, Fantasy, Science fiction, Mystery, new age Romance, Humor, Philosophy, Thriller, Action, adventure, etc ( I assume you know that this list is endless.)

I based all my stories on a theme that few will grab, hold it tight, cherish it as long as the taste has not reached its disutility while you consume its view. These thoughts are not from outside the box, they are merely from within those ignored spaces that haven't been filled up.

Mathews had a friend. A talkative friend he had.

Lance was not only a friend of mine, to me he was a brother I never had. He always said something like "You know Davy, in this life we live to serve others for life itself exists from others, don't you think?"

Lance had his own thoughts on life, he was so persistent that he would continue from where he had left off as if he kept track of what he had previously said.

I remember in the 7th grade, Lance got in an argument with Miss Pressly, our English substitute teacher. I for one thought the argument was based on a pointless thing but he did not give my side a chance.

"If unique be a whole then it is not unique at all Madam," Says Lance.

The conversation started to heat up but Lance's confidence always stood upright.

Miss Pressly was not taking the correction very well. I think she felt that giving in might make her look less the person she believed she was.

She seemed to have been choking on her saliva, trying to finish her statement. It looked like she had forgotten the English tongue for a minute. Her face fuming in red as if she had swallowed a peri-peri (chili plant probably from India). But persistent Lance never let a thing go.

"Unique is a separate term, it cannot be mixed with an indefinite pronoun " Said Lance.

Lance taught me a lot. And Miss Pressly's statement before the disagreement blew was "Everyone is Unique."

Lance's disagreement was that her sentence was incomplete he believed it should have been: Everyone is unique in their own ways. As long as one's uniqueness does not make the other person less unique or more in that matter.

I did learn a lot from him. A lot I would have explored with him. Only if he were real.

Bloom.

Lance was not only a part of me, I was a part of him as well. As I lived through him, he also lived through me. He was the brains and I was common sense.

He would write something out of this world and he'd stare deep in me as if he intended to read my thoughts as I read his piece. He always managed to shock me for part of what he wrote was so dark to digest. I would then let him know that some things just needed filters for some of his words painted a different world, a world that we have decided to bury.

"Nonsense, that is not only foolish and ignorant, it is also delusional. How can one accept part of the world and intend to leave the rest? To whom for that matter? Who is supposed to carry the remaining for him? Or is 'he' of a different gender? You cannot choose to see the light without acknowledging the darkness. There is no such thing as 'good or bad it is good and bad. They come as a package deal. You cannot take one and decide to leave the other, it is more like saying you want to love but fear getting hurt.

" Lance, calm down, it is not that your writing is bad for that will be untrue, it's just that...it is (*sighs*). "It is not something positive, people crave for positivity. People do not want to hear-."(interruption)

Wait ...wait...wait. You mean people do not want to hear the truth. Am I Wrong Davy? Am I wrong for educating a servant? Am I wrong for dishing food for the homeless that are sheltered by those clouds that later on spit on them? Let me tell you a story about a Homeless man who had nothing but a book that he read day and night. A man who crawled like a serpent with no purpose to fulfill. A definition of failure in human form. Untidy for he hasn't felt the sensation of those shower waters pouring like a drop of a waterfall on his skin. This man was not born homeless nor did he sin badly to deserve this punishment. He is just a man. A man.

As time passed by wealth fell upon him.

"Now tell me Davy what is missing in that story?"

Lance: Yes it is incomplete, you don't know what led the man to his circumstances, how he got to the street, what book he was reading, how he suddenly became wealthy, what his name was, etc. The point is what you don't know corrupts the truth from the story, you cannot conclude without introducing but that is what we all do these days isn't it?

David: Your point?

"My point is, Every story has two sides, you either choose one side from the other like the rest or see both sides, explore the grey area".

"Now take this, read it, learn it, and share it as if it is something you intend to promote".

Lance Mathews' notes.

We all want to be special. All want to do something unique, accomplish the impossible. Live a happy, joyful, or maybe even a luxurious life. So we can be able to write it in our book of success and be quoted one day for our achievements. Travel the world, see all the wonders, beauty, and structures of mother earth while leaning on the jets, staring at the heavens. We are all craving the same lifestyle, wanting to be 'first place'. For we have convinced ourselves that the more we obtain the closer we are to happiness. How wrong we are. Our thirst for 'Leading' grows. We, later on, lose sight of what we were chasing.

At some stage, we all use one another as stepping stones.

A spiritual relationship between the Creator and the creation is the healthiest of them all. The truth and art of life lay within the knowledge of acknowledging the beauty of this structured universe.

It is an undeniable feeling that I feel when I listen to those Hillsong heavenly gospel sounds that suddenly open those skies letting the waters spread as if misplaced. It is something.

For I am a fake product waiting to be disposed of but I am proud to announce it. I and all the beings that surround me have that fakeness as a wire that joins us and makes us all common with the imperfections placed within us.

It is that that makes us unique for even The Creator does not have it for He is the gap that we try to reach. You see before we were born, we were awaiting trial. In the simplest term we were non-existent, to be appropriate we had no life within us. Bodiless souls awaiting birth.

A disagreement with the Memorandum is as if one has forgotten the lyrics of a National anthem that the country sings whilst holding their chests tight as if their hearts are about to fall off.

Page 28~

Our mind is our worst enemy. Our worst enemy is our mind.

The most poisonous manipulation can come from one's inner consciousness when that voice outsmarts you. You know it, that same fucker that said you had every reason to be angry and lash out. The same one that got you feeling like total crap after. Yes, that **.

We are all victims of manipulation, from birth to death. Even the most intelligent men are manipulated then you wonder how Isaac could have been so dull, like how could he be so blindsided. Oh well, what goes up must eventually come down right?

Page 30~

You will always have the desire to search for something unique and purposeful. Like being able to make a real live time machine, which will be kinda cool.

The purpose is built on discovery. The Bushmen discovered how to form fire merely from a stick and a moon rock(Magicians). The new generation discovered 'Technology' and it having a lot of development branches within it.

We were born with limitations taught to us about life. "You are in need of this Charlie, you can't do this Mary".

You and I are not in short of anything both physical and spiritual. Let me elaborate. We are all born with what we need, despite being blind, deaf, or any disability you might have.

Page 32~

We are complete the only thing we lack is acceptance. A blind man sees things that most sighted people fail to spot why so? It is simple as what his eyes fail to see, his mind creates an image to view. If your sight is multifunctional your mind takes control, for a mind controls everything in your body including your heart.

"Stop thinking with that thing in your chest Sara" actually means 'don't let your emotions get the best of you'.

Last words.

what if I never existed, I was just a mere imaginary character that you longed for. Would you let me go after you end up knowing the truth? Or would you hold onto me still?

Message to Dave: Part of me dies as you grow up, that is not a bad thing, for part of me wants to leave but fears leaving you alone but I have learned that you will always be accompanied by Julia." You have to learn to forgive yourself for the things you cannot change.

Out of ink.
